The "hls" > type is only added to LMS when plugin has added support for it. MAI makes lookups that fail but they do fail relatively gracefully (in that UI is not full of errors) - however, I assume that MAI is not always called and the user is probably not going to call up MAI info when only programme details are shown. Having extra attributes for MAI (or whatever) would go part way towards my suggestion in a different thread to have a richer set of Now Playing info (including programme name, synopsis etc). However, I presume it would need the UI providers to know about it as well since they call MAI with parameters at present (or could MAI choose to ignore them by going directly to the playing song object ... and perhaps have a new parameter to MAI to tell it not to do that?) Using the latest Material (1.80). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
I forgot which playlist/app I was listening to the other day, and I guess I didn't turn it off. Tonight i turned it on, and LMS was still playing. I liked the list that was playing, and obviously it was "Don't Stop The Music", but I can't tell what the source is - Qobuz or Last FM or Radio Paradise or who knows what. It's playing FLAC and sounds great. I can't see anything on Material Skin that tells me what the source is. I know there's a setting somewhere for don't stop the music but I can't seem to find it. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer V1.6 (and higher) & BBCiPlayerExtra 2.0 (and higher) Support
As a happy and grateful user of many years, can I ask two questions in one go here: I've noticed for a while, that the iPlayer listings shown in LMS all appear to be 1 hour out (early). While it doesn't affect use, I'm intrigued to understand why. Is this some GMT/BST thing? Is it even installation specific? (My setup is piCorePlayer 6.0 running LMS 8.0.0 on a Pi 3B+, using native audio, in case that's helpful) I've also checked and the time on the Pi is right. The time zone is set to "GMT0BST,M3.5.0/1,M10.5.0" Secondly, in the iPlayer plug-in settings, there are the values for "Minutes to skip back per keypress" and "Minutes to skip forward per keypress". My question is what buttons are these referring to. As well as using the Pi as a headless player (using either Squeezer on my phone or the LMS web interface from a browser) I have a couple of Squeezebox radios using the server. None of the buttons appears to skip backwards/forwards during radio playback. Am I missing something here? Or is it maybe designed for different hardware? AFAICT 2.52 is a very recent version of Max2Play - supposedly on Buster released in 2019. Are you sure you are really running 2.52 ? I think you should ask Max2play why is OpenSSL so old and 1.0.2 LTS ended support in 2019. Perl 5.28 is supposed to be part of Buster - your system is running 5.20.2 which was announced in 2015. BBC provides info in an inconsistent manner for all forms of broadcasting. BBC provide live info in the form of Primary, Secondary and Tertiary - text fields. BBC provide Programme info in the form of Program Title and Programme ShortDescription & Programme Long description I take from RadioPlayer metadata - Programme Name and Programm Description Catchup can have Programme Title, Programme Short Descriuption, Programme long description, Brand Name & Episode. In none of these is the concept of Artist, track , composer, participants etc identified and there is no predictability which fields are populated - for example at night a lot of live track info just stops. > Is this the reason why the composers pictures do not appear on Catchup? The image is what BBC supplies with the Catchup program metadata. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer V1.6 (and higher) & BBCiPlayerExtra 2.0 (and higher) Support
bpa Thank you for your hard work on implementing the track info. It works very well with Radio 3, and I get pictures of the composers as the music plays on live (eg Edvard Grieg as I type this). However there are no composer's pictures on catchup. However there appears to be a format difference between live and catchup (catchup is the same on both iplayer and extras). For live the format is Composer - track title. For catchup the format is Track title - Composer. (I suppose Composer may well = Artist). Is this the reason why the composers pictures do not appear on Catchup? fiorinis wrote: > I had favourite albums on qobuz but I have no idea of how to add them to > a library in order to create a hierarchy such as genre-composer-piano > (eg classical-beethiven-piano). is it possible ? With the online library integration you are limited to the metadata provided by the online provider. This is always messy - is composer "Beethoven", "Ludwig van Beethoven", "Beethoven, Ludwig van", "van Beethoven, Ludwig", or some random typo? I feel rather lucky that there is finally a "Work" tag that enables you to listen to a single symphony in the Karajan set, for example. My expectations are low. The way forward would be to have a shadow tag. You could envisage a system whereby each Qobuz file would have a linked media file that you could tag using MP3Tag. This would be created by the LMS scanner, and by default have the Qobuz tags. These tags could then be edited, and these edits would override the Qobuz tags. Unfortunately this would be a huge amount of work, I imagine, both for those working on the LMS scanner and Erland to make his custom browse use the shadow tags. It might also be far too complicated for most users, and likely to totally fart out if Qobuz changed anything. Hey, let's do it! 'Show current date and time' is a setting in the Material HTML5 app, not the APK app. In Material's settings page click the three dots top right, click 'Application settings' (only visible when Material is run in this APK). This will take you to the APK's settings - in here you can change the statusbar (top) and navigation bar (bottom) visibility settings. *Material debug:* 1. I am playing BBC 6 Music at the moment and it is picking up song info - which is good. How about risking a split on the first " - " to try to have artist and title separated and (if matched) squeeze show name and synopsis into Album? So rather than Code: Artist: Lauren Laverne : 04/06/2020 Album:We pick a theme, you pick the songs - that's the People's Playlist. Title:Muzz - Red Western Sky it would be Code: Artist: Muzz Album:Lauren Laverne : 04/06/2020 / We pick a theme, you pick the songs - that's the People's Playlist. Material uses "min()" in its CSS files from 1.8 onwards, to set the cover size. AFAIK, this is pretty new in CSS - so its likely your browser does not support this. Any chance you can install the git version of Material? I've added a work-around for browsers that don't support "min()" - but I have none so can't test! *Material debug:* 1. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] TIDAL comp. to Spotify - Online Music Library integration
Hi Michael Thanks for your reply. You ask for information in the server.log - but nothing is logged related to pause and return play of a song. When you pause in a "favorit TIDAL song", start playback and look at the web interface you will see: The clock showing the amount of time the song have been playing starts but no music can be heard. After some seconds the time play clock return back to when the music was paused and start counting again - still no music. This sequence seems to be repeated forever.
