I am pretty sure I'm not waiting for 7.5 but was wondering whether we should

Re: Moving from IIS/Atlanta to Tomcat

2008-07-17 Thread Schon, Stuart
I have installed midtier 7.1 with Tomcat alone, IIS/Tomcat and
IIS/ServletExec

Tomcat will work quite happily with IIS, performance may be affected but
it works quite well.

If you are happy with IIS/ServletExec then you can stay with that too
using Midtier 7.1. Install as a minimum JAVA 1.5_15 (1.6 works as well)
and install Midtier picking the right Webserver and servlet engine (I
installed it into a separate directory so I could use both 6.3 and 7.1).
Add path into servletexec and off you go.

As a preference using Tomcat alone gives excellent performance

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your kind suggestion.

Before that I have done one customization like "when anybody changes the
profile status, password should be reset (One common Password).

Bur it is work around for only Requestor console. Like when any Requestor
opens Remedy user. Authentication failed error comes because password has
been changed.

But when Internal support people create a ticket for requestor through
Incident management Console, one error comes but still ticket create for the
offline people.

Sandeep -

I had this requirement a while back. I put a character field on both the
home page and the requester console, and then populated it with the status
of the user profile when the form opened. If it was anything other than
'Enabled' I closed the window (All Windows). Pretty simple but it got the
job done. A pretty savvy user could get around it by constructing a URL to
go straight to a form, but that's probably not going to happen.

Also make sure when you set people to offline you change their passwords.

We have run into this exact problem in various areas of the workflow. For
some reason the 'Status' field is not often considered in the workflow
qualifications throughout ITSM, causing issues as you are seeing. However,
I have found in at least one case where 'Status' was considered, but it only
ignored the record if it was set to "Obsolete" and not "Offline". You may
want to try the "Obsolete" status first, and if that doesn't work you will
have to modify the workflow to consider the 'Status' field.

When I modify the people information like "people status--offline" or other

Has anyone faced this problem before and how was it resolved?

Next ID Blocking - Caveat

2008-07-17 Thread Rick Cook
For those of you thinking about using this new feature, here's some
information you need to have that the docs don't provide.

We set the Next ID blocking level at 100 at the Server level, which the
manuals say is only a default value. NOTHING in the docs indicates that
this turns ON blocking for ALL forms, which makes sense, since there is no
reason anyone would want to do it on the vast majority of forms. The docs
say (or at least imply, and Support has stated nothing to the contrary yet)
that the value set at the server level can be overridden at the form level,
but only where the box is checked indicating that you wish to have blocking
used on that form. Otherwise, it is supposed to be ignored.

We had the nextID blocking enabled at the form level on a few select forms.
However, the blocking was happening on all forms, even those where the check
box enabling it was not checked.

The only way we were able to turn it off for those forms was to remove the
default value from the server configuration file, and reference it only at
the form level in every way. This is at least a documentation bug, and
perhaps a product one. Hopefully, Support will be able shed a bit more
light on it, and if/when they do, I'll pass it along.

Caveat Emptor.

Re: Runmacro for export in an escalation

2008-07-17 Thread James Ward
Here is the command that I got to work executing from a filter:

"D:\Program Files\AR System\runmacro.exe" -o "D:\Program Files\AR
System\User\testexport.csv" -x "$SERVER$" -U USERNAME -P PASSWORD -f
"FORM_NAME" -t csv -q "'300984400'=""3000"""

As you can see the extra quotes are necessary. Two double-quotes together
within a set of double-quote translates into a single double-quote within the
double quotes.

The best suggestion I can make is to turn filter logging on, copy the runmacro
command and past it into a command prompt to test. The information in the log
will give you how the system translates your filter.

Then you can play with the single and double quotes until you get it to work
the way you want.

Best of luck.

Re: LDAP Integration with AR Server

2008-07-17 Thread Rick Cook
Are you integrating LDAP with ITSM 7? If so, you will want to have an
intermediate form of your own construction into which to push the data from
LDAP. Then you can check the data for accuracy, requirements of ITSM, and
do any formatting you need, etc., and THEN push from that form into the
People form.

Having been doing a bit of Java recently...I envisioned something like
Field.checked("3rd Option") = TRUE...I know that it doesn't follow remedy
run-if statements...but I imagine that they would be able to do it in a
'remedy' way...:)...even if it was a run process (like they seem to be
adding more and more of these days) that returned 1 or 0 (true or false),
and the input was (field, value)...and it would check to see if that field
had that value checked or not

True a binary coded field would work, but you can't run a Mod or a bitwise
or type function in a Run-If to see if a specific value is selected. Think
about writing a filter to fire if the 3rd value (out of 10 possible) is
selected.

The other way I have seen it done is to use a Character field position (if
you have 10 checkboxes the value is a 10 character string and each checkbox
is represented by 0 or 1 in the position in the string). Using this method
you can use a pattern in a Run-If to compare ('zTmp' LIKE "__1%").

Re: java.lang.NullPointerException email error

2008-07-17 Thread Hall Chad - chahal
I've had this problem every few days since upgrading from 6.3 to 7.0.1
patch 5. It occurs when the Email Engine loses its connection to AR
Server, a risk that is higher in my environment because I have a
separate standalone Email Engine server. Once this happens all new
outgoing emails get this error, their 'Send Message' value is set to
"Error" (taking them out of the "queue"), and their associated ARTask
attachments are lost. We have to cycle the Email Engine service and then
requeue the messages.

BMC says 7.0.1 patch 7 fixed this, but it actually made the problem
worse in our dev environment so we never pushed it to production. We're
now trying patch 8 but haven't been able to install it successfully yet.
Hopefully you have better results with patch 7 or 8.

Re: Check Box Problem

2008-07-17 Thread Grooms, Frederick W
True a binary coded field would work, but you can't run a Mod or a
bitwise or type function in a Run-If to see if a specific value is
selected. Think about writing a filter to fire if the 3rd value (out of
10 possible) is selected.

The other way I have seen it done is to use a Character field position
(if you have 10 checkboxes the value is a 10 character string and each
checkbox is represented by 0 or 1 in the position in the string). Using
this method you can use a pattern in a Run-If to compare ('zTmp' LIKE
"__1%").

this done in lots of implementations...including Remedythe 'log'
check boxes in the server info screen are done this wayit's all
stored in a single value in the ar.cfg file, and you need to 'decode' it

write an interface to that sort of thing.

I'm not sure I agree with that ... If you allowed a Radio Button to be
multi-selected (which is basically what you are suggesting), how would
you use it in a Run-If?

Personally I think that extending the character field w/menu Append
Items functionality to have a Show as Multi Select option would be the
way to do it.

More details are in the manuals regarding this subject...but basically, the
fields you specify are ordered by their xy coordinates left to right, top to
bottom in a z pattern, not taking page holders into affect. If you want a
bit more control over it you can create a view named something very specific
(check the docs) that includes only the fields you want, in the vertical
order you want them in. Or you could do as suggested in another postdo
it via html template instead.

The best way to do custom email is to use HTML templates. You create an
HTML page with your desired page layout and include Remedy form fields
by encapsulating the field name like so: #$$Summary$$# then create a new
entry in the Email Templates form and attach the HTML file.

When creating or modifying notifications you can configure it to use
this template. Be sure to include in the filter all fields defined in
your template. If you don't, the resulting email will show the field
name text (like indicated above) instead of the field value. Make sure
only to include fields that have Public view permission.

Re: SQL 2K5

2008-07-17 Thread Joe DeSouza
Dave,

What ARS version are you on? Is that compatible with SQL 2K5?

If not you might have to run a Stored Procedure on MS-SQL to alter the db
compatibility level of SQL to the compatible level that is appropriate.

I think the stored procedure to change the compatibility level is SP_DBCMPTLEVEL

Compatibility levels for different versions of MS-SQL are as follows:
60 for MSSQL 6
65 for MSSQL 6.5
70 for MSSQL 7
80 for MSSQL 2000
90 for MSSQL 2005

For eg if the AR Server is compatible with MS-SQL 2000 and you are on MS-SQL
2005, in your query Analyzer you would run

SP_DBCMPTLEVEL ARSystem, 80;

You may have to run the statement
RECONFIGURE;

If you require to run RECONFIGURE, it will prompt you for that..

Hope this helps..

Asset Mgmt: Target Cost Centers and cost distribution

2008-07-17 Thread Janie
I have set up a Source cost center and 2 target cost centers with equal
distribution.

I am trying to understand where the split in costs occur for this split cost
center?

I had assumed that when you create an Asset and create a purchase cost
against the source that it would in turn create two cost entries for the
target cost centers; however, this is not happening.

Perhaps, I am not understanding the intended use of this functionality???

Can someone explain where you would see the split costs or if you can?

Different encoding on WUT and Midtier (tomcat)

2008-07-17 Thread Andrei Kapkow
Hi,

MS SQL 2005 (cp1251, not Unicode)
Win 2003
ARS 7.1
Java 6
Apache + Tomcat 5.5

I have a problem with encoding. I've installed Russian views onto ARS. WUT
works perfectly fine.
When I log onto Midtier - everything entered from the User tool seems
spoilt. If I type something there I read from there as well, but that data
seems spoilt now from the WUT.

It seems that WUT and Midtier display data in different codepage. The WUT is
correct though because what I type there I can read in the database
directly.

I think it something wrong with Java settings. I tried changing (-D
file.encoding) tomcat settings according to KM-00024939. But that did
not help.

Any ideas?

Andrei.

Re: Check Box Problem

2008-07-17 Thread Reiser, John J
Didn't check boxes come about in the "dark days"?

I asked a Peregrim [sic] rep about that at a demo session in Philly.
His answer should have been telling me something. "I don't know why it
was built like that. Yes a binary coded field would probably work."

LJ,
Have you done this yourself? I toyed around with it but it wasn't a
priority and I didn't come up with a good solution to make it portable.

Re: People status other than enabled

2008-07-17 Thread Moore, Christopher Allen
Sandeep -

I had this requirement a while back. I put a character field on both the home
page and the requester console, and then populated it with the status of the
user profile when the form opened. If it was anything other than 'Enabled' I
closed the window (All Windows). Pretty simple but it got the job done. A
pretty savvy user could get around it by constructing a URL to go straight to a
form, but that's probably not going to happen...

Also make sure when you set people to offline you change their passwords.

We have run into this exact problem in various areas of the workflow. For some
reason the 'Status' field is not often considered in the workflow
qualifications throughout ITSM, causing issues as you are seeing. However, I
have found in at least one case where 'Status' was considered, but it only
ignored the record if it was set to "Obsolete" and not "Offline". You may want
to try the "Obsolete" status first, and if that doesn't work you will have to
modify the workflow to consider the 'Status' field.

Even Support person is also able to create a ticket for offline customer.

Has anyone faced this problem before and how was it resolved?

Re: Check Box Problem

2008-07-17 Thread Rick Cook
Well, you could do it with bit masking, but the fact is that they didn't do
that here, as they did in other instances. We have round buttons rather
than square ones for multiple options of a single selection, and can do
multiple fields for multiple square boxes. Not optimal, but an easy enough
set of options to get one to one's destination.

This is a plug-in problem I believe. I'm not sure completely but give this
a try -

You need to add this to your ar.conf file:

Server-Plugin-Alias: REMEDY.ARDBC.SERVER.ADMINISTRATION
REMEDY.ARDBC.SERVER.ADMINISTRATION :

...where
: is the fully qualified domain name of your server (making sure it is
DNS resolvable), and is the port for your server if you are not using
portmapper.

If you are using portmapper drop the : part.

and I am having a licensing problem, I cannot get the HOSTID. When I select
the Licensing link to open the form I get the following errors :

ARERR 8762 GETSERVERINFO Failed initialization values.

ARERR 623 Authentication failed

I noticed a problem with starting the service, it will not run when I select
"Run as a local system account" but it will run when I have it run as a
Domain User Account that belongs to the Domain Admin group.

I added the UserID to the local Administrator Group and gave it "Act as part
of the Operating System" and "Log on as a service" in the Local Security
Policy. I also changed the default installation directory to d:\AR System,
otherwise the initial install is plain vanilla to this point.

Re: Check Box Problem

2008-07-17 Thread Rick Cook
This is functioning as designed. Check boxes only allow one choice - either
the box is checked, or it isn't. If you wish to have multiple options, you
must display the selection field in one of its other modes. If you wish to
use multiple check boxes, you must have one field for each one.

This is a plug-in problem I believe. I'm not sure completely but give this
a try -

You need to add this to your ar.conf file:

Server-Plugin-Alias: REMEDY.ARDBC.SERVER.ADMINISTRATION
REMEDY.ARDBC.SERVER.ADMINISTRATION :

...where
: is the fully qualified domain name of your server (making sure it is
DNS resolvable), and
is the port for your server if you are not using portmapper.

If you are using portmapper drop the : part.

Hi Peter,

I changed the User0 and Password0 parameters but I am still being
prompted to sign on. I have tried to get this working 2 ways as follows:

1) Placing a url link on the remedy form. This will allow me to open the
report without logging in but will not display a single record. It
displays all the records. The url that I am using is:
http://crystal
server/crystal/enterprise/admin/en/viewrpt.cwr?id=3371486&init=actx:conn
ect&apsuser=remedyID&apspassword=remedypassword&apsauthtype=secEnterpris

2) Launching the report as BMC recommends as outlined in the Report Type
Run Command below. This will display a single record but prompts me to
log in.

Interesting thing I noticed - in the Run command in the Report Type form
the variables User0 and Password0 are passed. In the url above apsuser
and apspassword are used. I tried changing those in the run command but
it did not work.

Spell Checker - error on message on normal.dot

2008-07-17 Thread Jason Tricky
I added the spell checker OLE active link for our worklog and it works but to
some users a message box from microsoft word would popup after the spell check
and the error is - This file is in use by another application or user
(C:\Documents and Settings\...\Normal.dot) This only comes up when Outlook is
open when they do a spell check on remedy.  Does anybody here on the list who
have used the spell checker (WORD OLE active link) and seen this problem
before?  One of our software guys had experienced this but with another
application and he had to add 'Application.NormalTemplate.Saved = True' to
resolved it... Not sure how to put that on the OLE active link Please advise

Thanks,
Jason

Re: People status other than enabled

2008-07-17 Thread Lisa Westerfield
We have run into this exact problem in various areas of the workflow.
For some reason the 'Status' field is not often considered in the
workflow qualifications throughout ITSM, causing issues as you are
seeing. However, I have found in at least one case where 'Status' was
considered, but it only ignored the record if it was set to "Obsolete"
and not "Offline". You may want to try the "Obsolete" status first, and
if that doesn't work you will have to modify the workflow to consider
the 'Status' field.

Hi List,

When I modify the people information like "people status--offline" or
other than enabled, still Requester (Customer) is able to create an
incident ticket.

Even Support person is also able to create a ticket for offline
customer.

Has anyone faced this problem before and how was it resolved?

That is exactly what I am trying to do - specify the ID and Password in the run

Hi,

with Crystal 10 Remedy uses URL Reporting on unmanaged reports. Probably this
goes via the guest account in Crystal. So you may check this account and its
password. I do not know if you may specify the account within the url given
from the report type run expression.

For Crystal Server XI and BOXI such URL Reporting is no more supported.
Therefore Remedy introduced the AR Web Reporting application.

Best Regards
Rudi

I don't think so. I am being prompted by Crystal and have to log on with an
account that was created for me in Crystal. As for the parameter field no I
don't want to be prompted. How do I get the report to run and display info from
the currently selected record?

Brian

the login prompt is from the ODBC source, you need to configure that properly,
generally you should be able to save the user name and password for the ODBC
connection, and Crystal will not prompt you.

Regarding the second bit, a parameter field is supposed to prompt you, that
is the whole idea of having a parameter field. If you don't want to be prompted
for the parameter field, remove it from the header.

hope this helps

In my current setup I don't have a Crystal server, so I'm not sure if
this would work for you... but I'd try editing the ODBC driver on the Crystal
server (should be a system and not a user ODBC) and modify it to contain,
server, valid id/password. Despite that it may still prompt, but its worth a
try I think.

Ok I got this fixed. BMC gave me some new info to post into the Run
field in the Report Type form. Now that I can at least get the report to run I
am having a problem getting the results I need (sorry I do not know Crystal at
all). When the AL runs it is prompting for an ID and password on the crystal
server. Is there any way to prevent this? How can I pass along those
credentials?

The other problem is getting the report to display the correct info. I
have a unique Instance ID field in my form. The report actually contains two
reports, header info and details (one to many tables). I added the Instance ID
field as a Parameter field in Crystal and I am also being prompted for it. The
report runs OK if I type in the user id, password and instance id but I need to
automate this.

Can someone please steer me in the right direction.

Thanks

I don't know if it would work but there is always the option of using
the Notify Action. If you change the Mechanism to Other and put in an
Other Code > 4 it will put the notify output in a file on the server.

I use the Perl Plugin to do something silimiar. In your case I think
the filter would look something like:
  Action 1: Set Fields
Set DO Character Field with Perl code to save field
to file
Set DO Character Field with name of perl array used
in perl code
Set DO Character Field with diary field (This will
translate the dates)
Action 2: Set Fields calling Perl Plugin passing values as above and
returning file name of created file
  Action 3: Set Fields calling $PROCESS$ PERFORM-ACTION-ADD-ATTACHMENT
field_ID "file_name" into a DO field
Action 4: Run Process to delete file

Hi John,

That sounds like pretty good solution. I have done something similar to
automate emailing some basic reports (csv files) natively with only
Remedy and OS commands. One note on your clean up, running an
PERFORM-ACTION-DELETE-ATTACHMENT will not delete an attachment on the
harddrive, only out of a Remedy attachment field. You can either do a
run process that like "RUN PROCESS del \" or create a
small batch file that you can call from a filter and pass the file name
to it.

Another option would be to use Crystal Reports if you have them.
Crystal Server can send various format attachments (pdf, doc, xls) on a
schedule or on an event (but it takes a kind of hokey work around to
make events work). If you have Crystal Reports but not Crystal Server
you can use CRexporter
(http://www.rainforestnet.com/crexport-download.htm). It is a free tool
that can run a Crystal reports, export it in various formats. You can
easly call it from a filter to run the report and email it.

Shawn,

Two comments...

A) You should be able to remove the field label from an *.rpt output
file by defining the report definition without a string for the label
of the field.

or for even more flexibility...

B) You also could opt to output the data in XML format then post
process the XML into whatever form you want it in via some other
command line utility. ( Like using XSLT for example.)

Re: Licensing Problem

2008-07-17 Thread Matt Worsdell
Mike

There is a related KB entry:

The plugin server connects back to AR Server using what it thinks is the
Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN). This is designed behavior. The FQDN must
be resolvable on the network. In this case, it is not, hence the connection
error is issued. The FQDN in this case is "arprod.domain.com". The short
name of AR Server is "arprod". AR Server determines the FQDN by taking
"adprod", which is the server name (in ar.cfg file, its the Server-Name
parameter) and then AR Server does a Windows function call to determine the
domain. It concatenates the two together and believes this to be the FQDN.
Usually this is a problem when the Server-Name is not the same as the
machine host name (a server name alias).

There are a couple of ways to work around the problem, but the real solution
is to make the FQDN resolvable on the network.

Optionally you could add the FQDN to the host file so it resolves locally.

Another option is to add the following parameter to the ar.cfg file:

Server-Plugin-Alias: REMEDY.ARDBC.SERVER.ADMINISTRATION
REMEDY.ARDBC.SERVER.ADMINISTRATION adprod.domain.com

After adding this parameter, Remedy services would need to be restarted.
There is more information on this parameter on page 337 of the 7.0
Configuring AR System manual available online at Supportweb.

2008-07-17 Thread Pierson, Shawn
Sorry to take the original discussion off on a tangent, but do you know if
runmacro can be used to output to any other format that isn't specified on the
reports? My idea was to create a .ics file (iCalendar, which outlook can use),
but I couldn't find a good way to create a plain text file with no formatting

if possible.

Any suggestions?

Re: Wrong AR server in email link

2008-07-17 Thread T. Dee
This just happened to me the other day and Remedy said this is a known
issue, but said it is NOT a bug. They said there is a RFE submitted.
However, they had me go into the Mid Tier Configuration Web Utility and
click on 'AR Server Settings' and put the fully qualified domain name. If
you are not sure what it is go onto the server and at the DOS prompt type
'nslookup' and this will give you the fully qualified domain name.

Hope this helps.

2008-07-17 Thread Dwayne Martin
Way back when the world was young I submitted a suggestion to make the database
diary field content readable to workflow. I never heard anything about it.
Maybe if more people requested it it might happen. Or maybe there is some
reason why it isn't a good idea.

People status other than enabled

2008-07-17 Thread ITSM Support
Hi List,

When I modify the people information like "people status--offline" or other
than enabled, still Requester (Customer) is able to create an incident
ticket.

Even Support person is also able to create a ticket for offline customer.

Has anyone faced this problem before and how was it resolved?

Thanks,

AW: Integrating Crystal Enterprise 10 and MidTier

2008-07-17 Thread Funk, Rudi
Hi Brian,

Have checked some older notes and found:

http://crystalserver:8080/businessobjects/viewrpt.cwr?id=901&apsuser=Administrator&apspassword=&apsauthtype=secEnterprise&init=actx:connect

We were searching for calling managed reports instead on unmanaged to avoid a
share between ars and crystal.
Think this test has worked for us, but is now not used. I do not really
remember, but maybe the sequence of parameters is of importance (init at the
end).

Best regards
Rudi

Hi,

Our Crystal guys want me to use Crystal from Remedy by saving the report
on the Crystal server and calling a url from Remedy. So far it has not
worked. There are two pieces of info that have to be included in the url
that are not working - the user ID/password on the Crystal server and an
instance ID field on my Remedy form. Both are being ignored. Here is the
url we are trying to call:

http://crystalserver/crystal/enterprise/admin/en/viewrpt.cwr?id=33
71486&init=actx:connect&PROMPT0=$Instance
ID$+&apsuser=crystalID&apspassword=crystalPassword&apsauthtype=secEnterp
rise">Print Report

Has anyone launched a Crystal report this way? When I launch this url it
still prompts me for the Instance ID, Crystal ID and password.

Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian,
The ARWebReport viewer seems to be a cut down version of the mid-tier
that provides an interface to the crystal report server only. It can be
installed separately from the mid-tier and as I understand it, is
designed normally to be installed on the server with Crystal on it. In
your case I think you would like to connect the mid-tier directly to
Crystal. I haven't tried this scenario with the current version of the
mid-tier though I have done it with earlier versions of the mid-tier and
Crystal (pre the ar webreport viewer option). I will try it out for you
and let you know how successful I am. As I mentioned it may help resolve
an issue I am having with access to the crystal report server via a
proxy server.

I'll give you an update in the next 24 hours if you are interested.

Thanks,

Rod Harris

Hi Brian,

Sorry, I guess you want to have nothing at all on your crystal server
except the virtual directory. In my case I have installed the report
viewer on the crystal server therefore no virtual directory is needed.
The crystal server is remote from the mid-tier and the remedy server but
there is the ARWebReport Viewer on it (perhaps not remote in the sense
of the word the guide means).

I will try setting things up the way you mentioned and get back to you
if you like. The virtual directory method may solve some issues that I'm
having with users that go through a proxy server.

The mid-tier guide is a little confusing in the way it tries to cover
all the different options for setting up Crystal Enterprise Server and
mid-tier combinations. The bottom line is that the mid-tier needs to put
report files on the file system of the crystal server. It can do this by
being local or via a virtual directory. The mid-tier on crystal doesn't
have to be the same mid-tier as your main mid-tier it can be the
stripped down report only version that talks to the main mid-tier.

Does this make more sense? Sorry about confusing you earlier.

Rod Harris

Hi Rod,

You sure this is for Crystal 10 on a remote server? Page 177 of the Mid
Tier Admin guide says you need to create a virtual directory. Also
support sent me a video last night and in it they create a virtual
directory. I just want to know exactly what the Crystal Admin needs to
do so I do not have to go back to them.

Hi All,

Escalations on our Solaris ARS 6.3 system are not firing. I verified that
'Disable Escalations' is NOT checked. I have escalations being logged and
found that when I check / uncheck the 'Disable Escalations' option, few
escalations are processed and then nothing shows up in the log file. There
is no error in arerror.log either.

Tried restarting arsystem still same results -- Is there anything that I can
check...

You are bypassing the ARSystem Server hence why it does not work. SQL
Statements are great for updating records when you do not wish to trigger
workflow, hence the symptom you are experiencing.

AW: Integrating Crystal Enterprise 10 and MidTier

2008-07-17 Thread Funk, Rudi
Hi,

with Crystal 10 Remedy uses URL Reporting on unmanaged reports.

Rudi

Brian

the login prompt is from the ODBC source, you need to configure that properly,
generally you should be able to save the user name and password for the ODBC
connection, and Crystal will not prompt you.

Thanks
