IPSec Lab On the internet

2000-08-19 Thread Chuck Larrieu

You are all most cordially invited to join me on internet and on Dale
Holmes' chat site

http://www.allnetllc.net/chat/ciscochat.htm

to try this IPSec tunnel again.

Date: Saturday, August 19
Time: 7;00 p.m. California, 10:00 p.m. New York time
I believe that is 3:00 a.m. Sunday Aug 20 Greenwich mean time, and maybe
9:00 p.m. Sunday Aug 20 in Melbourne? ( I ran out of fingers long ago )

If everything works the way it is supposed to, there will be a telnet
session available at 64.220.150.9, from which you can telnet into the IPSec
router and observe, or maybe look at a debug or two. I don't have this set
up as of this writing, so I am not sure what commands will be available.

More details will be happening once we get the session going. Join us on the
chat site Saturday night (you folks don't have lives or dates or anything
because you're all studying so hard, right!?)

My partner for this experiment is the esteemed Mr. Circusnuts. Once we get
the tunnel set up and verified working, we can certain try to open
additional tunnels for those with the means of doing so.

Chuck

RE: Using Queing over the Internet

2000-08-19 Thread Chuck Larrieu

Suppose I need to do IPSec for whatever reason? I.e. I have data that MUST
remain confidential, such as financial or medical information. ( I.e. GRE
alone does cut it ) What does the configuration then look like?

IPSec_router<>GRE_Router<>ISP<>GRE_Ruter<>Your_Company_MPLS<>GRE_Router<>ISP
<>GRE_Router<>IPSec_router

Would that cover it?

What are your engineers saying about latency in this kind of setup?

I am not trying to knock you. I am just trying to get a good idea how this
works. I have customers to whom this might be worth mentioning.

Greetings,

I am actually working with a company that will be offering a product with an
SLA over the internet. One caveat is that you can not be more than one ISP
away from the company on either end. They will be using GRE tunnels to the
ingress router, then they will create MPLS Traffic Engineering Tunnels (TE)
to transverse their network to the egress router and finally GRE tunnels to
far end customers site. They have built a nationwide fiber optic network to
support this product and it should be interesting to see if businesses
choose to pay a premium for the SLA.

Thanks,
Jeff

RE: CCIE Written exam material

I come from a very skeptical world and when something looks the way they do,
I think "fishy". But they could very well be legit.

It doesn't sound fishy so much as it sounds poor... It costs a lot to start
a business these days (having done so recently I know for sure...).

I am sure that they intend to co-locate their own dedicated server somewhere
and buy their own domain, etc. once they get off the ground.

I see nothing wrong with some technical folks getting together and starting
a business on a shoestring. If it never goes anywhere, the loss is minimal,
if it only does moderately well, then at least they have reduced overhead to
a bare minimum. If it takes off wildly, then they can re-invest the profits
and build the business to meet the demand.

I have to say that the sample questions that they show are much like a test
that I once took... Maybe their materials are OK. If you spend $50 bucks and
the materials don't get you through the exam, it won't be the end of the
world. If, however, the materials never show, or turn out to be total crap,
then that's another story, but that could happen with stuff from anybody,
whether or not they own their own domain and web/smtp server.

What they ought to do, though, if they want to instill a sense of confidence
in potential customers, is publish a contact name and address (real physical
address). That way at least people would feel like they could be reasonably
assured some success if they ever had make any kind of complaint about the
service...

Just my cents...

Re: Transit traffic

2000-08-19 Thread Frank Wells

I just happen to have a document open which defines this.
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/cisintwk/ics/icsbgp4.htm

Look at figure 12-1. From later in the text: AS 200 is a transit AS for AS
100 and AS 300---that is, AS 200 is used to transfer packets between AS 100
and AS 300.

Transit traffic is that which travels from one AS to another by way of an
intermediary AS. The intermedialry AS is the transit AS because it is used
to essentially move the traffic between As's.

NVRAM problem

2000-08-19 Thread harora

Dear all,

I have a router in which when I try to save the config by using the command
"wr mem" or "copy run star", it gives an error message saying

"NVRAM invalid, possibly due to write erase"

I have tried the option "config-register 0x2102" but still it gives the
message
  NVRAM verification failed
"non-volatole config memory has not been setup, hence bad checksum"

When I make the configuration the connectivity becomes thru, but when i try
to save the config, it gives the mentioned error message.

What can be the cause of this. Any help is highly appreciated.

P.S:The IOS is present in the flash as it shows the file name also.

Thanks
Hitesh

Re: Access lists

2000-08-19 Thread Erick B.

Let me explain.

There are several commands in IOS that use a
access-list to decide what to permit/deny, etc
(access-group, etc). You may be using several of these
commands in your configuration and they can point to
the same access-list # if you have a common rule set
up or different ACL #s if the rules are different. If
the rules are the same, it's easier to have 1
access-list for stuff and reference it with
access-group, etc then building the same ruleset on
every interface, etc.

Hope this helps.

Re: 2621 Router crash with compression module activated

2000-08-19 Thread Oz

Bus Error / SegV Exception
Bus errors and SegV Exceptions are the most common types of crashes. They
occur when the processor tries to access a memory-mapped address that either
does not exist (software error) or does not respond in time (hardware
problem). A SegV exception occurs only on the RISC processors when the
memory-mapped address does not exist.

The type of processor (RISC or 68000) is seen using the show version
command.

Below is the important information you see in the output of show version
taken from two different routers:

cisco 3640 (R4700) processor (revision 0x00) with 49152K/16384K bytes of
memory.
  ^
  +- The R indicates a RISC processor.
cisco 2500 (68030) processor (revision D) with 8192K/2048K bytes of memory.
   ^
   +- This indicates a non-RISC processor.
The address the processor was trying to access when the system crashed
provides some indication as to whether the failure is due to software or
hardware.

For the 68000 processors, if the operand address is a valid physical memory
address in the memory map, the problem is probably in the hardware. Bus
errors on an address not in the map usually indicate a software bug. Get the
show stack output decoded.

For the RISC processors, the rule about addressing errors being due to
hardware when the address is valid doesn't work anymore. This is because
some memory regions do not support all types of CPU accesses, and the
hardware will correctly return an error if the software incorrectly uses the
wrong access mode. On RISC processors, the virtual addresses are used
instead of directly accessing the physical addresses. Get confirmation from
an experienced engineer before swapping hardware based on an addressing
error

Right. When the BDR hears the update, it starts a timer. If the DR
doesn't respond when the timer expires, the BDR promotes itself to DR
and takes over.

Re: Using Queing over the Internet

2000-08-19 Thread Jeffrey Humphreys

Thanks,
Jeff

TACACS+ question

2000-08-19 Thread Saeed, Amer S ARCENT-KU Contractor

Hi folks:

I am using an AS5300 for our dial-up service and the authentication takes
place on a NT machine running Cisco Easy ACS 1.0. I have NT User
authentication and Grant Dial-in permissions checked. Have a few questions
about this:
1) How can you have the AS5300 point to more than one TACACS+ server for
authentication in case one of the TACACS+ machine fails?
2) Can we have one TACACS+ machine authenticate more than one NAS? I didn't
see any option of adding more than one NAS server???
3) If we use no authentication for PPP(aaa authentication ppp default none),
is there a command that can block a user from dialing in by their username?

Thanks for all the help anyone can provide.

Re: Transit traffic

2000-08-19 Thread Ed Moss

I bellive transent traffic would be "sub-optimal routing", or traffic that
is not addressed to you network. Another way of saying it... this is
traffic that should never get to your network because there should be a
better path to its destination... its just "passing through" to get to where
it needs to go and using your valuable bandwidth along the way.

Problem with Console Port

2000-08-19 Thread Khurrum Shahzad

Hi ,

I am facing a problem with my 2501 router. It was working fine, but for
the last few days I am not able to connect to the console port of the
router. It shows nothing on the screen when I try to connect and press
enter. When I checked the Signal level of the console port on my Break Out
box, it showed me the continuous LOW status of TxD signal. When I reboot the
router, it shows me the startup messages and finally after showing all those
messages it hangs and TAKES NO INPUT from the HYPER TERMINAL. I have also
tried many terminal Software like Telix, Teraterm.

The router has no prior configurations (as I did an ERASE STARTUP
CONFIGURATION before), so I am not able to connect via TELNET or AUX port.

Is there any way out???

Can I replace NVRAM of this router with any other NVRAM having configuration
and then connect with the router with AUX port or via TELNET?
Is NVRAM Of 2501 router replaceable?

Khurrum

The Backup Designated Router is interested in the update, because it needs
to automatically take over DR duties if the DR fails. If the OSPF neighbors
were using the DR's IP address (unicast) instead of the multicast address,
they would have to learn the new DR's IP address if the former DR went down.
With multicast, the LSU is just sent to 'All Designated Routers', and the
routers currently designated as DR and BDR respond to the packet.

Hi Guys,

Just to let you know that I am once again attempting the CID exam on Friday
13:30 GMT. Hope this time goes better than last (need to find 7%). A
question to everyone, my director has agreed to let me go on a 2 week Lab
with a training company for the CCIE, although I reckon that's marketing as
it is just a lab for a fortnight which forces you to try every protocol /
design under the sun. For the people in the UK it is with Horizon (anyone
done this with them b4), for everyone else do you reckon that this is a
waste of time. One of the prerequisites for this lab is to have passed the
CCIE written although I am wanting to use this lab as a help towards the
written / then to find out what I am lacking for the actual lab, is this
overkill? Another point now is what area is better to concentrate on the
CCIE R/S or the design, any views?

No Flames Please.

Windows NT already allows up to five IP addresses on one computer by
clicking the 'advanced' button under TCP/IP configuration.

I believe it can be done under Win9x clients by editing the registry and

PRI to BRI call question

2000-08-19 Thread JCoyne

I want to setup a lab where RouterA uses a BRI line to connect
to RouterB using a PRI line. RouterA is a 2501 with a Motorola
TA Connected to S0. The ISDN Switch is an Adtran Atlas 550 with
a PRI card and a quad BRI card. On the PRI side can I terminate
the circuit with a regular CSU/DSU set to B8ZS - ESF and program
the router to treat it like a PRI line? Do I need a different piece of
equipment or a router with a PRI interface to accomplish this?

After I get that working I want to have 4 Routers using the BRI
lines call into the "main router" using only the PRI? Is this possible?

Hi Everybody,

Can anybody recommend any good study material for the BCMSN exam.
I have heard that the CCNP Switching Exam Prep from
Sean Odom is very good. Can anybody confirm this ?

I would really appreciate any feedback.

Error Message: %LANCE-3-UNDERFLO Unit [dec], underflow error
Explanation:

The Ethernet hardware is requesting data faster than the system can supply
it. This should never happen unless a serious malfunction has occurred.

Recommended Action:

Contact Cisco Systems. ( this is from cisco's site and i do not work for

Switches !!!

2000-08-19 Thread Raees Ahmed Shaikh
Title: Switches !!!

Installed a few 10/100 3com switches in our network, after a while started getting Ip conflict errors. The swithces were getting ip address from our obedient NT DHCP servers, unfortunately the switches are BOOTP enabled they got ips from some DHCP servers, ( I dont know from where as none of our DHCP servers had a reservation for those ips.).

The DHCP started to lease the same address to some wins dhcp enabled clients, which was granted to the switch this resulted in the conflicts.

Still trouble-shooting from where the Swiches took the ip addresses.

Maybe some of you can put some light on it.

AS5300 voip

2000-08-19 Thread chan

Hi All

I have a E1 line with a telephone number 4561743 in Singapore site. I got a
AS5300 in Singapore and Hong Kong. I would like all call from the E1 to
terminate it to a specific telephone in Hong Kong (55666777).

I would like to configurate it as when anyone call in Singapore As5300 with
the number 4561743, it will auto forward the call to Hong Kong
number(55666). That mean after dailing 4561743, i do not need to dial
the Hong Kong number. That mean once all call will auto forward to 55666777
when 4561743 is dial in singapore.

Pls direct to any sources that can help me to solve this.

Thank , with regards

A generic network question

Hi Group

If I have a network with all the workstations
turned on (e.g. NT Workstations just boot up at the
Ctrl+Alt+Del state) but no one is using any of
the workstations, will this network have any network
traffic? If yes, what kind? And, any tools to monitor
this?

Thanks.

RE: IGS Info

2000-08-19 Thread Chuck Larrieu

Y2K compliance is an issue only if you have functions that are time and date
dependent. For most people, and most applications, there is no concern. If
you need to run NTP, and your router HAS to be synchronized because it also
serves as a time source, for example, then this will be a problem.

The very expensive Y2K consultants a previous employer hired were never
appreciative of my responses when asked what I would do if it turned out my
routers were not Y2K compliant. I would tell them I would just unplug them,
reboot them. They would come up with the default date of 1992 and run for
eight more years.

By the way, anyone know if the world ended last January? If it has, I'd like
to take a few days off from work.

Re: BGP mesh

2000-08-19 Thread Rose Olsen

When an IBGP speaker receives an update from another bgp
speaker within its own AS, the receiving BGP speaker will not distribute that
update to other BGP speakers with the AS. However, it will distribute the
updates to EBGP speakers outside of its AS. In other words, if routers A,B and C
are in an AS. Router A connects to router B and router C connects to A, but
there is no connection between routers B and C. When router C sends an update to
router A, that update does not get passed on to router B, but it will get
distributed to external ASs.  This is why IBGP needs to be fully meshed. If
you have a large IBGP network, a full mesh may not be feasible. Router
reflectors can be used in this instance. Router reflectors are similar to having
a designated router in OSPF.

I believe this is the way it works. Can someone
else confirm this.

Re: A generic network question

2000-08-19 Thread Kevin Wigle

Plenty of traffic, workstations broadcast announcing services, registration
with WINS if one is out there, for NT Workstations they will authenticate to
the Domain Controller. (machine database - not user logon)

If you're using bootp/dhcp that will also be taking place.

And the traffic is periodic. Workstations broadcast every 60 seconds (I
believe) and on every protocol configured, i.e. if you have IP, IPX and
NetBeui configured, then that station will broadcast 3 times every 60
seconds.

Tool? Any packet analyzer, etherpeek, NetXray, etc.

Take a lone hub, put a workstation or two on it (don't forget a DC if you
have one) and watch the packets fly. More traffic than you probably
thought - now multiply that by about 100 or 1000 depending on the size of
your network and you'll get a good idea of the "overhead" before work is
actually being done!

Re: Transit traffic

2000-08-19 Thread whatshakin

That doesn't make a lot of sense Ed. Transit traffic is that which is
addresses outside your AS. This means everyone using BGP with more than one
AS generates transit traffic. Transit traffic then cannot be 'sub-optimal'.
If an ISP had a geographically dispersed network, they would have to move
traffic within their own network via transit traffic unless they used one AS
for all locations. Doing this over public or leased lines would probably
not be a good idea.

You need are router with a PRI interface to terminate a PRI line, the

Problem with Console Port

2000-08-19 Thread Khurrum Shahzad

Hi,

I am facing a problem with my  2501 router. It
was working fine, but forthe last few days I am not able to connect to the
console port of therouter. It shows nothing on the screen when I try to
connect and pressenter. When I checked the Signal level of the console port
on my Break Outbox, it showed me the continuous LOW status of TxD signal.
When I reboot therouter, it shows me the startup messages and finally after
showing all thosemessages it  hangs and TAKES NO INPUT from the HYPER
TERMINAL. I have alsotried many terminal Software like Telix,
Teraterm. The router has no prior configurations (as I did an ERASE
STARTUPCONFIGURATION before), so I am not able to connect via TELNET or AUX
port.Is there any way out???Can I replace NVRAM of this router
with any other NVRAM having configurationand then connect with the router
with AUX port or via TELNET?Is NVRAM Of 2501 router
replaceable?

Re: books on security specialization

2000-08-19 Thread bsp1016

Having taken the MCNS 2.0 beta exam, I can tell you that the test I took was
short on theory or design and very long on configuration(85-90%). Most of
what you need to know you can find in the Cisco Press Reference Library book
"Cisco IOS Network Security" ISBN 1-57870-057-4. Tailor your study to the
objectives.

Also, Chuck's recommendation to check out PIX configuration material from
Cisco's web site is a good one.

Re: IGS Info

2000-08-19 Thread Circusnuts

IGS's- don't
work...  buy something cheap (like a 3000).  The IGS came with 8.0,
9.0, & the last year was outfitted with 10.0  Y2K is
not the issue (default dates are in the early 90's).
Compatibility is what will stop this project.  You'd be better off getting
a AGS or MGS with 11.0.22 (multiple Serials/ Ethernet & backwards
compatible).  As far as ISDN, there are some lower line Cisco's (800's),
but the 3104 (3000 series) with 1 Serial/1 Ethernet/ 1 BRI is your best
bet.  Approx $300 on Ebay & maybe another $200 to upgrade to a full
2500 (11.2,11.3, or 12.0) status...

I've upgrade 10 or 15 of
them- let me know if I can help

Internet sharing? using a Cisco router?

2000-08-19 Thread AABAN34

I have setup Internet sharing with Win98SE and I have that all setup, but
now I would like to connect that into my network that is using a 10.X.X.X

address and it can not longer talk to my 10.X.X.X network. Should I setup a
198.168.0.0 in my routing tables? so both the 10 and 198.168.0.0 can talk?
would that work?

RE: Cisco 2500 router for VPN

2000-08-19 Thread Chuck Larrieu

It depends upon what you mean by "VPN".

The term VPN has become overhyped to the point where we find ourselves in a
dilemma along the lines of the supreme Court vis-a-vis pornography in the
70's We all know what it is, but we just don't know how to define it. :->

In my estimation, at it's very basic, a VPN is a network that uses the
public internet as transport. I put my servers here and my workstations
there and everyone gets to systems and services via the internet.

In my estimation, security is a separate issue, and should remain so for the
following reason. If one defines a VPN as a "secure way of using the
internet to transport private traffic" then one has determined that the
solution is secure without further evaluation.

Ways of securing traffic across the internet:

1) Compression. If the data portion of a packed is compressed, then one has
intercepted that traffic must recognize that it is compressed and then
uncompress it with the correct algoreythm. Not that there are a lot of
choices.
2) GRE tunnel. Again, anyone who intercepts traffic must recognize that this
is GRE encapsulated, and must reverse the process
3) L2TP etc
4) IPSec / 56 DES must recognize as IPSec traffic ( easily done - IP
protocol # 50 or 51 in the IP header, but then must know the underlying
level of encryption, and then decrypt. Somewhat easily done by brute force
using current standard desktop computers. Estimated 10-12 hours using
today's high end equipment
5) IPSec /128 DES etc but the likelihood of brute force cracking of the key
such that it would take 100 years or so using current high end computer
equipment
6) Etc

As to whether or not a 2500 can do any of these things, the answer is yes,
given the appropriate IOS feature set.

As to whether or not you WANT to use a 2500 to do any of these things, that
will depend upon amount of traffic, number of connections, type of security
you are using, size of pipe you are using ( yes there are issues with
bandwidth available on an IPSec interface. And bigger is not necessarily
better here )

FWIW, I talk to customers regularly about this. Many people want to
"leverage their existing Cisco equipment" to do VPN's. I try to educate them
on the relative merits of attempting to use those old 2501's, placing
encryptor cards in higher end equipment, or going with a new dedicated VPN
tunnel box, such as CVPN, Checkpoint, or VPNet

In a lab setting, the 2501 is fine. In a production setting, just be aware
of the limitations.

Did they prove to be helpful for the exam? I dont want to waste my time on

Please help with the routing problem

2000-08-19 Thread Filomena

Hi, everyone, I would appreciate if you could help me.

Here is the network setup:

-->E0-RouterA-S0<-->S0-RouterB-E0<-->Firewall<-->E0-RouterC-S0<--->Internet

The problem is that RouterA cannot access Internet.
RouterB is configured with default route pointing to
the firewall's LAN interface, and it can get to the
Internet just fine. RouterA has default route pointing
to S0 on RouterB. RouterA can ping hosts on RouterB's
Ethernet subnet, but cannot ping Internet hosts. When
I try to trace Internet host from it, the trace stops
at the S0 interface on RouterB. The routing between A
and B is EIGRP, and it is working, because routers can
reach each other's Ethernet subnets. Firewall has all
the ports open.

It seems to me that when packets addressed to Internet
from RouterA reach RouterB, RouterB does not know what
to do with them. How can I fix this?

Thank you.

How far are they roaming? Aironet is a LAN solution. You can only go
approximately 150 feet, depending on obstacles.

I might be missing something, but VPNs and Aironet don't even seem to
belong in the same category. Maybe if you tell us more about your
application, we can provide more info.

BRI to PRI call question

Re: Aironet vs. VPN

2000-08-19 Thread Billy Monroe

A potential employer (an ISP) told me that they need to deploy a project to
enable network access to remote users. He mentioned they are considering
Aironet. Probably the distance is the key factor: if you are in a building
Aironet will provide wireless connectivity.

I mentioned VPNs because I thought VPNs could also be a solution to provide
connections between mobile or remote users with their corporate networks via
a third-party network such as a service provider ... (and please correct me
if I am wrong)

IPSec trial tonight 7:00 Pacific 10:00 eastern

2000-08-19 Thread Chuck Larrieu

I think everything is in place. We will be meeting on the chat site
http://www.allnetllc.net/chat/ciscochat.htm
To discuss what is happening

For those who want to telnet in to my side to take a peek, the process is a
bit cumbersome. And there are only five simultaneous sessions available
 vty 0 4 )

Telnet to 64.220.150.9 from there you must telnet to 192.168.22.1 password
= yahoudi

There will be a number of show commands you can look at. You can also do a
term mon command to look at screen outputs.

Presuming we are able to establish an IPSec tunnel, one of the things I want
to do is pump some data across - maybe an extended ping ( with some big
packets ) and then take a gander at what this does to CPU usage on the 2501
router. This might help us all to understand the limitations of low end
equipment for high end applications.

After Circusnuts and I have established a tunnel and fiddled a little, I
will make available the information needed for others to connect. We can
check the load placed on the 2501 when there are multiple IPSec sessions.

Hope this works. Join us on the chat site in a couple of hours ( as of this
writing )

Dinner time now. See you all in a couple.

Halabi has the solution as usual.
From his first edition book, page 129.

"To avoid creating routing loops inside the AS, BGP
does not advertise
to internal BGP peers routes that are learned via
other IBGP peers.  Thus,
it is important to maintain a full IBGP mesh within
the AS..."

Within an office/wherehouse use DSSS is "ok", like Aironet. But for
building Point to Multipoint wireless networks for residential access in
tier 1-3 cities FHSS technology is much better.

DSSS may work, initially, but it doesn't take much for someone to screw
you up and take you offline.

Yes, if the corporate headquarters was connected to an ISP wireless, and
the user was roaming wireless, then the ISP could enable the mobile user
to have a VPN to the corporate HQ.

HSRP on cat-6009 with redundant sups

2000-08-19 Thread Mike Davis

All,
I am new to the 3layer switchs. We will be installing
a cat 6009 with MSFC, & a redundant sup1a.

I want to configure HSRP and/or load balancing. So my
question is can you configure HSRP with interface
Vlans based on the 2 sups? Between the reg sup and
redundant sup.
Where one is configured with odd vlans and the
redundant with even vlans. Like how you would do it
with 2 physical separate 6009 cat devices?

I have not really worked with any of the above
concepts. I have searched and read many books and
white papers but have not really found a solid answer
on this one. I understand you can do it between 2
separate devices such as routers and switches.
Is this possible between sups in the same device?

Thank you for feedback!

Hi

I am having a problem with my 2500 router. Seems that the image in the Flash
is corrupt. Could someone show me the step to be taken to erase the flash
and copy a new image from a TFTP server.

What are you in need of MAC addresses for? Each NIC comes with a MAC
address, are you aware of that?

RE: Aironet vs. VPN

2000-08-19 Thread Chuck Larrieu

Looks like there is an Aironet broadband product with a range of 25 miles
I suppose this is an ideal condition spec )

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/cc/pd/witc/wt2700/index.shtml

Cisco appears to be positioning this as an alternative to land lines for
business and ISP's. I did not do a thorough read, but it looks to me that
this is not really a mobile user solution at this time. I may be wrong.

Looks interesting, though. I can see a lot of opportunity here, particularly
in areas where the telcos don't plan on introducing new wire, let alone
fiber, anytime soon. Some clever company might just find a good niche in
some of our more rural areas.

How far are they roaming? Aironet is a LAN solution. You can only go
approximately 150 feet, depending on obstacles.

I might be missing something, but VPNs and Aironet don't even seem to
belong in the same category. Maybe if you tell us more about your
application, we can provide more info.

If you are on a network you have a mac address. In Windows 95/98 run
Winipcfg. On NT, open a dos session, type the command ipconfig /all to see
the mac address.

Yes you can do HSRP between 2 MSFC's in the same box.

"erase flash" is used to delete the flash.

to copy an image to flash from tftp just use "copy tftp flash" command and
follow the prompts. You will need a tftp server running of course to do
this.
