That is also probably the answer to your question. The X-Real-To appears to be the MTA's header that signals what it received in the mail header as the target or To: of the mail. The To: line that you see in Kmail is actually part of the body of the mail message, not the mail header. MTA's use the header and not the body to direct mail to the recipient so the body piece is ignored, except perhaps by your Kmail filters and the like. So, it appears that some spammer has figured out that he can send mail to you with a fake To: line in the body and try to avoid spam filters in that fashion. I have had this happen in my system as well with spammers forging From: lines in the body instead in an attempt to bypass spam filters. Since my MTA actually filters on the headers, it doesn't work but I do see the results. You might want to create another filter and make it filter on the body and simply dump all messages that appear to be for your colleague. -- Bryan Phinney Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? Something about kmail may be accessing a specific part of your hd, or using a specific amount of cpu or memory, or ethernet, and that is the cause of the crash. The reason I say this, a few years ago, sometimes when I tried to transfer files from-or-to one of the computers on my network I would get a spontaneous reboot. Now, the weird part is, more than one computer was doing this, but one specific computer was always involved (either it would reboot or the one being transferred to or from would reboot). However, that usually only runs once per night so if the file has been removed and updatedb has not run yet, slocate will show an improper location for a file that is not there. Run updatedb as root from CLI and then do a locate kmail and you might find that it is not on your system. -- Bryan Phinney Software Test Engineer Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? There is another thing that I have discovered by accident. If you configure the filter rules and in the box where the address or words are placed if there is a space behind them when you put the cursor there. the rules will not work. Make certain that the cursor in the address or words is directly at the last letter, don't have a space. I couldn't understand why a couple of rules didn't work, and that was the problem. I appear to have already made an RPM of klocate I did it for 9.1, but it works on 9.2 as well. It is available in the download area of my site. Also the syntax for using kio_locate is :- locate:/string/ Plus I wanted to emphasise how useful it is for desktop users to install anacron. Without anacron to run jobs which a server would do in the middle of the night your logs and your tmp folder will become huge, and lots of necessary housekeeping will not get done. The downside is that anacron will cause the hard drive to go berserk 15 minutes after you boot your computer. Do not panic it isn't broken. derek -- -- www.jennings.homelinux.net http://twiki.mdklinuxfaq.org Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? Go to http://www.mandrakestore.com

I know I messed around trying formats, though - .csv was one possibility, but I can't remember whether it works. I hadn't a clue what I was doing, which makes it harder to recall - but I think there were a couple of very similar-sounding formats, one of which worked and the other didn't. Also, I know I tried the different kaddressbook import formats, by exporting to a .csv file and importing list, and by exporting to a vcard. It may be that one that worked, because I also use GnomeCard, and I think that used vcard as an import. Sorry for rambling on - just thinking aloud and hoping that something here gets you on the right lines. I was sending them out through smtp to my local Postfix server and from there relaying through my ISP's mail server. Mandrake must have the UCE protections on their server turned on and for some reason, it is rejecting mail from me, probably because my local server is not pushing messages from a fully qualified domain with an MX. I solved it by creating a second identity along with a second outgoing account that sends mail direclty to my ISP's mail server. I associated the second outgoing account with the second identity and made it the default for the mailing list. Now my mail goes through. If you are using a local mail server and none of your mail goes out, it is possible that your ISP has turned off Port 25 on your network and won't allow you to originate mail from your connection. Earthlink does this. I have to relay mail through the ISP (smarthost) or else it does not get delivered. BTW, if my failures to mail to the list are due to UCE controls, Mandrake has it configured poorly. They should be sending bounces back to me but instead are simply dropping the messages. -- Bryan Phinney Software Test Engineer Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft?
