Hi,
I would recommend API-based tools such as the Data Import tool.
Or if you need more flexibility write your own tool.
Or maybe buy the scripting tool from Ben Cherneys @

Can Remedy use more than just basic authentication to consume a web
service? I am sure somebody has come up against this before.
Thanks,

That's the kicker - there's no difference.
I am talking a COMPLETELY fresh install - nothing changed whatsoever in the
app, conf files, or db
I have had this same problem on the following patches:
7.5 patch 005 (withdrawn by BMC)
7.5 patch 006
7.5 patch 007
I am installing on Suse Linux (non-root). The base install works fine
but after starting the server the arplugin server dies.
Commenting out the approval server fixes the problem

Hi Friends,
I am trying to integrate a portal with the ARS 7.5, using JAVA API, I
will be highly grateful if anyone can share a sample code which can
illustrate the example of Creating, Modifying and Querying (By Key and
By Qualification) records in Remedy using Remedy 7.5 JAVA API.
Thank You

Mike,
We are on 7.5.0 patch 6.
This is the command line that I am trying to use on our HP-UX server.
/opt/java1.5/jre/bin/java -cp
/u02/apps/remedy/ar/api/lib/arapi75.jar:/u02/apps/remedy/ar/api/lib/log4j-1.2.14.jar:/u02/apps/remedy/ar/api/lib/arapiext75.jar
by a new Java-based dataimport, but I can't find anything for
server-side data imports.
Searching arslist archives, I find threads from July for ARS
7.5 that seem to confirm that arimportcmd has been deprecated. I tried to
reply directly from it, but botched it somehow. Hopefully
