WOW...and I thought the $3500+ I've already spent on IP Expert self based
learning products would contain updates that are mandated by test changes.
And to think I have to pay more for the new Video series when all we had was
that 'mark SNORE' crap that was only good as a sleeping aid!!!
Well,
Totally agree Greg.

Greg (and Dew) - A totally new VOD product is going to ship at no
charge (you can check our website for the ETA). This newly overhauled
VOD is much, much better and was redone by Vik Malhi. We totally agree
with your comments on the initial one that was done by a former
employee.
I will rescind my comments that seem to suggest I am looking for a product I've
never paid forperhaps I misunderstood the 'walk-through' vs. the 'VOD'
product were different; my mistake.
Thank you for the clarification.

Wayne,
although this is a sales question I ask in the OSL as the question seems
to be common:
can you please push your sales reps to make a special offer for
existing BLS customers?
My case might be a bit special as I bought the v3 BLS, but prior to the
web site change.
Thanks and kind
Hello,
rate-limit invokes a feature called Committed Access Rate (CAR) which I
believe is not used so much nowadays.
Try instead clase based policying which is the new method that helps you
limiting traffic on an interface in the input and output directions based on
several criteria and follows

Simah,
If I understand your requirements correctly, they are as follows:
1. During Normal Business hours, you would like 36XX to go a call handler
with custom greeting to include specified caller input
2. After hours, you would like it to play greeting then take message.
To do this, in Unity
Hi,
cnf-file perphone option will not work unless you change the cnf file
location to other place different to system (default), try cnf-file location
flash: in telephony service configuration,
After that you should see if the specific phone configuration file was
indeed created,
Ah, also
Thanks Otto, that fixed it. I read that information 3 times on the cnf-file
perphone option will not work unless you change the cnf file location to other
place different to system in the admin guide but still could not seem to
understand what it was telling me.arrrgg.
Thanks again
Jeff, so you had to give cnf-file location flash: under telephone-service and
that fixed it. Could you please post your final telephone-service configs.
Appreciate it !!!

Sure Anil, pertinent configuration below. Key commands were under telephony
service…I had to have
BOTH cnf-file location flash and cnf-file perphone configured.
telephony-service
max-ephones 5
max-dn 10 no-reg
ip source-address 192.168.1.7 port 2000
caller-id block code *69
cnf-file
Awesome !!! Thanks a million,Jeff. A little confusion here...is not cnf-file
location flash: the default location for phone config files ???

No… default location is SYSTEM…I agree, a little confusing especially since the
Admin Guide does not address the commands needed under Telephony Service.
Thanks again Otto!

Hello Otto,
My thoughts exactly. What is the purpose of Number of Digits service
parameter?
Service Param = Partial Match, 10 digits
(Reset CCM and MVA service)
BR1 GW CLID = 44 020 5943 2785
Change HQ phone 2 remote destination to 1102059432785
That's very intersting in-deed. Thank you very much Jeff and Otto for your kind
guidence. Appreciate it !!!
Hi-Five :) to both of you

Hi All,
Does anyone know a good spot to look up all the services
(Extension mobility / IPPA / Presence / IPMA / Mobility) during the lab.
I've found some in the CUCM help but if anyone has a faster/better way I'd
love to know about it.
Thanks in advance!!!
Best way is just to memorize them. Otherwise just know where to search
for them. Here's my complied list and how to find them. (note: Case
