ISDN backup works, when EIGRP stops seeing hellos, the ISDN backup kicks in.
The problem is because the Ethernet interface (e1) is still in the routing
table all routes to the network e1 in on, are still sent via e1.

I have 2 pc's connected to a Cat5 switch on ports 2/1 and 2/2. The ip's are
10.1.1.10 and 20.1.1.20. Their default gateway points to 10.1.1.100 and
20.1.1.100 respectively. Trunking in enabled on these ports. A 2620 router
with subifs. at 10.1.1.100 and 20.1.1.100 is connected to port 2/12.
Is there a way to bar telnet access to a router, but still allow SSH? If
so, what are the commands?

You shouldn't configure your ports connecting to the PC's as trunk ports.
Each port needs to be a member of the correct vlan. The only port that
should be trunking is the actual port connecting to the 2620.

use "transport input ssh" on the vty interface:

I thought that the ppp authentication was going ok, as the first channel is
always connected, however it is only the second channel that is disconnected
after 20 secs.
I was looking at the output from the debug commands you suggested, and saw
the following on the router being called
I just did a debug ppp error on both routers when dialling in, however did
not have anything come up - so not sure if the problem is with ppp. Bugger!
