Sounds like a hardware failure or bad image of the PIX OS. Have you tried
reinstalling or upgrading the OS? You could also set up a SYSLOG server &
set up logging to see if it's trying to tell you what's wrong.
Also, just a shot in the dark, try setting duplex manually instead of
setting to aut

responses, no terminal port's responses. we only have to switch off, and

Assume R1 has IP: 1.1.1.1 and R2 has 1.1.1.2
R1 is the calling router.
So I configured the following in order to customzie the message on R1

It's not a problem, just a warning that you've upgraded your image and there
may be lines in your configuration which are no longer supported.
Just ignore it.
I'm not too sure what actions get rid of it. Something I've not bothered to
think about before.

Hi! thanks for the information. what technical topics did we miss in our
lab scenerios? also, here is the general list of equipment you can use to
do our labs:
2x 2501s (R1, R4)
2x 2503s (for ISDN) (R5, R6)
1x 2511 (reverse telnet AS) (access-server, can also use for

protocols, starting (I'd say) with the 1600 series and UP. Now to handle
the 120,000 prefixes out on the Internet is another story entirely :o)
