If you are using ip unnumbered,then there is no need to assign IP addresses
to the serial interfaces of Routers A and B.
You could do:
RouterA#show run
and check the listings that follows the serial 0/0. If there is an assigned
IP address, then you have not correctly configured the ip unnumb

I don't think that there is a solution to this. IGRP is classfull routing
protocol and you can't change it's behavior.
How about changing your IGRP to EIGRP? Any problems with this like
conversion to all Cisco equipment?

This was discussed earlier regarding the error message for a tftp server.
However, my question was still unanswered.
As suggested, the way to correct this is as follows:
Router(config)#no service config
Router(config)#Ctrl-Z
This eliminates the error message during the session. But after clear
time.
Could this be IOS version no. specific? Or there is something else.

It seems to me that there is nothing wrong with your configuration. The
network 10.1.0.0 is reachable from R2 based on the routing table.
on R2,try : ping 10.1.5.1 (the e0/0 of R1)
If this is successful, then something could be wrong with your LAN
connections.
