Sorry about this, but the 7.2 kernel just does not see IDE2 or IDE3
This is a feature, not a bug.
The best thing is, probably, (a note to initscripts and DrakX
developer), if security level = 4 (High) or 5 (Above), give a note that
they won't be able to log in to console. Also in the installer, I

There were a couple more problems I found. Appending the list of RPMs
for disk 1 to the mkisofs command gives it too ma
No initrd with 2.4.1-16mdk kernel, so lots of unresolved symbols on boot-up.
mkinitrd worked this time - so on reboot there were no more unresolved
symbols -- but still no scsi CD-ROMsrecognised! ;-(

Just installed cooker on my wifes machine via network, During setup it didn't
auto recognize the network card a realtek 8139. I selected rtl8139.o from the
list and installed fine.
I ran network config and it detected and installed the network card, at boot
time it didn't work, looked in /etc/
On a cooker install i get this error now with a recient rsync.

rpm2header correctly(are you using the old mkcd?) and needs build_hdlis.al
that does not exist in either the mdkinst subtree or a 7.2 system

well, actually I was/am able to build cooker rpms with Mandrake 7.2

Someone gave me a heads up on this issue. I wouldn't have thought of
this because a) modprobe will load the usb drivers, so I'd assume
usbdevfs was loaded, and b) deja.com is down. ;) It looks to me like

The board supports DMA/33 and Ultra DMA/66 on IDE1/2 and ata-100(or
UDMA100 if you like) on IDE3/4 using a HPT370 controller. The IBM
Deskstar Ultra ATA100 7200rpm drive is on ide3.
I haven't had time to play around hdparm yet so this is what the default
settings are reporting.

Installed everything, nice run.
Both Reiser and Straight repeats, find of REALTEK/RTL 8139 but at next
screen reports "no network card found".
Ctrl-Alt-F3 -> missing module 8139
warning: no network card found at /usr/bin/perl/perl-install/ network.pm
line 255.
