There is another thing to consider about that double licensing scheme :
Mandrake will not be able to accept external patches on their code,

Well I would say that it's a Xft2 problem then. Everybuddy is not
working correctly anymore: the text doesn't show up at all!
I have also problem with the menus of OpenOffice, do you think it's

I have got also problems downloading pictures from my usb camera (canon
powershot a40).
The camera is correctly set up and I can access the image directory with
konqueror. But sometimes it hangs during the copy and I have to do it again.

Actually the contrib CD has never been downloadable as an iso, but as
separate packages in a contrib sub-directory in the distribution
directory (there was one in the 8.2 directory) The question is if it

That mouse is correctly detected at install, but is not working at boot.
The /dev/usbmouse symbolic link is correctly created at boot, but it has

Please create a usb group corresponding to the group ID 43. It would
help the users of digital cameras, because they need to belong to that
group 43 to have access, as users, to their digital camera.

Congratulations for the first beta, it is very good, I haven't got a lot
of problems, graphically it is nicer and looks more professional than
previous releases.
