vortexbox OS version 2.4. I can google the IP address of the vortexbox
and I get the Vortexbox main menu. When I click on the LSM icon, I get
the message "This site can not be reached". Do I need to erase and

So, I have set up my VortexBox now. Instead of building a new box, I
reused an old ASRock ION 330 I found and upgraded it to 4 GB of RAM
instead of 2 GB and put in a 2 TB harddisk. So far, everything runs
smoothly. The only issue I have is with the Player (is it a

Once you have updated to 7.9 nightly - recommended - you can't update VB
itself through the Web GUI you must use the method described earlier in

It appears that the VortexBox brand is gone and Andrew has replaced it
with the Sonic Transporter brand on his Small Green Computer site. I
emailed him a few days ago about the forum and he indicated that he is
working to get the VB forum back up. No mention of a time line.
I absolutely love the Vortexbox and really appreciate the help and
patience Ron and Andrew have shown me over the years. Forum support
also has been a Godsend. I hope it continues and that Small Green
Computers continues to produce some form of Vortexbox Appliance. The
parts cost almost the same

I get a message that the server crashed this morning (and it seems to
