band in the K3. Grafting the 6m band, which is a VHF band, on to a HF
transceiver will always be a compromise at best and at worst it might affect

Does anyone have a sense of how much longer before

Wes Haywards has a preamp using BF998 MOSFETs
http://www.w7zoi.net/lna50.pdf. The PDF is a 50MHz preamp and instructions
to build one ugly style.
The MOSFET's will cost you $1.25 for about 20-30 of them.

I can't give you numbers or even a comparison with another radio since
there are no others in the shack right now but it seems to work fine for

The CW beacon of VR2 is at 50.075Mhz. The 50.110Mhz is the common DX window
