I've found a number of answers to this on the net, and they all suggest
that I change the ``Default URL handler'' using Gnome Control Center.
However, when I run gnome-

dropped a new 40GB IDE drive into one of my MDK9 boxes and used
diskdrake to do one big partition and format it as ext3fs. This went
successfully and it reported 38GB usable, so I proceeded to copy my mp3s

A co-worker of mine experienced a similar problem w/ a Compaq laptop. I
believe that the solution turned out to be re-building the kernel w/ the
latest ACPI driver. I'll ask him if he has any additional insight...

Also - just for information:
I saw something similar over the weekend. Due to problems with
an install (another story!), I rebooted in rescue mode, and the

I'm running mandrake 9.0 - any ideas how I change the above settings? I've been using gnome-network-preferences but it does not seem to be working. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Evolution is a GNOME 1 application, so you need to change the setting in the
GNOME 1 Control Centre. Unfortunately, I don't think that comes with Mandrake 9
(I can't check now), since it is based on GNOME 2.
