I removed the front cover and drilled out the power button hole.

I recently sent a question out in relation to unstable
output power on my 5000a. For reference I was referring to my power
output varying anywhere between 80 to 100 watts on peak when measured through
my power meter set at peak average power. Of course when I put my linear

The Flex5000 does not supply an ALC signal. The critical point is to set
up the audio chain properly which will result in the audio never going
above 0db. There are several write ups in the knowledge base on setting up
SSB audio, and youtube vidios, the most recent (via Google) is www.*yo

My shack desk with the Flex-5000 is within 14' of both the inside and
outside units of my Friedrich model M09CH inverter Mini Split AC system.
I haven't noticed any RF noise coming from the units at all. Mine run on
220v on a seperate branch that feeds from the same main disconnect from
the ele

provide some info if anyone is interested.

Hi All,
I have a Flex 5K (Flex reference :>) And am considering a
Mitsubishi Mini Split AC system for the house. These units use inverters to
drive the fans and compressor. These units are small, quiet and reasonably
efficient, but I'm VERY concerned about the inverters producing RF
