I finally, after a false start or two, got my hands on an MCE Wallstreet
optical expansion bay. I ended up with the rarest of the rare, thier
CDRW/DVD-ROM combo drive.
I immediately took it apart and examined its interface PCB, pics here:

external Zip cd-rw, via a USB card, and it does what I need it to do. Takes

drive do you have and how long did you have it?

I have used the Belkin USB (mod.F5U022) for over two years, and it
performs well on my Wallstreet-233-96m ram-under OS 9. I am told I need
OS x for the card to work on USB 2.0 peripherals.

week does not charge. Does not charge in a VST charger or the PowerBook
