No, it wouldn't have just said TF2 otherwise.

Just out of curiosity, I have to ask. Are you the Neph that created Coldstorm?

This part makes me nervous. If I suspect that my account may be compromised

Actually, Valve DID say long ago that eventually the two separate systems
(Quickplay logins/GSLT) would be merged into a single system.

First off this system has literally nothing to do with quickplay so I don't

While I'd like to confidently say that there's nothing to be worried
about, I think we all need an official response on how custom modes
should be handled so that we can put this to rest quickly, and stop any
doubts from spreading.
I just hope that Valve doesn't pull something really stupid wit
While they're at it, the quickplay rules need some TLC/updating as well.
One thing that comes to mind is that one of the things still listed as a

however (unless something changed that I'm unaware of) class limit voting

There is an excellent chance that anything that can or might, at vales

Do I need to point out that in CS:GO, your server doesn't show up in the
server browser if you don't have a GSLT?
So yes, there are reasons to be concerned.

On Fri,
CSGO is a very different game.
You fallaciously assume that the possibility of banning custom gamemodes in
TF2 guarantees that valve will, in fact, ban them.

Custom gamemodes or anything that changes the gameplay experience, don't
belong in quickplay to be honest anyway. IMO, people should be able to sign
up their server for this system with their custom gamemodes, as long they
turn off quickplay too, favorites being tied to a server steamid as opposed

Some other concerns I had about how Valve handled GSLT tokens in CS:GO:
1. Clients can only connect to servers with valid GSLT.
2. Item drops being limited to GSLT servers.
3. Arbitrary reporting system that bans servers for modifying economy
items. (Valve has taken steps to clear this up, however.

I think this would be more of a Quickplay thing, to be honest.
Valve's made exceptions in the past for custom modes, back when they
purposefully broke a plugin which allowed users to wear hats they didn't
own.

This would kill a LOT of custom game modes, such as Vs. Saxton Hale,
Randomizer, and PropHunt. To name 3.

As long as they keep banning abusive servers like ElitePowered (which was
hilarious) then I am fine with this new system.

I'm surprised Steam Mobile Authenticator isn't a requirement, but i suppose
confirmed phone numbers are good enough from "is this guy trustworthy?"
perspective.
Sounds like our servers are all set up and ready for this then. :)

Since someone is going to eventually going to ask this, I might as well.
Are community servers finally going to be allowed back into the primary
QuickPlay pool?
For that matter, will GSLTs finally do away with the need for separate
TF2 server identity tokens like we were told would eventually
This sounds promising :)

Hey everyone,
I wanted to give a heads-up about some upcoming changes to the way
server accounts work in TF.
In an future update, we are going to be introducing features that will
only be available to game servers that have a registered game server
SteamID, via the Game Server Login Token (GSLT)
