This is a CMS problem, not a z/OS problem. Are you IPLing from a 3270 terminal, with XAUTOLOG. It is saying that CMS cannot talk to the terminal. When you IPL CMS, do you have the PARM AUTOCR on it so that CMS does not prompt for input? Just a couple of ideas. John McKown Systems Engineer IV

Our previous management wanted Windows only also. They even had a hardware and software group lined up to convert all the z/OS systems to equivalent Windows systems (some sort of automated process). Luckily for us, MF Tech Services was allowed to ask questions (in writing). They had few answers.
