Finally! I got an afternoon where I was not sleeping, and did not have to work!
Went out and installed the new/used prop, a 52 x 36 so it is stamped. After a
month of sitting I fully expected to have to charge the battery before it would
start, but nope, it fired right up first time!

Try using an Elmer's Glue bottle for the contour angle. Build it up, and then
use self adhesive on the Elmer's bottle to sand the contour. Might give the
gradual transition you want

Larry Flesner shortened his wings slightly, I believe by not adding the wing
tip extensions past the spars, but simply closed out the wing at the end. He
reports his plane flies fine. I believe Roy Marsh built the KR2S that is
featured as the add picture for RR and it is also a clipped wing
I have read for several years about only running wooden props with VW direct
drive. Alittle research shows that the main reason was the crankshaft failures
near the keyway on the tip of the crankshaft wear the hub is. The Force One

I am going to be the spoiler here but I don't believe in using Aviation Oil,
much less a 50w oil in an auto engine. Multi viscosity oils were developed to
be compatible with auto engines under a wide variety of climates and
conditions. Running a thick 50w oil will only show great oil pressure
is, or related to flying, e-mail off the net and I
will be glad to discuss them with you.

The State of Florida came after me as soon as notification was received of the

All the rear drive accomplishes is to dampen the engine pulses to the prop so
that other than wood props can be used, and the theory is that that end of the
engine is designed for the rotational stress. No added torque or Hp is
achieved with the direct drive model. Use of a PSRU on the rear
letters/numbers, while all
others 3 inch. International use, even if crossing the ADIZ line into say
Mexico, or Bahamas, requires 12 inch letters/numbers and a US Customs Decal.

In case you cannot see where Kevin is going, if both the static and pitot line
ports had pressure applied from the car slipstream, the instrument would not
read, since it reads the pressure difference between pitot and static. The
static must be free to read static only.

The Hog Air line of engines are running a Harley carb, but I don't know the
size. I personally would pull that prop and see what rpm I could get with just
the engine being careflu not to redline the motor ( the same as revving it in
neutral ). If you can get close to redline with say half to
category, or build projects thinking they can certify in it, only to find after
so many years of hard patient buidling they can't.

I would still make up 2 samples and test each with and without the carbon fiber
to test their different load carrying abilities. I think you may find it
interesting. The "cuff" of carbon fiber will move the immediate loading of the
spar out board to the bare spar, while the carbon fiber will
that just love to fly! I commend all of us
