For idea on how LEAF should perform on your hardware, an old Pentium 1
with suggested 24Meg's of RAM can saturate a T1 WAN connection running
PCI network
for comment lines in the hostname file).
Other than these changes (all of which are included in the latest stable
busybox), I didn't make any other changes.

Sorry...shorthand for root device equals anything EXECPT /dev/ram0, so
linuxrc will run with an unpatched kernel (see main.c in kernel source for
the tests the kerenl does to decide if it should run linuxrc or not).

If I understand right, the steps are:
1. Create and compile a kernel of your choice.
2. Create a Minix file system and populate it with the contents of
root.lrp
3. Compress the Minix filesystem with gzip and put on disk as
initrd.gz
4. Modify linuxrc to run /sbin/init at the
relates more to certificate chains and webs of
trust...things that I'd really rather avoid entirely. A simple signature
check is the initial goal, since I'd still like a working system to fit on a
floppy.

I burned a new copy (this time on a pocket CD-R) and then it booted
Linux, but now it says something about I/O error: end of media on
02:00 several times, then it says something about 03:00 (including
unrecognized CD format or something).

Looks like the user-space tools are setup to require 64-bit file support,
which isn't in the debian c libraries :(
I can't tell if there's a quick-fix or not...

from MS-Word format or similar. Doc-Book is nice, because it can convert to
HTML, PDF, Text, c, I've just never come up to speed on working with it...

On some of my systems, the OS boot goes faster than the BIOS checks...

help dnscache just prints out busybox usage.
Busybox, or the bash shell help usage? Bash has a built-in help command, so
to use the LRP help, you have to use the complete path...
