touch these with a fork until they've aged somewhat. Once burned; twice
shy. Sometimes even the competent folks at gentoo can't cope with

My experience has been that oo is much faster more responsive if you
build it from source. It's a super pain in the butt (10-24 hours plus
3-4gig work space), but in the end it was worth it for me. No I don't
have an SxS; gentoo provides an ebuild.

fascinating.
Gentoo now offers a LiveCD that runs on MAC OSX and utilizes
Mac-on-Linux.
