Some where long ago I saw an atricle that described replacing the pitman
shaft seal:
Remove arm
Remove snap ring
Pry out seal (or, makes a mess, start car and turn steering wheel)
Install new seal - ... reverse prior tasks.
Wrong?

Engine smokes some on hard acceleration.
All 5 glow plugs check good (0.6 Ohm). Fuel mileage is 22 - 24 MPG. 0-100
KPH < 20 sec.
No fuel leaks visible at the primer pump or anywhere else.
Blow-by is normal.
Would a diesel purge help?

Pulled on the shift cable and it does not pull back. Seems to be disengaged

The old transmission leaked bad and it happened when the fluid level went
low that it would not shift up.
This time the fluid level is good. The kick-down cable is adjusted correctly
and the modulator vacuum line is plugged in.
Any ideas what went wrong?

What could be the reason for the ADS light in the dash to stay on?
Fluid level is fine. It all started when the ASA relay went South.
I cannot find a function description or diagnostics procedure in the CD manual.

Does anyone know the electrical specs for the compressor clutch on a '82 300 SD?
I remember a number of 2.5 to 3 A @ 13.5 V (makes it 5.4 to 4.5 Ohm).

riguing is that the metal fuse elements are copper.
This should extend the service life of the fuses considerably since
electrolytic corrosion of the lesser metal (aluminum) will be
eliminated.

Where is a good source to buy these ceramic fuses a'la card.
all i find is "Kits" ([EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED]).
If I need 3ea 25A fuses I have tu buy 3 kits.
