The AC manifold hose in my 83 300 DT is leaking. It was rebuilt once before, so my trusted indy recommended a replacement if I want to fix it. The total bill will be in the neighborhood of $800-900, with parts from Rusty. I don't know if I should proceed this route or cut my emotional tie a

If it's just leaking around the crimp, there's no reason that you couldn't get a new piece of rubber put on your assembly for $20-40 . About the only time that you can't is if the metal part is pitted ( not likely with the car being in that climate all it's life ) or if the previous repair invo
