In order to connect with kppp i have to go into linuxconf and connect and disconnect with the ppp in there then kppp will work fine. Must be doing something wrong. and it doesn't connect in linuxconf i just have to do that to connect in kppp. Sounds strange but that's how it works right now.

Thanks to everyone who helped with my problems. The new netscape *was* on the mirrors. The trick was to look in /pub/updates/Mandrake and NOT /pub/Linux/Mandrake/updates. Also, I finally got it installed, using --nodeps and --force. Neither the Mandrake rpm program nor the KDE rpm program could
