howdy all... I seem to have recently developed a problem in mounting my
cd-burner...
just recently, when I try to mount my cd-burner with:
mount /dev/scd0 /mnt/cdrom

i've used both lilo and grub; grub has many advantages, though an
intuitive understaqnding of their syntax is not necessarily one
of them *g*. one of the best benefits i've discovered is that
with grub as your bootloader it will *safely* overwrite the mbr
on an ntfs system, allowing for dual-boot

default=linux to reflect the label of whatever you decide to make your
default boot option, if in fact this will be different.

I usually try to scan images in XSane, but XSane can't capture any imaging
devices what soever. And when I click the configuration for my scanner, it's
says it's downloading packages to install the driver, but it just kreezes up
( and sometimes crashes KDE)

not capture images. You may have a bad update source defined.
Take a look at the sources in Mandrake ControlCentreSoftwareSoftwareSources
Try replacing your update source with this one .
