[newbie] kdeinit - configuring?

Hi Does anybody know where I go in 9.2 to turn off a kdeinit service? Mine starts a 'laptopdaemon' and I don't have a laptop. I believe it is responsible for making my screen go blank every 60 seconds or so and requiring me to use my password to get back in again. _very_ irritating. :-(
