Hi All,
Had a power failure, and now this:
execve failed for /etc/X11/x (errno2)
giving up
xinit: no such file or directory (errno2) unable to
connect to x server
xinit: no such process (errno3): server
error
Any ideas? I have tried to remove and reinstall
xfree, but it wont budge...
All you guys/girls out there who make their living of fixing M$, a friend is
going to reinstall Windose 2000 on his box. Will he be OK behind a firewall
as he downloads all the patches/updates. Any advice on security would be
welcome.
Thanks,
Simon.
(I am still hoping he will see the light!!)
There was a post recently asking for information about the file tree
structure.
I've just stumbled across the 10.1 documentation on the mirrors and chapter 7
gives a good description of the structure for mandrakelinux
Hope that helps someone.

Hello Keith,
I have a P4P800 ASUS Motherboard. It has a Gigabit Ethernet controller on
board. It really sucked with Mandrake 9.0, Ethernet didn't work correctly,
no sound support. I recently upgraded to Mandrake 10.0 and now everything
works with no problems.

setenv sounds like c-shell. Are you using c-shell?
If you are using bash, which is default in mdk, the use
export MyVar=Myvalue
check with 'set' or 'env'
