If it is failing due to buffer you may not have enough Ram avaialible.
Try using Alt-Ctrl-Delete to close all your running apps except for Nero,
Exlporer, and Systray .

I had this problem too when I first set up my network... My solution was
I had incorrectly typed the IP address in under my TCP/IP properties for my
network card. After I fixed this, I was able to ping perfectly. Hope this

Thanks everyone for the previous advice, PMFirewall sounds like the way to
go! I do have one more question... Since I will be using both Winbloze and
Linux, should I put the PMFirewall on a separate Linux Box and run my
Ethernet connection thru that, then into my other
on 192.168.0.1 is
shut down and then
192.168.0.2 is the lowest IP, and then the original machine starts up and
doesn't know what IP to
take. Try running WinIPCfg on them and see if they are taking similar
enough IPs.

2500 laptop, and it was doing the exact same problem. I was able to fix
mine by using the 3c575_cb driver (comes with kernel) and not using dhcpcd.

some problems... as root, I ran insmod parport with no problems, but when
