Shel,
I've got a pic using the K50/1.2 here:
http://www.spotmatic.com/images/NYE2k002.jpg
It's an old one from Dec 31, 1999 in Paris, on the Champs Elysee around
11pm. Film was Super HG 1600, and a K50/1.2 on an ME Super, manually
metered to 1/30 at f/1.2 in ambient light, hand held and no hood

Sometimes not quite possible due to several considerations:)) To name but
two: budget and flexibility. What if you have to stick to what you already
have, i.e. 35mm?:)

Probably. Especially as for the "wrong lenses". But this situation isn't so
rare as one may think...
Suppose I haven't taken all of my lenses with me because of lack of room for
them. When I go shooting, I usually select my lenses according to my planned
subject... If anything unpredicted happens,
My son is interested in getting a SM body.
Anyone got one for sale with a lens or two?

Well, last night I noticed there were several hundred Mallards in the
marsh down the street. I'll probably see if I can sneak up on them with
an LX, a 400/5.6 K, monopod, and perhaps some Portra 800.

Looks like a concentration on the female form, especially faces, this month.
My personal favorites are marked with **.

Good lighting. This pose shows off her hair nicely.
You also did well keeping the camera level and not losing

I like the shot. Just move all that extra steel out

Hi David,
Thanks for that great description. I dislike lenses that focus beyond
infinity, but that wont stop me from buying the lense.
I think i have to deside if the extra stop and slightly wider view are worth
the extra money.
Thanks
