I would agree with that assessment.
I had the A50/1.4 and the colour was unbelievable. I also had a K85/1.8
and the colour was somewhat more neutral, as is my older SMC Takumar 55/1.8

It's usually grease from the focusing helicoid that has liquified and
run down onto the aperture blades. This is sometimes the result of a
lens being subjected to a lot of heat while stored front-glass-up. It's
common and easily repaired. Good luck with your new lens.

initial tests. It is the only non-Pentax lens I own. I have the same lens

I read frequently about a lens is too heavy for this camera etc. To me, the
camera is a film holder you attach to a lens. I hold the lens (in the case
of longer heavier lens like the Kiron 28-210 or the A 70-210/4 or the
F300/4.5). Getting a camera that adds balance seems like just more weight.
As far as I know it goes like this;
-if the batteries are dead, and the speed is shorter than 1/30 (?) the
mirror will stay up as a "change your batteries" warning.

It works fine with K, A, F, and FA lenses.
With A lenses, the LCD goes into a Program Action or Program Depth of Field

I've come to the conclusion that
None for me please, except for black and white. And then only
sparingly. Extra glass surfaces don't do much for pictures.
When I absolutely must use a filter, I stick to very high
quality, multicoated filters, like Pentax, B+W, Heliopan, Zeiss,
and Nikon. Never more than one filter at a time and
I'm sure they have/can come up with one. What ever you get, make sure it has
an anti-rotation lip on the back. Without the lip, when you go to a vertical
composition with some of the longer lenses (lens without tripod mounts) the
camera body will tend to rotate downward. I use the plates for quick

The Jupiter 85/2 is a copy of the Zeiss 85/2 for Contax...
