Hdmi-to-vga "adapter" actually needs to be a digital -to-analog converter.
But IIRC, some video cards can send an analog signal if they sense a simple
adapter. ... or something like that... I forgot the details. So, even if
your video card can do that , your hdmi

connection would be common for your video card and the monitor.
Dealing with adapters is possible but could be an extra headache.

I've been experimenting with a few things based on the feedback I've got
to my questions.
One thing I see for sure is there is a big discrepancy of how different
browsers treat the colorspace of the images.
I opened one of the photos in 4 different browsers:

Chrome
That got me to think:
In photography, RAW does not clash with "well done", and both can be
tasty at the same time.

And that's a big "selling point".

On my monitor (it was calibrated 2-3 months ago, but I think it is still
in a good shape), - the colors of both images (in the comparison linked
below) look a bit off.
I am not 100% sure what should be tweaked, I think they are slightly
blueish-greenish...

I did suggest a more interesting variation on this theme, but it was not
accepted by Brian:
I appreciated the sequence (proximity) of some of the proposed themes,
so I thought
Audacity on Windows allows to create a "chain", - essentially a script
of actions, and then to apply to a set of files. So, it is a "batch"
conversion.
In my program, I have a chain MP3 Conversion (it may have come with the
program, or maybe I've created it). It contains 3 lines:
