I feel no shame in keeping everything that turned out well, but I
would never show everything that I kept.
In keeping everything, I am able to set arbitrary rules, such as not
showing more than a dozen or so images,
well, I guess if we're only talking about how to determine what to
show, I find that telling myself folks don't want to see more than a
dozen images or so, usually makes the good ones float to the top.
Sometimes I also use time as a limiting factor - I once shot for 8
hours so figured I could show
part.

I just tried to do a 3-second exposure and something in my camera went
whirrr-thunka-thunka-thunka... pretty sure that's never happened
before. (both with and without image stabilization)
By the way, I have a spare camera, it's just not a k10D is all... poor
little *istD, that's not its fault. :(

we use a Solis. Possibly the solis maestro but I wouldn't swear to it.
Ours is only about 8 or 9 years old though, so I'm not sure it's any
more reliable than yours. We also have various little hand crank
jobbies, that's nice and quiet for you.

That exact thing happened to mine last year, just once though. Taking
out all batteries including the one screwed into the bottom of the
camera, for several hours, fixed it.
It does periodically freeze, however (I can tell it's on but I can't
affect the camera in any way). By periodically I mean
aw, darn it. I was learning a lot more here than I was at that stupid
guess a k10D feature thread.
