He He - sounds almost as bad as the control panel for my microsoft wireless
mouse -
I can select the Wireless Tab and currently see:
Battery Status - Wireless mouse battery level: Good
Signal Quality - Wireless mouse signal quality: High
Which is pretty amazing really because there are no
Hi Sev,
Yes, a strange inconsistency from ABC. I generally listen to Classic FM on
the steam radio but sometimes make use of the fact that the internet stream
runs on EST to take advantage of the 2hr difference if I prefer the program!
My other half likes to listen to radio national - and we
Well,
Google Sketch-up is 3D and free - I haven't used it yet though so can't

Hi Reg,
It might help to know your reason/requirement.
If it's just to be able to view with one open double-click then, as you
say, Preview will open them as a batch and you can cycle through them -
similarly slide-shows etc - but you say you don't want to do that.

Hi Sev,
I'm currently mulling this one over also. It may also depend on whether you
have firewire 800 or only (as me) 400.
I hear support for firewire as technically better for moving data, but I see

His point, I think, was that if a PC with XP can display the word files
(with embedded CMYK) correctly, surely there should be a way to make his Mac
do this also! - Perhaps some plug-in or add-on.

Hi all,
I'm sure I'm just missing something simple here but after viewing some
slideshows online I wanted to save one.
I identified the link to the source .swf file - in this case:

If I go to this address the slideshow opens
Hi all,
I've finally gone broadband (Internode 1500 power10) and now I'm
re-examining my firewall set-up. At present I have the Mac OSX firewall
turned on on both computers connected to the net (G5 iMac G4 iMac).
However, I now connect to broadband via a BiPAC 7402VGP: VoIP/802.11g ADSL
Router
Once a week I update a number of spreadsheets which I have filed in various
folders.
After reading about smart folders I thought that this could save me some
time navigating through the various folders.
So.
For the documents in question (well 3 of them as a trial), I opened their
