Well also have an exclusive report on Lincolnshire Fire Brigades latest scheme to install sprinkler systems in homes in order to help reduce the number of house fires. Plus Ill be speaking to Karl Bushbys dad, Keith. Karl is currently trying to undertake a world record attempt to walk around the world, but was recently deported from Russia after apparently entering the country at an area that wasnt a registered check point. Keith Bushby is helping his son to appeal against this decision by the Russian authorities and Ill have the latest on this tonight. Ill be speaking to the Castaway star and BBC presenter, Ben Fogle tonight as hes in Lincoln today for a book signing of his new autobiography! And for all of the Apprentice fans, tonight Ill have a sneak preview of tonights show. Michelle Dewberry from Hull is still in the running and Im sure you will have picked your favourite contestant by now for that amazing six figure salary and the chance to work with the entrepreneur, Sir Alan Sugar. Also tonight, if youre a Lisa Gallagher fan, then Lisa will have the forecast! I hope you can join me tonight on BBC1. According to the weather forecasters, it will be staying there for at least another month. Over the next four weeks, temperatures will struggle to reach a nippy 12 Celsius. Frustratingly for gardeners, the cool weather will not be bringing rain. This week the hose pipe bans across many parts of the country will continue. So, I dont know if summer is ever going to get here. Well have to check that one out with Lisa when we speak to her a little bit later on. Melvyn Bragg The writer and television presenter, Melvyn Bragg, has got a book out at the moment. Its about the twelve books that changed the world. You might have seen the programme the other night, where he was talking about William Wilberforce. Well, I just want to say that Melvyn Bragg will be talking to us on Look North on Thursday on the programme. So if youre interested in that subject, then watch out for the programme on Thursday. Of course, they all knew that Im a fan of the programme. And indeed I did know that! The Royal has been great, but when The Royal isnt on, then Heartbeat is! Again, there are great pictures and music from the sixties and theres so much attention to detail as well. Its good to watch the background as well to try and see if you can catch them out! But you never can. The cars are always genuine! So Heartbeat is back on Sunday evenings. If youre a fan of the programme, then enjoy. And I know that several people have asked if we could get Jonathan Kerrigan on the programme. Well, Jonathan is from Lincoln and is such a busy guy, with all the work that he does that we havent had a chance to get him into the studio yet. But of course, we will get him here in the end. Second Homes As you know, with people these days, its the in-thing to have the ownership of a second home. Its soared to record levels with most people having second homes, of course, in the Dales and around the Yorkshire countryside. However, the top five places for second homes, would you believe, is the city of London as number one, the Isles of Scilly at number two, South Hams near Plymouth in Devon is at number three, north Norfolk comes in at number four and north Cornwall is at number five! Grandstand After forty-eight years, as youve probably read, Grandstand, the sport show, is to be axed. Saturday afternoon may never be the same again after the BBC revealed that its actually axing Grandstand, which is the longest running sports programme in television history. The show, which made household names out of people such as Frank Bough, Des Lynam and David Coleman, is being ditched after almost half a century on air as part of changes to the coverage of sport. The papers are all reporting that story and several people have emailed into me on the same subject. Well, that's it from me for today.
