I think you may be right. Take a listen on 40 metres. OHR is on almost every

you may be able to pick it up and compare. It’s quite obvious when you hear it
and see it on a waterfall/scope.

This is not a difficult problem to solve. First off, the MacBook Air is
_not_ a netbook. Netbooks are defined by their low-power processors (typically
Intel Atoms). The MacBook Air has a full multi-core Intel I5 processor, which
means it can do real work.
The best way to approach this is to lo
Although Raspberry Pi is indeed a Linux system, the cpu is not Intel so any of
the software that is available for
Linux must be built from sources on the Raspberry Pi system (unless it is
provided by rPI's distro).

The "Mac Air" is a laptop. properly known as a MacBook Air. It's the
'netbook' variant of the laptops.
As Far as I know, there is no way to use the internal display of a MacBook
to display anything other than the OS or an application. That applies to
anything with a display in it that Apple makes
I don't know what a MacAir is, I've pretty much managed to avoid the
iWorld. I can tell you about the Raspberry Pi [and others] however.
Raspberry Pi [and Beagle Bone, and several others] are tiny little
processor boards with weird names that run some flavor of LINUX, and
thus will run LINUX-

Hi Jim,
I have a K3 that developed a similar problem:
My K3 was build by Elecraft in 2011 with the only extras added by myself
later being the KXV3A transverter interface, some CW filter and the KDVR3
voice recorder. I have been using it perhaps once or twice each month only
as IF unit for a 2 m X
I've never needed to revert to a backup either (touch wood), but it is still
good practice to back up your config when upgrading. After all, you already
have the utility open when upgrading, so how hard it is to hit "Save Config"?
This ensures you have a reasonably up-to-date config saved, and i
What backup? :-) The Elecraft firmware upgrades go so smoothly that I
have never needed them.
Of course, a save of the configuration data before an update is prudent
just in case anything goes awry and an EEINIT is required, but that has
not been my experience. All updates including a lot of be
And of course you took a backup when you upgraded (right?), so you can very
easily revert to a known good configuration in case of fat finger syndrome :-)

Bob,
But in that event, a quick post to the Elecraft reflector will likely
set you straight in a short time - often even in minutes.
