RE: [arr] Khili re... an Ultimate melody...
Actually, this mail reminds me of my colleague's kid, who shouted on me wen i was playing Omana penne ( from vtv). His words were I Hate this song... My first reaction was - i turned red in anger. but the more i thought about it, the more i understood the reason. He is a small kid. His tastes arent developed enough to catch the melody or emotions behind the song... It made me remember another incidence which happened around 16 years ago. With child like enthusiasm, i made to my grand mother to hear the song Chandralekha- (Thiruda-Thiruda/ Chor-Chor)... and as I was enjoying the song, she said.. Its more of a noise. good for children. I was really disappointed but now i understand the reason behind it. It was not of her genre(Obvsly). But as I wanted to share so, I wanted her to love the song too... funny! Though both the songs are Example of CLASS in themselves but they were rejected by some people. and the simple logic behind it is that its not of their taste or genre... Does it make the songs bad??? The songs continue to inspire so many souls. For me, ARR is a source of energy which keeps emitting through music. Sometimes(most of the times) it matches with our frequency and we love that bit of energy(music). But sometimes it could be out of our bandwidth. Not for us... but some other soul may catch it and find it absolute bliss. The whole logic is: if u love it, enjoy it and if it doesnt inspire you, its not for u... but for somebody else around. Let him enjoy... Musicians are like sea divers. @ every dive, sometimes they find pears, sometimes other sea shells and stuff...Enjoy the art... Dnt try to force things and life would be a bliss... and Taimur Bhai, I really wonder If u actually read the blog post while listening to the song... I wonder how come u escaped the magic of Flute, interludes and other tiny miny beauties of the song... ~ Love Music Love Life Neetika To: arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com From: gomtesh.upad...@gmail.com Date: Mon, 10 May 2010 15:17:43 +0530 Subject: Re: [arr] Khili re... an Ultimate melody... To tell the truth, when I first heard the songs, I did like the album for the overall presentation. However, as the songs kept playing in my cd player, I noticed that there was something extra special about this album. The more I listened to it, the more I'm engrossed with it. And the more I'm engrossed with it, the more I'm unwilling to part from it. In fact, I happen to come across a mail written by our fellow friend who claimed that he now takes a longer route back home in order to have some time alone with the soundtracks. The moment I read it, I just couldn't help but smile...because that's exactly how I felt when listening to the album myself...to spend some time alone with the album and to uncover the truth of what's making it so spellbinding! The followings are merely my thoughts on my new-found friendship with VTV. I'm not a professional commentator nor do I have a profound knowledge as far as music is concerned, thus kindly pardon me if there's any inaccuracy or mistake in the expressions and words used below. 1. Omana Penne Omana Penne starts on a blissful tune coupled with the soothing voice of Benny Dayal. I've always preferred Benny in soft melodies rather than in fast beats or folk numbers. And as expected, Benny has done a wonderful job here. The first saranam was given an under-water-singing effect which reminds me of Blue , nevertheless the similarities ends there. The Kerala portion on the other hand, has a heavenly rhythm which leaves you asking for more. It's always a privilege to hear ARR's usage of ethnic music, even if it's only for a few seconds and he has done an excellent job here as well. And needless to say, Kalyani Menon was the perfect choice for this. On a further note, the nadaswaram used throughout the song was just mind blowing. Initially I had my doubts if the real nadaswaram was used for this particular number nevertheless clarifications given by fellow friends and a quick check with ARR's official website cleared my doubts. Kudos to ARR and Natarajan for churning out an essentially ethnic and yet modern tune. Omana Penne is definitely here to stay! 2. Anbil Avan The techno sound at the prelude seems to have traces of Santhipoma of Enaku 20 Unaku 18. To tell the truth, I didn't find this song to be particularly astounding at first. However, repeated hearing has made me to change my mind. Trust me, this song is highly addictive. Devan did a great job, needless to say. I couldn't think of any other singer who would have given the song the same level of energy that Devan accomplishes. Nevertheless, I must say that Chinmayi was a revelation. I've always had difficulties identifying Chinmayi's voice as she has the talent of modulating her voice texture and style according to the mood of each and every song of hers. While she was soulful in Oru Deivam (Kannathil Muthammittal) and angelic in En Uyir Thozhiye (Kangalal Kaithu Sei), here she seems to present a western-based singing. In fact, when I heard this song for the first time, I had mistaken Chinmayi's voice to Vasundhara Das'. A check on the credits revealed the truth. She sounds amazing! Coming back to the music arrangements, ARR has again surprised everyone with his choice of genre for a song such as this. The song basically expresses the lovers' dreams of their marriage. While most would have settled for a melody for such a situation, ARR decided to grant a peppy, foot-tapping number. And what an apposite choice that was. He effectively brought out the

well, am quite amazed bro, to see ur mail. U actually said the exact words which were there on my mind. and i was wondering y noone is talking about omana penne. Yesterday i actually took the longer route than normal so that i can be alone with the song.. :) Its the wonder of ARR who made that the beauty of Nadhaswaram and Carnatic music to cross the borders of South Indian states and then Indian boundiaries.. now ruling hearts all over. (some wat the same feeling i got when i heard Azhagiye Cindrela from KKS).. and den the magic just never lets me come out of it. As u said, nad , Kalyani's part, voice modulation , everything is just perfect... And the notations with which the song ends, it forces me to hear the song again and again. I am completely captivtated by it. Benny has done a great job but somehow i wish to hear the song in ARR's voice. Somehow it makes me feel that this song has ARR written all over it... Aromale is staring right in my eye as am typing this mail. It would be bad if i wont mention it. Its an International level composition. Kudos to Alphonse and the guitar player. VTV is another feather in ARR's cap. I hope it reaches people at every corner of the world (BTW - Omana penne means - Calling a girl with love.. SO ordinary tunes again . the presentations of the songs is mind blowing but the tunes are not to much say about very simple and sweetness is missing. my pick of the album is OMANA PENNE. the sound of the song is magnificent, the music is brilliant , the tune although ordinary but what i like is the mix of carnatic essence MY GOODNESS its so soothing to the ears. the kalyani menon part and nathaswaram IS WOW WOW WOW. both have been digitally modulated which makes it very strange, extraordinary but so so sweet which is what i like about A R RAHMAN music.and can anyone tell what doeS OMANA PENNE means. but i must say A R RAHMAN has taken his time to prepare the album . VTV music has its own dimension Its own sound very new stuff. WHICH atleast i do admire.VTV surely will have its distinct status in A R RAHMAN tamil works. and guys i think VTV music needs time to absorb its quiet ahead of its time. regards, taimur, karachi, PAKISTAN. -- Click for exclusive coverage on the New Bajaj Pulsar 220 the fastest Indian bike http://www.zigwheels.com/Features/Bajaj-Pulsar-220-DTSi-Special-Coverage/Pulsar_20090623-1-1

Far too often you get a CD with songs that weren't even in the movie while skipping some of the best songs that were actually used. The Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack, with its mix of mostly upbeat instrumentals and vocals, is that rare exception. If you don't want to move to this music then check your pulse. O...Saya and Jai Ho, the former shown at the beginning of the movie, the latter at the end while the credits ran along with the Bollywood homage, are perfect party songs you'll want to listen to again and again. The ominous sound of Riots will remind you of the murder of the brothers' mother. Dreams on Fire and Latika's Theme are both a little sad and romantic. Millionaire is just inspiring and will remind you of the movie's climax. And you get not just one, but two versions of Paper Planes. I didn't think this was possible, but the Slumdog soundtrack surpasses even Bend It Like Beckham. If you liked that soundtrack, you definitely want to check this one out. _--_Riveting, pulse pumping soundtrack!, January 17, 2009 By Joel Katte BASEBALL MEMOIR COMING SOON! from... (Home of the Milwaukee Brewers) - See all my reviews Okay, please have mercy on this review. I am no music expert; I wouldn't even call myself a music fan. I don't own an ipod, and if I had to shop for music right now, I would likely buy the first best-of-the-80's-one-hit-wonders CDs that I find. So the fact that I am attempting (again, go easy on me, it is a novice attempt) to write a music review is a credit to this compelling soundtrack. This soundtrack is fresh, original, and soulful. This film is an absolute knock-out, in part because the soundtrack complements the action, characters, and emotion of the film so well. However, as great of a film as it is (I do believe it will walk away with the Best Picture Oscar) the soundtrack is even better than the film. SIDENOTE: The music video at the end of the film seemed completely out of place, and I would have opted for it to not be there. However, I watched ever second of it and was captivated. I believe this was the director's way of paying homage to the music and spirit of the film. -- Wow! If this doesn't win the Oscar for Best Soundtrack..., January 31, 2009 By Bruce D. Namerow (Washington, DC) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME) After reading the other reviews, I realize that this music style may not be new in other parts of the worlds, but here in the US it is groundbreaking and refreshing -- a whole new beat that isn't common to American ears. Even then, the way this album has a whole weaves together such an interesting mix of rhythms makes it stand out from most any album I've ever heard. It's rare to see an album get so many positive five star reviews -- there is a reason for that. You need to hear it for yourself to fully understand (and see the movie to understand even more). -- Oh my!, January 24, 2009 By Robert Hengst (Austin, Texas) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME) I have been a closet fan of Bollywood music for a long time. While I knew little of Rahman and nothing of the movie, I bought the CD just to see what the current state of Bollywood music is. Oh my! What I got is so much more. There are elements I expected, but the layering of sounds and rhythms is incredible. Just when you think you have the tune or rhythm, Rahman layers on another instrument, beat, rhythm, etc. I have since read that Rahman is considered one of the most beloved composers in India. With this work I would say that designation no longer applies: Rahman should be recognized as one of the most beloved composers WORLDWIDE. Amazing score that leaves you wanting for more from this brilliant artist. -- Completely different and fabulous, January 23, 2009 By Karen Perry Slumdog's #1 Fan (San Diego, CA) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME) When I went to go see the movie I instantly wanted to buy the soundtrack. Genda Phool, reminds me of my childhood.. First of all the sound at background in beginning (Heyy) Frankly speaking, this sound reminds me of a Balloon selling haker who used to come every morning during my summer vacation!!! lolz...Almost a decade has passed since i heard that sound!!! I guess, i have heard this kind of lyrics.. The words Genda Phool takes me back to meromry lane..I havent heard UP/ Bihar follk much in my life...(I have grownup hearing Dogri/ Punjabi folk)...but still the words Genda Phool rings some bell... The Tune might be traditional too!!! But the way it has been treated...Choosing rekha Bhardwaj to sing, then the mixing...Its just awesome.. I have been hearing this song on loop..It has the flavour of folk fused superbly!!! I just wonder how ARR got an idea bout the background sound of the man shouting HE. Thanks for sharing! ~love music love life Neetika raina To: arrahmanf...@yahoogroups.comfrom: vith...@gmail.comdate: Wed, 21 Jan 2009 09:53:39 +0530Subject: [arr] Vintage Rahman was back Its a long one, I must warn!It was love at first beat on a sultry afternoon in Trivandrum. I was ten and training for a cultural fest appa's office organized for the employees' families annually. We were a group of unruly kids, with two left feet, shaking our booties to 'chikubuku rail eh'; we were literally marring any attempts the racy number and a sexier Gautami had stirred in the youth that summer. For us it meant aping prabhu deva, yelling the lyrics as we disco-ed and understanding a phenomenon that would grow faster than we did – A R Rahman.Roja was my first tamil movie in a theatre and it was not until years later that I realized the essence of the movie and its lovely direction. To me, it was my first audio cassette and the treasure of songs it contained. I clearly remember getting Goosebumps listening to 'tamizha tamizha' and the kindle of patriotism that the music created back then. I had clearly turned a fan and Rahman was too good to be true. The elderly were quick to counter the Rahman fever shunning him as another passing cloud of different music genre. Every time, I'd hear someone say that, my heart would sink and I would secretly wish Rahman would never falter; he would never let us down. And I had been right. The little shelf beside my study table grew consistently with cassettes rendered by the maestro, songs I would listen to until I'd know every word by heart and every tune like a rhyme. This had included some coldly received and quick to vanish albums like super police, one 2 ka four, Udaya and Gangmaster; I was unmoved. His music was one that grew on you. But, then he would always come back and sweep you off yet again; He would render heart wrenching, foot tapping and mind blowing music; Indra, Bombay,Duet, Rangeela, Kadal Desam, Kadhalan, Indian, padayappa, Jeans, Sapney.. It was the era he had been unstoppable. It was the time when teasers on TV literally were teasers and I would have to wait until the cassette became available at the then huge store 'sangeet sagar' in the center of a busy secundarabad. I would impatiently wait for appa to return from work with the new cassette and finish up my exams, so that I could play the songs on my little sony player in the labyrinth of my room. It was a time of bliss and an extended love affair with the music and the maker of it.By the time, I had submitted myself to wonders like alaipayuthe, Lagaan, Boys, yuva, taal.. he had continued to amaze. But I had grown over childish love. I was judgmental. I would pick tunes that sounded like old numbers. I had found other quarters to share the warmth. A shelf that only held Rahman's collections now harbored others. There were many making music in his adopted style and may be even catching up. Yet Rahman sold; but now he sold as the brand ambassador, of (a)typical styles, consistent deliverance and artful recycling; Baba, Boys, New, kisna, Meenaksi, Enakku 20 Unakku 18, Varalaru, kadal virus. He did win me over many times; But now I would be hooked to certain songs in the album; I had lost patience to let the whole thing grow on me phase. Our relationship was stale now. I knew how much to love and how much to let go. I was almost beginning to accept that he was as human as us all. He had made some noise with Rang De basanti, ATM, shivaji. It was now all about, listening to most of the album and letting go of not even worth 'grow-able' on you ones like the 'uru koodai sunlight' or some of the extra saccharine ones of Jodha Akbar. Amidst this sea of transformation, I had never given up. Not once. I would always ensure, I do a run of the songs and a second time and then pick the best. I'd say its Rahman after all. When Slumdog millionare had come by, I loved it. I knew Rahman has done better, but this was totally worth the recognition he got now; for all these years of hard work And when the golden globes were bestowed upon this modest shy person, I could not have been happier; for he deserved every bit of it.But last week, a vintage Rahman was back; the one who had swooned Roja and Bombay into us. He had struck a heavy chord with Delhi6. Every song a true love, emanating innovation and variety, I sure turned into the ten year old again. I felt he had his heart and mind at the same place when he made this music. My cousin remarked that the album was her suprabatam these days. It only made me smile to wonder how much ARR had turned into a household name and we didn't even realize it.I cannot say Rahman is timeless or applaud him as the Mozart. For, I am just the addict, who has been picking up pieces of the aftershocks he leaves behind. inked by Divya Das http://divyadurgadas.blogspot.com

I knw dis post is very lengthy ...sorry for dat http://armozdream. blogspot. com/ THANK YOU SO MUCH A tiny soul wandering around forests, restless from the remembrance of previous birth's unpleasant memories. There were a lot of issues which had to be settled, lots of promises which had to be fulfilled... Saw a beautiful place surrounded by mountains, fresh air, fresh water, divine ambience and thought of taking birth to a beautiful and caring couple and that is how I was born... I was born at the extreme end of country India .There is a beautiful city called as Jammuâ. Before I could learn any means of communication, I developed a sense towards sounds. Sounds which have some special quality in them, which gave them a pride of being called as Music... U can say that I had some special affinity towards music as the first words which came out of my mouth were some Punjabi folk song which i used to hear a lot in my early age. It totally amazed my dad, who nearly jumped seeing his daughter uttering some words... And after few years, it was the sound of Aazan (Namaz) in Ptv which caught my ears. Though I too small to understand the meaning of religion or religious prayers or even to understand the words of that divine prayer but i was crazy for that. I used to fight with my parents to switch Ptv at right time every day. That caused a reason of worry in my Hindu Brahmin family. A doubt occurred to them fearing if its some last birth effect or some kind of influence of Ptv but after few years, all the doubts were cleared... I was nearly 9 years old watching my favorite show Surabhi on doordarshan. They were talking about a guy Rahman who is very young but has created a rage in music industry and then they played a Tamil song Chinna Chinna Aasai Though the interview with that guy was in English (that time an alien language for me) but the lines Chinna Chinna aasai infected my nervous system somehow. Later, after few months the same Tamil film Roja got released in Hindi. I jumped listening to Dil hi chota sa. That was the time when a new phase in my life started. My next encounter with ARR was with the movie Bombay. The songKuchi Kuchi Rakma was the pick of my ears. May b it was the simple Dholak sound or the innocent voice of GV Prakash which caught my kiddy ears(but later found out the complexity of the song, how Persian sound is fused with folk composition) .Those days my ears were not matured enough to understand the melody of Tu Hi Re... or Bombay Theme. It was few months later, when i accidently forgot to press the stop button of my cassette player after the song Hama Hama and the sound of Tu hi re filled the room. My heart skipped a beat, all of a sudden i developed a new emotion. There started a new journey, suddenly as if i understood the meaning of art. I could relate pain with the sound of Bombay theme and den soon i started to ignore other songs for these 2 tracks. It really sounds funny now. Then ARR gave his first Hindi album Rangeela. The songs became like my morning, afternoon and evening prayers. Within a week i by hearted the lyrics, tune orchestraization and the mysterious sounds which ARR always embeds in his songs. The were so many movies which did not make much sound in bollywood but I

Re: [arr] Re: Loudness issue in ARR songs
Krish Bro, I completely agree with you...This loudness is sometimes very irritating. My fav song In Lamhon ke daman mein (JA)...when the chorus hits the peak, its a torture to hear wid high volume.. I love dis song so much..but its a pain to decrease the volume everytime wen the chorus part comes.. ARR is the one who introduced Quality sound to Indians... I think its the fault of music companies :( :( Whoever is responsile for this mistake should take care of this issue next time.. as its a very serios problem arising from past few releases!!! ARR tracks are gems...should be taken extra care while handling!!! ~Love Music Love Life Neetika Raina - Original Message - From: Sreekrishnan R [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com Sent: Wednesday, October 22, 2008 12:48:23 PM GMT +05:30 Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi Subject: Re: [arr] Re: Tutu's Take- Indiafm Review of Yuvraaj am I the only one disappointed by the increasing trend in recent ARR albums to be loud? No.. I'm also here.. All the songs of ARR's recent Albums are touching the Peak level in the Sound Forge as well as Nuendo Softwares though it is not jarring or causing any distortion. I was thinking about it when I heard the Sakkarakatti Songs in Sound Forge. Thought it happened because AR's songs were missing H. Shridhar Sir in the crew. But in Yuvvraaj he's credted and he has done the entire Mixing and Mastering (with Sivakumar Sir). Still all the songs hit the Peak level. I think this is bit a serious issue on a Sound Engineer's point of view. Because AR's each and every song is like a reference book for a Sound Engineer.. I learned and am learning a lot of things by analysing his old and latest mixes. I think some kind of magic is missing in the mixes of some songs. I said before that this is just a Sound Engineer's point of view. Apart from these kind of some minute things , his songs are real real gems for the audience. full satisfaction guaranteed ! I always believe that one could not enjoy his songs if he keeps on looking and digging out such small small things. But professionally we've to admit this. Obviously we all react differently or else this would be a boring place. Reading Joginder Tuteja's review it looks like he is less than impressed because he finds some of the tracks very situational and he was expecting something bigger. Because I come from a small village of Haryana (Rajasthan border), I understand almost everything conveyed in the song and I hope that will solve all the confusion. Here we go: First of all understand this; when a girl is going to be married in the village, she goes through a process of rituals. Before few days of the marriage day almost everyday women from village come to her house and sing folk songs. Also, during this process she does not stop her day to day activities and keeps doing household work; even on the day of marriage. She only stops doing her normal activities when its time to get ready for the marriage. Now while singing the first stanza of Chalka Chalka Re, she is just mentioning the fact that just a while ago she was doing her normal work and now she suddenly had to get changed and get married (7 phere) and go to her husband's house. She is emotional and says the lines like 'Choolha main jalaati rah gayi' means she was in middle of process of lighting the fire and they asked her to get ready and leave all that work. Now Stanza 1 line by line: Poley poley pairon se chali (I walked very elegantly, means she put less pressure on her feet while walking, for example when we walk on a wet Flor trying to not make it dirty) Babul teri chhoti thi gali (Father, your street was narrow. She is giving the reason of first line now, why she walked elegantly) Geetey mere peechhay rah gaye (I don't understand what 'Geetey' is. Whatever it is, she left them behind. She is sad that she had leave them behind) Paathiyon ke neechey rah gaye (She says she left them [Geetey] below the pile or stack of 'Paathi'. Now Paathi, as far as I understand, is 'Gobar ke oople'. See how they let the waste of cows and buffaloes get dried, and then they burn it for gas in the villages) Gaiyya meri pyaasi rah gayi (She had to leave her cow thirsty. Because she had to hurry and get ready because 'Baaraat' was about to arrive.) Tulsi waali paati rah gayi (All of you were confusing the word 'Paati'; its not 'vaadee'. Paati means leaf. Either she could not pluck the Tulasi leaves [to worship god] or she did not have time to use the Tulasi leaves she had already plucked to use in Pooja) Choolha main jalaati rah gayi (She was in process of lighting the fire, and then she had to leave it and rush to get ready). I hope it solves a lot of confusion. I also hope that it confirms how deep is the knowledge of Gulzar Saab about the subject he is writing about. Guys, none of his lyrics are meaningless, its only that we don't know them well. He writes gems not songs. There is a guy in my office, he happened to listen this song Tu hi to meri dost hai in my ipod...and now he is addicted to this song...yesterday, the whole day he didnt return my ipod ..kept on listening to the song and humming it (well his humming was a punishment for our ears)..Finally in evening i had to beg for my ipod back!!! He is basically a kannadiga(From Karnataka) its for the first time he has liked a hindi song to such an extend... My first opinion was 'Zindagi' but as we all know, opinions do change when you listen ARR's album again and again. The variety of instruments used, ups and down of tunes, everything makes this song legendary. But the most legendary thing about 'Mastam' is Sonu Nigam's voice. And the lines where they sing... 'Mamla badhega, kachahari lagegi, muqadama chalega' O my god, i feel blessed when I hear that part. This song surely is the trademark Rahman song. I think there should officially be a genre called 'Rahmanish song'. Trust ARR to know what I myself never knew about my liking. I think ARR has never given any song like this, trusting on the rhying words to create a melody of their own. Old timers in the group must be knowing that such usage were the norms in 50s - yes, half a century ago. Almost every was using it then but it was Chitalkar/ C Ramchandra who had given some of the best songs having rhyming words with slight music creating wonderful listening experience. Listen to his Mombasa, etc. to get the feel of it. At that time there were no special effects, no recording facilities, so MDs had to rely on the great melodious tunes and/ or on the rhyming words. And trust ARR to revive that trend right here after 50-60 years, when all the special effects, loops, great recording facilities are available to him, yet he brings wonders to the fore with rhyming simple words. Mind you, I am not saying that ARR copied any song of 50s. :-) Before this song, I think that the nearest ARR had come to create a rhthm with words was in Bombay's Kahna hi Kya's background ground, in Dil Se's Diya Jale's Malayalam Chorus and in Jeans' Kehna Hi Kya's classical part, and we can see how different Mastam is from these three songs. Please do mention other songs in which ARR had brought out music by using rhyming words. Other songs are also good, Zindagi, Manmohini, muskura, etc. but ARR has given similar genre of songs earlier many times. Of course no copy. So, though these ones also sound good in hearing, the novelty is not there. So, I dare say that Mastam is the find of album as it shows a new genre of creation by our man who has revived a half a century old, now forgotten, trend with this song. :-) -- V -- Hyundai to launch the i20 in India. Well, brother i cudnt stop myself replying.. the lines u have said gaeyaa meree pyaasee rah gayee tulasee vaalee vaadee rah gayee chuulhaa main jalaatee rah gayee In villages, still girl is the one who takes care of the house .. At the time of marriage, when she is supposed to leave the house, she is not able to bear the separation..and she is saying.. wat will happen to the cow to whom i used to serve water and food.. i used light a lamp near Tulasi..if im not there i hope it sud not be left in dark...and after she is gone..who will cook there... she is kinda missing all these acts and her responsibilities towards her house. It has a flavour of village..and usually in northindian marriages we do sing these kinda songs(folk songs) Though i agree with you that the line Chalka Chalka re doesnt have thump of words like Yaro Yarodi.. Even i personally like Tamil Version more than Hindi version..coz of the naughtiness and flavour..but we cant say that Hindi lyrics were bad.. Tamil Lyrics --- Friends of the bride teasing her on occasion of her marriage ..so it makes it more peppy in singing style.. Hindi Lyrics --- Expression of sad emotions of bride who is going to leave parents house but still excited and looking forward towards new life.. Flavour is little different brother!! I don't even understand tamil and I prefer listening to Yaro Yarodi than listening to the Chalka chalka one because it makes no damn sense. Better to listen to something that you don't understand than listen to something that makes no sense. I'm nobody to doubt Gulzars lyrics, but honestly Javed Akthar write simple yet elegant lyrics, and to the point. Gulzar write these metaphors that only he can understand. Like i mentioned gulzars lyrix are fancy because the plugs in hindi/urdu/farsi words. Since most people dont' understand it they think it must be class. Also, did you know that Chaiya chiaya from dilse is actually a punjabi folk song with punjabi lyrics. Alot of people said rahman copied the music, but in reality they were talking about the lyrics. Gulzar simply turned the punjabi lyrics into hindi/ urdu lyrics. I think most people would agree that best Hindi lyrical quality for RAhman comes from Javed Akthr and then Prasson Joshi and then maybe Mehboob. Every time Rahman teams up with Gulzar, I'm hesitant and I hope he does a good job. Tere bina in Guru was reaaly realy good, but what about barso re, yammo, does it make sense? [arr]My message for ARR
This posting is my story, my journey with ARR.. I just wish to tell him once, how much influenced i am by him and how much impact ARR has in every big decision of my Life... I want to thank him with this post. I knw dis post is very lengthy ...sorry for dat http://armozdream.blogspot.com/ THANK YOU SO MUCH A tiny soul wandering around forests, restless from the remembrance of previous birth's unpleasant memories. There were a lot of issues which had to be settled, lots of promises which had to be fulfilled... Saw a beautiful place surrounded by mountains, fresh air, fresh water, divine ambience and thought of taking birth to a beautiful and caring couple and that is how I was born... I was born at the extreme end of country India .There is a beautiful city called as Jammu”. May b it was the simple Dholak sound or the innocent voice of GV Prakash which caught my kiddy ears(but later found out the complexity of the song, how Persian sound is fused with folk composition). Those days my ears were not matured enough to understand the melody of Tu Hi Re... or Bombay Theme. The were so many movies which did not make much sound in bollywood but I was lucky to get a hand over the cassettes like Priyanka ( Indira), Chor Chor(Thiruda thiruda),Vishwa Vidhata (Pudhiya Mugham), Kabhi na kabhi. I had no idea how those songs were getting dissolved in my blood. There was some other music also which caught my ear like Enigma, sound of Colonial cousins, Shankar Mahadevan's breathless etc but it was ARR who became an inseparable part of my life. I was a loner from my childhood, lost in my own world. I had created a world of ARR around me. His pictures at the 4 sides of the wall of my room. More than 75 pictures. I used to keep an eye on magazines. Actually one of my cousins used to get cuttings of ARR interviews for me from various magazines. I used to read about his Tamil music in interviews. Tried a lot but never got any Tamil album in Jammu. Then, after my 10th standard exam i got an opportunity to visit Bangalore My First Trip to South India. There i bought all the Tamil songs of ARR. There were about 20 cassettes ..Pudhiya Mugham,Gentleman,Muthu,Padayappa,Kadhal Desam,MayMaatham,Kaaruthamma,Kadhalan, Duet, Indira, Iruvar, Kizhaakku Cheemayile,Uzhavanetc. They started bringing changes in me.Sitting on the terrace of my sister's hostel(ie in Chitradurga)...staring at the coconut trees (We dnt have coconut trees in jammu), listening to the songs like Thirakatta, enswasa kartrae . It was a memorable time of my life. I have no

U mentioned about some members here, yes they were posting interesting topics in the last some months. Hope they will come back. Re: [arr] Sakkarakatti review 3
About Chinnama song: . Benny sings very similar to Udit, the singer of the original Chinnamma. But Benny beats udit with his proper Tamil pronounciation. Rahman has scored half a dozen bright and colorful songs for this ‘Shanthanu’ starrer. 1. Taxi Taxi* Singers: Benny Dayal, Blaaze, Viviane Chaix and Javed Ali Lyrics: Blaaze, Na Muthukumar, Viviane Chaix Basically a friendship song like Mustafa, full of Blaaze’s Rap interludes, Vivian’s ooh laas and french chants. The rhythm of this song is pretty ordinary but the vocals and other additions take it to the next level. This song gives us the feel of a ‘Bollywood’ number. Lyrics bringout this ‘ipod’ age’s friends and their relationships with a bit of slapstick humour. Pals dont miss this! 2. Marudhani Singers: Madhushree, A R Rahman, Henry Lyrics : Vaali Probably a heroine solo melody, with soft beats and chorus. Pleasant interludes and Rahman’s hummings complete this soft but quick number. This is the only song which contains ARR’s voice in this album. Dynamic Vaali’s lyrics are spoiled by Madhushree’s poor Tamil accent. So a kind request to Madhushree:’Please find a good tamil teacher before commiting your next Tamil song’. 3. I Miss You Da* Singers: Chinmayi, Indai Haza Lyrics : Na Muthukumar Another solo female song in which ARR has experimented with converting different ordinary sounds into one sweet melody. Appears to be a fusion of pop music and dubstep genre. Chinmayi’s versatile voice realises ARR’s dream. Also the song progresses with ‘Adhiradikkaran’ kind of beats now and then. The chorus and beats are avant-garde. May demand a lot of listening before you love it. Muthukumar’s lyrics are very ordinary and fails to impress. The feel produced by this song is similar to the effect produced by ‘Maja Maja’(SOK) and ‘Kettena’(Desam). A song for the world! 4.Chinnamma Singers: Benny Dayal, Chinmayi Lyrics : Pa Vijay A Tamil version of the song ‘Chinnamma Chilakkamma’ from Rahman’s soundtrack for the Hindi movie Meenaxi(2004). Though a repetitive seranade from ARR, not disappointing. Benny sings very similar to Udit, the singer of the original Chinnamma. But Benny beats udit with his proper Tamil pronounciation. We could hear Udit’s humming at the ending point of this song!. Benny’s adaptable voice eeks out his best at the high pitch areas. Chinmayi in this song sounds very different from ‘I miss you da’. Both the singers have given their maximum effort in this song. Pa Vijay’s lyrics have perfectly fit this Andhra folk song. The song begins like an old Telugu song played in a old philips radio. Fantastic! One of ARR’s best folk numbers. The Andhra feel reminds us ‘Errani Kurrani’(Kadhalan) song. With the usage of folk instruments and a few western equipment Rahman has challenged the kuthu song world! 5.Elay* Singers: Krish ,Naresh Iyer Lyrics : Na Muthukumar Seems to be the ’soul’ song of this movie. Full of guitar sounds, violin pieces and quick beats. Though the music is of the Rock genre, the lyrics and violin gives us ‘at home’ feeling. A positive and pleasant song which bridges east and west. Though a number of instruments are used, nothing goes haywire. Wonderful orchestration and coordination by ARR. In this song Muthukumar gains what he lost in ‘I Miss you da’ song. The song ends by providing us a jazz feel. Krish and Naresh sing exactly with the feel of south Indian boys. At times this song reminds us ‘Roobaaroo’(Rang De Basanti). But the utilisation of other instruments makes this song different. 6.Naan Epodhu Singers: Reena Bharadwaj Lyrics : Pa Vijay Another reiteration from Meenaxi. The Same singer is called back. A wonderful North Indian style song, with a lovely tune and guitar interludes. Beautiful addition of effects at right times. Right choice of voice. Totally an awesome song. But, this awesome song is stained by the awkward pronounciation(Pen or pin??!!) of the singer. This is the third female solo song of this album and the shortest one. Pa Vijay’s romantic lyrics along with excellent instrumentation doesn’t fail to create the intended swooning effect. A sweet song! http://spontic.wordpress.com/2008/07/12/sakkarakatti-music-review/

Hi sajin, As u know that all the compositions are based on some raagas or folk notes, the magic of MDs depends upon how well they play wid raagas, to develop a new gem. About May Maatham song, i havent seen the picturization and also i dnt understand the lyrics..but i have a feeling that its a morning song.. To give the feel of Fresh,Divine morning, arr used the notes on suprabhatam in flute. The main composition of the song, ie Marghazhi poove..its entirely different from the suprabhatam..but just to give the feel of divine, fresh, happy morning, the flute piece is based on Suprabhatam notes... AND the best part is dat, the magic has worked..awesome thinking, superb output and a divine song... Theres nothing that he hasnt sung yet, probably except a punjabi stuff. And all the songs that hes sung are the kind of songs that you would call as awe-inspiring stuff. People may call Shankar mahadevan as the best Singer- Composer, but if there is one Composer-Singer, its only Boss. http://benlyboy.blogspot.com/2008/06/meherban-and-r-rahman.html regards, Vithur HELP EVER; HURT NEVER; LOVE ALL; SERVE ALL

I think its a great musical movie. A movie which has lovely folk songs with very racy beats. Its a lovely blend of classical music and folk music. Songs like 'Margazhi Thingal which starts off with the famous Thirupavai has been sung beautifully to the raga of Sindhu Bhairavi. The transcendtal strumming of the tanpoora transfers one to an ethereal world. the song that impressed me most was 'Sowkiamma' sung by nityashri and this song shows one the nuances of the raga ' Maand'. Though I am not competent enough to comment on this, I think Maand is a hindustani raag and finds its place in carnatic music too as does the raga 'Desh'. ARR has shown his prowess in the field of carnatic classical music and am sure this one song is enough to make his critics eat a humble pie. The other song Varahanadhi Karai I think is using the raga Yemen Kalyani as its base though its a mix of folk music. But then again ARR has done it again bringing in fine blend of folk music and classical music. All in all its a great album I think. Listen to this. This is a stunning effort from Rahman. It was released at time when Rahman was at peak of his career and people were criticizing Rahman that he cant do classical music. Then came Sangamam , as usual, Rahman let his work do all the talking. This album is an absolute masterpiece. A album I would cherish for the rest of life. Just cant get over this album..Its amazing. I can just thank Rahman for filling our lives with happiness and joys with his music. Thank You Sir !!!

Dil se.. another magic created by the maestro!!! arr's compositions become more divine when they get the (wordings of vairamuthu(in tamil) and gulzar (in hindi)..the words not only give thump to the tune but also helps in expressing the mood wid words.Though i dnt understand tamil but i just love the way they sound..and the my imaginations get a new dimensions later wen my tamilian friends explain the meaning to me later... chayian chaiyan is a great sufi track where beloved is compared and loved as much as God. and d same passion wid little more crazyness in satrangi re.. and thaiya thaiya too doesnt fail to take you to another world.. and den comes Dil se re... i think i have heard the track more than i have prayed to god in my life..Everything is just perfect..one of the bests aye ajnabi is though a very sad song but it relates everyones pain dats y it became such a big hit..i have never seen anyone who doesnt like dis song.. Jiya jale is just awesome..superb blend of mridangam, and lata's voice ...and malayalam chantings are the one which i can never stop listening to.and the alap at the ending..DIVINE is the word Vithur this post of urs has forced me to switch to dil se (after a small Gap) and give a break to JTYJN and ADA for lil time..thanks brother..keep posting ~ love music love life Neetika - Original Message - From: Vithur [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com Sent: Monday, June 16, 2008 9:34:15 AM GMT +05:30 Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi Subject: [arr] Dil Se Re *Dil se*……..might sound a bit flirtatious…..but its musichttp://bollywood-songs.org/dil-sere/#is a music for a lifetime. Composed with typical *REHMAN* beats….it has everything to touch your soul. Pardon me for saying that. There might be a number of people who will not agree to me, especially the ones who have grown up on singings of *Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Mohd. Rafi and Manna Dey*. But here's an album which consists of both the flavors, a bit of OLD IS GOLD types and a sound quantity of hip-hop too. It's a masterpiece for all ages and an item to be treasured. If an amazing music director like REHMAN and genius lyrical gem like* GULZAR SAAB* work together, there is no second opinion in the quality of music they are going to deliver. This is what they have proven in DIL SE……… Talking about the songs http://bollywood-songs.org/dil-sere/#, four different languages have been used to compose the lyrics- Hindi, Urdu, Tamil and Punjabi. So the album has some or the other thing to suit everyone's taste. A total of six songs are there, and each of them is unique in its class: 1) *Chaiyya Chaiyya* - With typical Rehman style, Urdu is used in bulk. Is shot with *Shahrukh Khan* and sexy *Malaika Arora* dancing on the top of a train. And guess what, sharukh has done this dangerous job himself without using any stunt man. This is what you call as rehman effect……. This song became a rage of that time, and was a favourite at discs and parties. Sung by *Sukhwinder Singh *and *Sapna Awasthi* it was nothing other then a gift for music lovers. 2)*Dil Se re*: Sung by *A.R. Rehman* himself, a combination of desi as well as Hollywoodish feel, was a major highlight of the album. Brilliantly sung and the smoothness of lyrics reflected Rehman's true brilliance as a music director and Gulzar's lyrical mastery. 3) *Ek Ajnabee*: The song was specially framed for lovey-dovey couples. One of the best of the lot. Sung by great *Udit Narayan* who has given his best and had left no margin for error. Lyrics cant get better than this and what else can add to its perfection is that a single music instrument is used almost throughout the song. 4)* Satrangi Re:* Passion…….Passion……True Passion…….. Be it picturization or the musical intensity, this song reflects true passion. Sung by *Sonu Nigam, * now no more questions about the quality of song as the name SONU NIGAM itself stands for quality! 5) *Jiya Jale*: Magic of *Lata Mangeshkar* everywhere…..effortlessly sung, as usual by the singing sensation and was another gem of the album. Quite famous among the love birds. 6) *Thaiyya Thaiyya* – With almost same composition as that of chaiyya-chaiyya, this song was not picturized in the film. It is jeweled by precious Punjabi lyrics and is unique in its own way. Very few albums delivers the music that reaches out to a wide variety of cultures, traditions and people. Dil Se is one such album with a universal feel to it. Thats Dil Se for you. ( POSTED FROM AN URL which cannot be circulated ...) -- regards, Vithur HELP EVER; HURT NEVER; LOVE ALL; SERVE ALL

And it was so funny how Udit Narayan commented ARR sir is very hardworking..the plays and sings the whole night ...and makes us also to sing the whole night .and he was recording for the song Ghanan Ghanan and in between does a mistake and den says..sorry sir..once more And it was superb the way amir khan was describing the songs..i remember wen he said that in the song Radha kaise na jale ..it displays the expression of jealousy beautifully...Jab radha gaa rahi hai to tabla baichain ho raha hai..Wen the girl is singing the beats of Tabla shows restlesness of the girl! He also mentions that ARR's songs take time to grow on you, but once it does aapke khoon mein chad jaata hai (It gets right into your blood) Even I was thinking about this programme sometime back Would be great if someone has it!!! Not only does the music maestro have a stylist, but he has roped in his favourite designers — Shantanu and Nikhil — to dress him up for the Cannes Film Festival, starting May 14. His style sense completely gels with our brand philosophy, which is understated, classic, sophisticated and luxurious. Which is why he loves our clothes and has been wearing them to his concerts, says Nikhil Mehra of the designer duo. So, what'll he be wearing? We've made him a navy blue jodhpuri bandgala, reminiscent of his Indian heritage, yet with a very stylish cut and silhouette suitable for red carpet dressing. Bringing in the luxe touch to the outfit is the appliqué work on the jacket inspired by the Mughal era. The outfit pays tribute to Rahman, both as a man and as an artiste who does India proud, he adds. Interestingly, the music composer had just one request for the designers — to avoid the colour black. Yes, he does not like the colour black. But apart from that one input, he left the designing to us, reveals Nikhil. Known best for their red carpet dressing, having designed for the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Sushmita Sen, Shilpa Shetty and Saif Ali Khan, among others, for several award functions, the two are now in the midst of getting their line for the IFFA awards in place. We're busy finishing the collection and will be soon sending the designs out to various actresses, informs Nikhil. And while they've got a whole bevy of beauties on their wish list, they're hoping Deepika Padukone, Konkana Sen Sharma and Katrina Kaif will wear their red carpet style to the IFFA. Let's see how it works out, he says. -- regards, Vithur Whatever God wants to give, no one can deny; Whatever God wants to deny, no one can give. Be happy always

Courtesy itwofs. *Taal's Raga Dance* This is NOT an instance of lifting/ copying. Its more about sound sampling/ use of loops. These are commercially available pieces and are used by musicians worldwide. Sandeep Chowta did it for the orchestration of Pyar Tune Kya Kiya's 'Khambakt Ishq' (its a different issue that he lifted the tune, which was rather blatant!). Al Di Meola's 'Race with devil on Turkish highway' (1998) has a prelude piece which is EXACTLY similar to the opening piece in Taal's (1999) 'Raga Dance' music piece by A R Rahman! Al Di Meola had fellow guitarist Steve Vai collaborating with him in this number (this song was originally composed by Meola in 1978, for his album 'Elegant Gypsy' - it was then called 'Race with devil on Spanish highway'). Strangely enough, you'd not find the Taal piece in Meola's 70s version. I had found a mention about this in an online message board where the poster had alleged that Rahman has copied Meola! Just wanted to let this site's visitors know that this would not amount to copying, since the very purpose of creating samples and loops is for use by musicians. A reviewhttp://www.epinions.com/musc_mu-280851of Meola's album 'Infinite desire' says, *Di Meola is nobody's technophobe, so in addition to delicately played acoustic guitar and piano, many tunes here feature sampling technology and looped-sounding rhythm tracks*. Another reviewhttp://www.epinions.com/content_57850629764, on a different note, talking about Meola's music style says, *Al is joined by fellow guitarist, Steve Vai, and the two of them race through the complex number in mind-boggling style and tempo. You can really tell these two cats like to wail at each other* - Precisely what I felt when I heard this eclectic and disparate sounding track! Q: You produce movies, You direct and produce movies, and you direct movies. Which among the three do you consider you are best at ? SG :- I write, I direct and I produce. Three Jobs I have to do. There are three persons in me, who keep fighting with each other. Writer keeps writing longer version of scripts. Director wants to cut it; Producer wants to control Director's economics; But I have managed to balance all this three, very smartly and very intelligently. Q :- what was your Dad and mom ? Q :- So, When did you meet RAHMAN ? SG :- It was a long back story. It was 1993. I remember , Rahman's Roja Film music was released. Few people were talking in Bombay. New boy coming out with a genius quality in him, compared to other Music Director. So, I was coming from Mysore to Bangalore. At that time, in the car, the driver was playing songs of Roja. The songs were being played, and I asked him whose film it is ?. He says that it is A.R. Rahman from Madras. I said, ya ya. I have heard his name. So, I kept hearing those songs. So, it was two to three hours journey. So, I heard two three times. I could see a lot of talent, innovative quality because I have been trained under Laxmikanth Pyaralal for 20 years, and I had music sense from my childhood. So I had developed an ear for music. I talked to him; I love your music and am planning a film. I would like to have your services as Music Composer. So, he was quite excited and he said, Even I love your Film Hero, and I used to play Hero's tunes, while I was a keyboard player. So, immediately, we clicked with each other. It was a very mutual admiration for each other, and when I met him, I could see his clean and Divine qualities in this man. I remember when he said, Lets do a good job. I talked to him about money. How much money I should pay?. He says, Lets do a good music. We shall talk about it later. So I understood his character, and that he is more passionate about his work. And i started blending with him, and we started to work on a film called SHIKHAR, which finally couldnt place. But then , it happened in TAAL. I would say, that I was the first from the Hindi Film Industry who noticed him from the Bombay Industry and who came to work with him, and everyone in Bombay Industry was surprised to see me coming down and working with a South Indian Music Director. There were frowns and questions in Bombay, as to how a Music Director from South India, could make music for a Hindi Film, and find a place in Hindi Industry. In Hindi Music, there is always a Northern Music which is dominating. So, they were wondering, How I am going to justify ?. So, I told him, Dont worry. YOu know the Indian Classical and Western Music well. And he really proved , while recording two songs . Ishq Bina Jeena Kya was recorded first, which I later on recorded in Taal. This song initially did not belong to Taal. It was recorded for Shikhar. So, I could see the new kind of vibrations and growth in me, treating myself. We were

To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Sat, 19 Jan 2008 09:31:30 -0800Subject: [arr] [IMPORTANT] An opportunity to help the foundation Dear friends,Here is an opportunity to spread the word about the A.R.Rahman Foundation and contribute to it as well. A series of 9 colouring books for children, based on the theme of Pray For Me Brother (the first book was released by ARR at the Delhi concert) are being released over thenext year. This is an entirely non-profit venture and all proceeds from the sales of these books will go the Foundation. The books are priced at Rs. 100/- eachHere is how you can contribute to this effort -i. Buy copies for personal useii. Buy copies to gift to relatives and friendsiii. Buy copies to sell/donate/distribute to schools and institutionsThe books can be purchased online from http://cgi.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemitem=220193732875Shipping is presently available only within India. For fans located outside of India, you could ship these books to family and friends in India. If someone is interested in a bulk order, the publishers will consider shipping them overseas too. From the fan community, We are hoping to guarantee minimum sales of 500 copies per title. That is the least we could do given our commitment, devotion and size. Even at 2 copies per person, only 250 people need to buy. We could surely do much more than that. Looking forward to your ardent support. On behalf of the foundation,Vijay. _ Post free property ads on Yello Classifieds now! www.yello.in http://ss1.richmedia.in/recurl.asp?pid=219
RE: [arr] ARR and Emotions of Darkness
How can u say that??? dat arr cant connect to dark emotions? for anger : tauba tauba : vande matram for torture: Bombay (Movie back ground, 2nd half, shankar mahadevan vocals) ill intend : Kadhalan (Movie back ground(villian's entry) To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Wed, 9 Jan 2008 18:11:37 +0530Subject: Re: [arr] Regarding the LOTR Interview - ARR and Emotions of Darkness Good insight Chord. Expected a good discussion on this. If we look at his films, where he had to project evil - like Ramyakrishnan in Padayappa, Raguvaran in Kadalan, the terrorists in Roja, they are mild i feel, even though they are good. They are the not the 'Classic' evil stuff like a pshyco, serial killer, etc..Even those pieces when listened separately would not always convey evil to a first time listener. Can somebody say what is the darkest movie that ARR has done?Fire comes to my mind. ARR is yet to do a crime thriller (KKS, Thiruda Thiruda sort of falls into that category) or horror. I was always expecting and still expect a horror movie from ARR. But I too feel, ARR would not be able to connect to such dark emotions like anger, horror, ill intent, torture, etc and more so as music is spiritual and reflection of his personality for ARR. On Jan 5, 2008 9:24 PM, Vithur [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I agree with you. IN fact ARR has told himself that a music composer should have a corner in his heart for sorrow. On 1/5/08, Chord [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I found it quite interesting when ARR mentioned that he finds it difficult to compose for dark emotions. I always thought that ARR was at his post potent when he composed for films that had darker themes, like 1947 Earth, Water, Fire, Dil Se, Bombay etc. He expresses and communicates sorrow and loss through his music unlike what I have ever experienced before through any composer. It's one of his magical strengths. His music has moved me to tears unlike any other composer. Examples, Bombay Theme, 1947 Earth Piano Theme, the Instrumentals of Fire, songs like Piya Ho, etc. Perhaps there needs to be a qualittative distinction here within the realm of dark emotions. The darkness that ARR is referring to in the LOTR may be described as angry, evil, menacing, ill intent, while the darknes he has composed for in earlier films had to do with more sorrow and loss, more on the melancholic axis of the darkness spectrum. ARR seems to be able to identify with sorrow and loss through his own life experiences, which he is able to communicate well through his music. Given his spiritual, whole hearted and wholesome nature, I believe it when he says that composing music that communicates evil in a broader sense would be quite difficult, since his ego is not able to identify with that axis of dark emotions. Perhaps he felt he could compose these emotions on an intellectual plane if prescribed, but not able to do full justice since his heart would not be able to connect to those core emotions. I am guessing, and I could be wrong, that ARR does not identify with anger as much as with sorrow. Would like to hear your thoughts about this. -- regards,VithurA.R.RAHMAN - THE ABODE OF DIVINE MUSIC _ Post free property ads on Yello Classifieds now! www.yello.in http://ss1.richmedia.in/recurl.asp?pid=220

RE: [arr] Re: Screen noms are out.
i strongly believe that GURU deserves it !!! well to justify: Jaage hain : truely international..brilliantly composed and sung..and the orchestra is out of the world tere bina : Great sufi touch..awesome is the word..i dnt think words are required to describe its greatness Aye hairathe aashique : a suberb emotioanl love song ..with gazal like touch in it Shauk hai : once again brilliantly composed and sung..lots of emotions and soul barso re: truely out of the box composition..As SPB also said in one of the shows, its pattern is completely different from what we see usually. Jodi: purely situational...and the touch of folk in composition sounds good.. alltogether a great package!!!i dnt think anything can beat this!!!
