[FairfieldLife] Re: Iowa pols support pundit visas

2006-10-29 Thread shempmcgurk
Leach's tenure repreesenting the District in which Fairfield resides
is a long one. I was at MIU when he won over the incumbent Ed
Medvinsky (who was later convicted of some sort of fraud and may
still be in prison over it).

Medvinsky was scheduled to come to MIU to speak during the campaign
but never showed up. So his wife came a few days later with
apologies (his wife several years later became a Congressperson
herself) and spoke on his behalf.

Leach also came to campus to speak and spoke at the learning center.

The TMO spin on all this would be: Leach got the support of nature --
and the electorate -- because he showed up at MIU. Medvinsky didn't
because he was a no-show.

Leach must be going on almost 30 years representing that district...

 from another Yahoo group list:

Both Iowa Senators and Jim Leach, MUM's US congressman since it
moved here, all wrote letters to the embassy to help the original
issuance of these first 342 [visas for pundits]. In discussing
this
on the phone, Congressman Leach said it's been a long time since
he
visited, so he came yesterday and met with Maharishi Vedic City
and
MUM leaders and also was going to speak with some students.

 complete post:

 Dear Friends,

Experiences were as rich and infinite as ever this morning. Three
more people described their very profound and beautiful, almost
breathtaking experiences of Light, Unity, Atma, Brahm, in varying
degrees of simplicity and complexity, all embedded in the
simplicity
of Unity. The calls usually last about one and a half hours. This
morning Maharishi was not on the line but Dr. Bevan said he'll be
back tomorrow. When he's on, it's like participating in another
universe, and one gets increasingly restructured. One starts to
see
how everything one has done in the past has been in terms of off-
base, not so in touch with what really is, no matter how creative,
intelligent, influential from the perspective of the waking state.
Of
what value are the past actions and achievements in the light of
these experiences? Just to get one closer to Maharishi and to hear
these experiences and have them, more and more. Maharishi has been
virtually riveted (easily, blissfully) on these experiences and
doesn't discuss much about the Pandits although he's very
attentive
about them and their arrival and the country as a whole.
Maharishi's
spiritual mastership is so evident in how he handles each
experiencer
and his or experiences. Everything he says is either so unexpected
but perfect or expected and more powerful than it used to be. In
listening to these experiences and Maharishi, one gets the
feeling,
this is what matters most to Maharishi, to help as many people as
possible have this level of experience. It is this level of
experience by so many people that is lifting America to the level
of
deservability for invincibility and a new life together, and
providing the unified foundation on which the Vedic Pandits can
now
 come.

In most calls he creates a sort of theme. One of his main points
recently is that experience and these experiences are themselves
the
technology of invincibility. Our experience is our technology.
He
is inviting people to discuss experiences only in TM-Sidhi
practice,
and not in activity, and not inviting any intellectual reflections
or
perspectives about the experiences. It is powerful. Dr. John said
in
passing at the end of one of his talks that Maharishi asks him to
give each day, that the Course Participants are the pioneers of
Invincible America. Maharishi really liked that and picked up on
that
and now this identification - Pioneer of Invincible America - is
often used by Maharishi and Drs. John and Bevan to refer to each
 person on the Course.

Maharishi had been saying he wanted 500 Pandits now, 1,000 soon,
and
eventually 1,500. Dr. Bevan announced this morning Maharishi wants
1,000 Pandits to come, apparently asap, instead of just 500. Raja
Wynne has been speaking to banks to increase the amount of funding
for more room, infrastructure and homes for them on their new
campus. The homes will be organized in six groups of 20 homes
each,
with a kitchen and dining area for each. 750 of the 4800 of the
foundation post holes were poured as of Wednesday along with those
for one of the kitchens, and work was proceeding well on all the
utilities, etc. Fiber optic cable is going in and the many permits
required were in process. The new homes are 41' X 14,' about 1/3
smaller than those of the original campus where Mother Divine now
resides. They come in one part, not two halves, so won't need to
be
joined when they are installed. It took about one day to join the
halves of the first buildings and install them, these new homes
will
go in faster, probably six/business day, as

[FairfieldLife] Re: Pandits are HERE!

2006-10-29 Thread TurquoiseB
I really don't know what to think when I read stuff
like this. Unlike many, I was never a Hindu wannabee
when I was part of the TM movement. I didn't believe
then that poor kids bought off the streets with the
promise of three square meals a day chanting verses
in a language they don't understand could affect the
world terribly much, and I don't believe it now.
It's all far too Woo Woo Ray for me.

But congrats to the TMO for finally -- *once* -- doing
what they said they would do. I know that many, like
Roses-coloured-glasses here and Jim, will be projecting
all their fantasies onto these kids, hoping that the
magical Woo Woo Rays will transform the world. Me,
I'll be looking to see how this whole experiment works
out. Will poor kids brought to America be content with
living in seclusion in the land of milk-white breasts
and honey-colored Cadillacs, or will they start sneakin'
out at night for a little taste of what most Indians
I've ever met are *really* interested in? What will
happen if they do? (I think we all know the answer to
that one -- Maharishi and the TMO will react with swift
and sure vengeance, and try to strike the fear of God
into these kids and make them toe the Vedic line.)

All in all, it'll be a fairly interesting experiment to
watch. I think the most telling thing so far is the
plan to cut funds to Westerners and use Settle's grant
to pay for the outsourced butt-bouncers, almost cer-
tainly *while* using them as fodder to inspire a whole
new set of demands for funds from the Westerners. It's
a scenario just *designed* for the TMO -- they get to
use Somebody Else's Money to pay for the room and board
for Maharishi's Kids, while he gets to do telethons
to raise additional millions of dollars, not a penny
of which will ever go their way.

And all the while, the HIndu wannabees will be mood-
making a mile a minute, seeing the world through their
Roses-coloured glasses, seeing nothing but what they
want to see, insisting that this imported pool of cheap
labor really *is* saving the world through the power of
their Woo Woo Rays. *However* it turns out, it'll be
a real circus, top-notch entertainment. But what I'm
waiting for is what happens the first time one of these
kids decides to say, Fuck this chanting shit...I'm
gonna go into town and knock me off some booty. Now
*that* will be entertainment...

  Dear Friends,

  The pandits are here!

You probably know the story about Krishna holding up the sky with
 one hand
with everyone else coming with their broomsticks to help. Over
 the last
few days, there have been a lot of broomsticks at work, and a
 miracle has
happened. Those monstrously ugly, old, hopelessly rundown frat
 buildings are
being transformed, right in front of one's eyes, into what one
 person called
four star hotels. No one would have thought such a
 transformation was
possible. A few days ago light fixtures were dangling, plumbing
 was leaking,
clogged, or broken, carpet was ragged, walls were dirty and
 broken, doors
were missing, knobs didn't work, windows were broken or hung in
 broken
  sashes--it was a tenement building.

But when it was understood that the pandits were really coming,
 the call
went out for volunteers. When I went to see what I could do to
 help, I was
enthralled by what I saw. It wasn't people who responded to that
 call--it
was saints. I am acquainted with people whom I believe to be
 enlightened,
but anyone can be enlightened--not everyone becomes a saint.
 Predominately,
these people were saints. I didn't see any mood- makers there
 (it's hard to
maintain a mere mood when you've worked until 1:00 A.M. many
 nights in a
row) but what I did see was, again and again, upstairs and down,
 faces that
glowed through fatigue with an innerluminescence, a simple and
 pure spirit
of service. Many of them had not eaten since lunch, some not since
breakfast. Yet everyone was smiling and moving swiftly. With so
 much
happening so fast there was much confusion, yet I heard no
 complaints. There
are soldiers on a battlefield soaked in blood and terror; here the
 battle
for world peace was being waged with mops and paint brushes,
 screwdrivers
and glue, love and helping hands ... and smiles.

There's a lot to thank donors for, but I don't think we could have
 raised
the money to pay for having this done. I don't think there is a
 construction
company on earth that would have been willing to contract for that
 much
renovation in such a short time. Day before yesterday, I tripped
 over loose
tiles while putting painter's tape over light fixtures in the
 pathetic,
dingy, barren lower hall of Building 114. That's how bad it was.
 But twenty
  four

Or could they be the beginnings of a new fund raising caste?

I think the latter is a given, right? They're the
TMO's Jerry's Kids.

The visa thing, however, *would* be good to know
the details of. I used to work in NYC with any
number of Indians who had been brought over to
the US by their relatives. The relatives were
billing these guys' services to Chase Manhattan
Bank for $50 an hour while paying them $5 an hour
and putting them up in the YMCA. The poor guys
who were being treated like this were afraid to
say anything or do anything because their relatives
had convinced them that under the conditions of
their visas they could *not* seek other work or
doing anything other than what their bosses (in
this case their sleazy relatives) said.

We (me and a few other programmers) did the home-
work for them and found out the real details of
their visa situation and sat them all down and
told them the truth. As a result, most of these
guys were able to renegotiate their own direct
contracts with Chase Manhattan, and tell their
relatives to go fuck themselves. We also informed
Chase Manhattan what the relatives were doing and
the bank reacted by taking them off the approved
providers list. Sometimes things work out the
way you'd like them to.

Anyway, I think it would be good :-) if someone
found out what the visas these guys arrived here
under really say, just in case any of them get
tired of generating Woo Woo Rays, and are prevented
from doing so by those they trust.

Let me guess...banging a Brahman's wife gets ya 5 billion years
in an ugabuga terrible hell. Not giving money to a Brahman,
when he hits you up for a fiver to get a six pack, gets ya a
bunch of billion years in a bad bad hell that smells bad and

hell and it will be hot and not nice and the food will be bad
and your clothes will not fit and people will be rude to you
for about 3.5 billion years or even more, and you will not
like it and you should obey Brahmans who made up these rules.

Exactly.

Call me ignorant, but I'm going with a total F the Brahmans
philosophy. All these phony rules were made up for an ancient
power play, and they don't work anymore cuz now we can all
 read.

Oh, they still work, on the people they work on. That's
what those who invoke such rules count on. Nothing works
as well as superstition to control a population; it's even
more effective than other forms of coercion.

So now the Brahmans can all get real jobs like the rest of
us, and stop extorting money with their made-up silly threats
 about hell. Peace out.

But that would involve *working*. No soup for you. :-)

MMY and the TMO have never come to terms with the

ignored in the hope that it will just go away. King
Tony's book about the veda and the body is quite
interesting due to its failure to mention the genitals

2006-10-29 Thread Jason Spock

Jimbo bimbo is a bit naive. Maybe he's too futuristic. In this duality based Universe, some enemy will always crop up. Unless fundamental Political reforms take place in third world countries, tuned to present day economy and technologies, problems will continue to persist. Creation of Artificial states has also contributed to serious political problems. Israel, Kuwait, Pakistan, Taiwan, Splitting of the Koreas, etc etc. Kuwait was always a part of Iraq or Mesapotomia for 5000 years. The British greedy for Oil, carved out an artificial state and called it Kuwait in the 1930's. Iraq in fact has an legitimate claim over Kuwait just as Egypt had over Suez canal. Iraq should have taken the problem to the UN 60 years ago itself. Maybe Bob Brigantte is correct, the Scorpion Nation has created much of the present problems in Asia 60 years ago. If the real "vedic" Natural Law was applied in matters TM, all westerners would be mlecchas--equal to untouchables. That might just be why they feel they can milk us for money and feel no remorse. After all, it's written in the book.On Oct 29, 2006, at 12:51 AM, curtisdeltablues wrote:"Kailasasamhita Ch. 13 - 57: After thinking thus the intelligent devotee shall perform the Japa of Gayatri...58: The sinner who repeats Gayatri in any other manner is tortured in the terrible hell for the period of kalpa [~4.3 billion years]." Let me guess...banging a Brahman's wife gets ya 5 billion years in an ugabuga terrible hell.  Not giving money to a Brahman, when he hits you up for a fiver to get a six pack, gets ya a bunch of billion years in a bad bad hell that smells bad and is bad.  And should a person not obey all the orders of a Brahman, they will be tortured in a bad place and it will be hell and it will be hot and not nice and the food will be bad and your clothes will not fit and people will be rude to you for about 3.5 billion years or even more, and you will not like it and you should obey Brahmans who made up these rules. Call me ignorant, but I'm going with a total F the Brahmans philosophy.  All these phony rules were made up for an ancient power play, and they don't work anymore cuz now we can all read.  So now the Brahmans can all get real jobs like the rest of us, and stop extorting money with their made-up silly threats about hell.  Peace out.

affect theworld terribly much, and I don't believe it now. It's all
far too Woo Woo Ray for me.But congrats to the TMO for finally --
*once* -- doingwhat they said they would do. I know that many,
likeRoses-coloured- glasses here and Jim, will be projectingall their

*while* using them as fodder to inspire a wholenew set of demands for

they get to use Somebody Else's Money to pay for the room and boardfor
"Maharishi's Kids," while he gets to do telethonsto raise additional
millions of dollars, not a pennyof which will ever go their

seeing nothing but what theywant to see, insisting that this imported pool

No, no, booty, as in plunder, prize, the spoils
of conquest; knock as in knock down, conquer,
 take for oneself.

Actually it was a play on knocking boots or sex, but I subbed
booty, hip hop for butt. It cannot be twisted into a putdown on
women. Some women like this activity as much as men Judy. Now am I

Actually it was a play on knocking boots or sex, but I

It's one thing when you're young and foolish and

Once upon a time in the land of abundant sexual pleasures a man came from California to sexland. He claimed to be celibate until he met deva Marcia. Deva marcia had the finest charms in the land. Before he arrived and they were introduced five cherubims were chosen to give love but no sex.

One of those was Deva Marcia. Long black hair, tinted bright skin, luscious eyes, and a body that would make any man crave. Well depends if you like veluptuous asses, medium large breast, medium thighs, beautiful hands if this be your type then you will relate.

TK arrived from California having been painted as a yogic saint who was willing to donate major money to assist the children of TLAS.

Since there were five women to help with his every need he did fine until he met Deva Marcia and she asked How may I serve you my brother? OH BOY!

Soon the man called his wife and told her he wanted a divorce. He found his soulmate...

His wife went hysterical and the battles began he could not think of anything but Deva Marcia. The Karma Gods got angry and image went to the domes and never came back. The effort got abandoned and he drives a taxi satvicly

Re: [FairfieldLife] Re: Vedic Pandits - etiquette

2006-10-29 Thread Louis McKenzie

Do you know that screwing people have a different vibe than non screwers? I used to be so paranoid that people would know if I was a screwer. Probably why I stopped or did not do very much around the movement. Because I wanted to keep my screwer side secret. Kind a like I was afraid that if I screwed that I was stand in front of Suzy Levin and she would see me clothes less with a giant u know what sticking out

I'll bet at least one of these guys are so afraid that they might be found out that they would never do anything like that.

For the Female who is going to carry the genes, it's the Quality that matters. She wants to have the best possible genes for her offspring so that it has a better chance of survival.

For the Male, it's the Quantity that matters. He wants to spread his genes far and wide. As much as possible. It's called the 'Coolidge effect'.

These aspects evolved over millions of years, Sir Kirk.llundrub [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:

So there's something wrong with screwing? Besides the conventional moral implications which are basically socioeconomic?

There was no triumphalist tone Judy. You made it all up. All my

You made up a put down, and having been called on it, you are

what I meant, and even after that is proven to you, you hold on to
your malicious agenda. It was a throwaway line for people with a
sense of humor, only you would try to twist it into a putdown of me.

Our class at MIU was mostly just out of high school, normal college
kids. We were not exposed to the celibacy weirdness that came later.
So we had normal relationships and had sex like normal college kids.
The later classes of MIU got the sex is bad message so they were
conflicted about having sex, even in the context of committed
relationships. So my class had the most sex because we had not yet
bee messed up my movement superstitions about sex as losing magic

were wrong like a decent person, you have to keep fighting and trying
to be right in your malice. I'll bet that quality is a real charmer

King PrithiviRaj Chauhan eloped and married Samyuktha, the princess of Kanouj, the daughter of another king jayachandra. Mahmud Gauri of Afghanistan invaded india in 1192, every single village and town on the way was slaughtered. Prithivi Raj Chauhan called for help from his father-in-law Jayachandra, but he was jealous of PrithiviRaj and refused to cometo his help. Mahmud gauri defeated the ill-prepared Prithivi Raj Chauhan and executed him and raped his wife who later commited Suicide. The same Mahmud Gauri again invaded india, two years later, attacked and killed jayachandra and left for Afthanistan. Nalanda, a part of the Budhist circuit, is famous for the the ancient International Monastic University. Established in 5th century BC by the Gupta Emperors, it was a famous learning centres in ancient times. The university had centres for studies in Buddhism, Vedas, Logic, Grammar, Medicine, Meta-Physics, Prose Composition and Rhetoric. Lord Buddha and Lord Mahavira have also taught here. The university library had a mammoth collection of 9 million volumes. The university remains are scattered around an area of 14 hectares. Though a large part of the university has been explored, a huge
portion remains unexcavated. It is believed that the university could accommodate 10,000 students and 2,000 teachers easily. Hsuan Tsang, the renowned Chinese traveler was also involved with the university foe 12 years. There is a monument built here in his memory. In 12th century AD, the whole university complex was destroyed by Bakhtiar Khilji, a Turkish Invader. All the 9 million books manuscripts and scrolls were burnt and all the buddhiust monks were killed. The entire university was burnt to the ground. Timur the Lameinvaded indiain 1398, theMongols descended into India, occupying Delhi, capital of the Islamic Delhi
sultanate, every single village and town along the way was slaughtered along the way. The residents ofdelhi rebeled, Timur ordered all the 70,000 residents of Delhi to be slaughtered and their heads cut of and piled in a heap.Aurangzeb the Mughal emperor from 1658 until 1707 was a Muslim fanatic. He tortured and killed thousands of Hindu Scholars because they refused to convert to Islam. He also introduced the Jiziya tax that should be paid only by Hindus The partition of India in 1947left both India and Pakistan devastated. The process of partition had claimed many lives in the riots. Many others were
raped and looted. Women, especially, were used as instruments of power by the Hindus and the Muslims; "ghost trains" full of severed breasts of women would arrive in each of the newly-born countries from across the borders. Atleast, 100,000 women were raped during the Partition riots. Around a million people died directly or indirectly due to the partition riots. it was the biggest displacement of people in history. 15 million refugees poured across the borders to regions completely foreign to them, for though they were Hindu or Muslim, their identity had been embedded in the regions where there ancestors were from. Not only was the
country divided, but so were the provinces of Punjab and Bengal, divisions which caused catastrophic riots and claimed the lives of Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs alike. Many years after the partition, the two nations are still trying to heal the wounds left behind by this incision to once-whole body of India. Many are still in search of an identity and a history left behind beyond an impenetrable boundary. The two countries started of with ruined economies and lands and without an established, experienced system of government. They lost many of their most dynamic leaders, such as Gandhi, Jinnah and Allama Iqbal, soon after the partition. Pakistan had to face the separation of Bangladesh in 1971. India and Pakistan have been to war thrice since the partition and they are still deadlocked over the issue of possession
of Kashmir. The same issues of boundaries and divisions, Hindu and Muslim majorities and differences, still persist in Kashmir.MarkMeredith2002 [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Date: Sat, 28 Oct 2006 22:24:42 -Subject: [FairfieldLife] Re: Pandits are HERE!India has hundreds of thousands of pundits doing their thing and hashad them for centuries and the country has been a social and economicmess for most of those centuries, yet 49 hindu priests in trainingarrive in the US and the destiny of the US and the world has beentransformed? ?? Damn thing is *50 million light-years away*.
That photo is of what it looked like 50 million
years ago.

On Earth at that time--15 million years after
the dinosaurs became extinct--large mammals
like giant sloths and saber-toothed tigers were
just beginning to evolve.

Homo sapiens didn't appear on the planet until
around a quarter-million years ago.

This Vaj is crazy. He hurls accusations without giving any clues at all. According to the Vedic Philosophy the 4 Varnas are based on duty and not birth. In ancient times the system was flexible. If one changes his occupation he naturaly becomes another Varna. Over the course of centuries the system became rigid and dogmatic. Perhaps Vaj has confused the teachings of the Koran with the Vedic

Porn models are just doing Service to Society. They are responding to a demand in the economy. Consider them as any other Professionals. These kind of services existed in all civilisations in all countries and all cultures.llundrub [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Date: Sun, 29 Oct 2006 09:34:17 -0600Subject: Re: [FairfieldLife] Re: Vedic Pandits - etiquetteI love porn and consider porn beauties to be very nice. [FairfieldLife] Re: Unusual Request, Public Defender wants assistance

2006-10-29 Thread curtisdeltablues
I think Vaj's point was actually nicer than the Vedic view of
Westerners as I understand it. We are not even untouchables who are
in the caste system and can trace their Shaka or Ghotra back to the
original Rishis. We are what MMY referred to in India as the
mix-ups because we have no clear lineage, and would require more
purification because of our low birth. Vaj's point that such low
lifes can be used at will is not much of a jump. In the Vedic system
the unsee-ables, below untouchables, have to ring a bell so people
can avert their eyes as they walked around. We are below that status
in the Vedic system. We are out-castes, the lowest humans in the
Vedic system.

You did good. 'Sleazy' relatives, what can I say? I was thinking more
along the lines of Madonna. Adopt a pundit: Wisk them away from
confused fathers to live in a 'mansion'. Maybe that's following the
trends a little to closely though...

sex for its own sake. That isn't what you were doing
in this post. I should have commented on those
earlier ones rather than waiting until this post.

So for world coherence, westerners are sort of like purifying deep
negative spots -- like prisons. Can't have them chanting or doing
yagyas. HMMM what to do. Ah,, have then hop around on their asses.
After a life of that, they may gain enough merit to be born as an
untouchable.

[FairfieldLife] Re: a time to be cautious(around Oct 29th

2006-10-29 Thread new . morning
So be careful. :)

The pundits arrived just in the nick of time to save the day. :)

(Could make a good cartoon show -- vedic pundits sweeping in at last
minute to fight off evil jyotish positions.)

   2. Jupiter and Mercury would be in conjunction and in infancy.
  Both of
these planets under the exact affliction of Rahu.

Actually, this pattern fits personal events in the past few days.
Rahu brings sudden, abrupt change. Jupiter and Mercury rule my
quandant houses -- including housing (4th) and career (10). A career
related thing suddenly went way south on Thursday. By Friday, it
corrected itself, resulting in a better situation. And yesterday a
real estate thing I had been working on for a week went totally south.
By last night, a better situation emerged. Roller coaster.

Any one else experience sudden changes the past few days? If you know
your jyotish chart, were the changes related to the house(s) that
Jupiter and Mercury rule? Or reside in.

 Dear Professor Choudhry,

Thank you very much for the warning. Indeed, the overall planetary
energy is unusually weak at this time and the afflictions noted at
that time therefore likely to be more harmful than otherwise.

  Best wishes,

   Hello dear list members,

On 29th of October there are going to be multiple transit
  afflictions:

   1. Mars, Sun and Venus would be conjunct ( Mars and Venus) be
  combust.

   2. Jupiter and Mercury would be in conjunction and in infancy.
  Both of
these planets under the exact affliction of Rahu.

   3. For some time even the Moon would be under the influence of
  Ketu.

   4. The Sun would be in its sign of debilitation.

   5. Saturn would be in the extreme old age.

Planetary weakness and conjunctions/aspects necessitate care for
  almost
   everybody.

So, take care of yourself and your nears and dears around this
  date. Better
do not plan outings around this date.

   Best wishes,

   V K Choudhry
