What was the (I believe it was 2) CS that was good for injection.
How would one use CS for injection.
I am troubled by sinus infections from time to time.
The cs I take does not appear to get to my sius's.
I do use a Nebulizer with cs in it.
I breath in through mouth and out of nose.
When I am done my nose is wet from cs.
This also does not help my Sinus's.
I was wondering about injections of CS.
How much how often and what kind and why only certain

I usually get rid of problem with an antibiotic.
The nebulizer does help me with by problem of getting

2010-03-04 Thread Bob Banever
Ah, but GMO's ARE bad for you. Nature will selectively modify organisms over
time... basically the fittest survive. For man to alter the genetic makeup of
a cell by introducing foreign genes (from animals into plants for instance) is
sheer folly, frought with all sorts of potential catastrophies not only for the
flora involved (and others nearby), but also by the humans that end up
ingesting these frankenfoods. Allergic reactions are just one of the potential
side effects. We cannot adopt to changes quickly, it can take centuries. GMO
foods have the potential of wiping out all living things and should be banned
immediatly.

Re: CSSilver wire

2010-03-04 Thread Ode Coyote

Actually, coins have less available surface area.
The edge is like a hundred pointy lightning rods.
Watch and see where oxide deposits form the thickest and what goes away
the fastestyou'll get the idea.

A hemispherical or hemi-cylindrical shape pushes the centers closer
together as the edges stay further back utilizing far more surface area.
Modern electroplating electrodes are *D* shaped for that reason.
[hemi-cylindrical ] and the bottom corners and lower curved edge still gets
rounded trying to go spherical.

On both wire and flat strips, corner/tip discharge over concentration can
be compensated for by bending the tips away from each other a bit.

I think the wires are easier to work with than coins, although the coins
would have more surface area, so might be better because of that. And
yes, for sure you want to prevent the alligator clips from touching the

interesting to drill a hole in the coin and hold it with a silver wire,
but ... hate to waste the silver in the hole...

Also, I don't know the purity of coins. Supposedly 999 is ok, but I

Re: CSSilver wire

2010-03-04 Thread Ode Coyote

The silver maple is going for $19.36 today, then you pay the refiners
premium, fabricators charge, shipping, handling, insurance and the sellers
commissions.
You can't buy silver at spot price and it has to be sold at a projected
replacement value if it is to be re-stocked in the future.
By the spool, Abe takes a modest 15% markup and could lose his shirt, big
time, if the price takes a jump just before restocking time.

$36 an ounce for a stock of wire being sold slow by the inch is a big
gamble. The longer you keep it, the bigger the gamble if you plan to re-stock.
If the recent past is any indicator, [and current market pressures are
stronger than ever with a gold to silver ratio well over the traditional
12-15%, now at ~64% ] it should be $200 an ounce.

With a high turnover rate selling coins, there isn't quite so much risk.

Minimum 3 coins = 62.01+12.00=18.60 [adding that 3%] = 80.62 / 3 = 25.82

Oh, and due to the shape amplifying edge discharge with centers and back
doing virtually nothing, they don't make the best electrodes. [they'll work]

The ridges on the edge concentrate edge discharge, limiting current
density without overloading the Nernst Diffusion layer and the centers and
backside do almost nothing.

Those ridges will dissolve pretty fast making them somewhat better, however.
A bit fiddly to mount.

IOW It'll take longer to do it right, but you can do it for a very long

Steve,

That statement is shocking. Do you work for Monsanto or some other
agrifood corp? Nature does nothing by accident... genetic changes occur over
thousands of years for survivability and those changes occur within a given
species. Thus, animal genes NEVER enter into a plant cell in nature. The
practice of genetic engineering is not only unhealthful, it is fraught with all
sorts of dangerous outcomes. Allergic reactions in people who eat the GMO food
is just one outcome. The practice of genetically altering plants could
potentially wipe out all life on earth and should be banned. People have
already died from eating GMO corn (Starlink variety). Insects ingesting these
plants have also died en masse. Birds (and bats) may also be dying due to
genetically modified foods (grains and other plants). This practice MUST be
stopped now.

I know that many of you on this list are very concerned about natural

The USDA has alarmingly and mistakenly announced that they do not
believe that consumers care whether or not GMO's are a part of our food supply

the integrity of and access to organic food, as well as the livelihoods of
organic farmers.

2010-03-04 Thread Richard Goodwin
I would agree that it would not be a good idea to genetically modify stuff
blindly without having any idea what the modification will do. But as far as I
know, they DO know what these modifications will do, which is why they do them
in the first place. Tomatoes that have a longer shelf life and taste better,
plants that have a better resistance to parasites, so they don't require
chemical sprays to protect them, etc.

Calling them frankenfood brings to mind an image of the superstitious
villagers circling the castle with torches, in a total panic because they don't
have a clue what is going on inside.

Better to find out what is going on, get some real knowledge of the subject,
and then panic. :-)

And I'm certainly not for blindly accepting anything like GMO either. But I
know nothing about it, so need to find out before I take a position either for
or against.

As for evolution, it is caused in a number of ways:

1. Changing environmental conditions can cause organisms to die off that are
unable to adapt, leaving only those that do adapt to reproduce and thereby
replicate their genes.

2. Changing sexual preferences can have the same effect, but many orders of
magnitude faster than 1.

3. Pure chance -- gamma rays, chemicals, or other accidents can cause genetic
modifications that, if they are successful, will begin a new line of
organisms, perhaps even drastically different from their predecessors, all
depending on the nature of the modification.

As I understand it, random accidental genetic modifications happen to all
living things all the time, but since most result in changes that cause the new
organism to fail, they never see the light of day. There is a lot to
evolution. I highly recommend Richard Dawkins's book The Selfish Gene.

Steve,

  That statement is
shocking. Do you work for Monsanto or some other agrifood corp?
Nature does nothing by accident... genetic changes occur over thousands of
years
for survivability and those changes occur within a given species. Thus,
animal genes NEVER enter into a plant cell in nature. The practice
of genetic engineering is not only unhealthful, it is fraught with all sorts of
dangerous outcomes. Allergic reactions in people who eat the GMO food is
just one outcome. The practice of genetically altering plants could
potentially wipe out all life on earth and should be banned. People have
already died from eating GMO corn (Starlink variety). Insects ingesting
these plants have also died en masse. Birds (and bats) may also be dying
due to genetically modified foods (grains and other plants). This
practice MUST be stopped now.

Richard,

We will have to agree to disagree. They DO NOT know what the outcomes of
GMO will do over time... there hasn't been enough time elapsed to do proper
studies, which would take 20 - 30 years. Secondly, if you've ever eaten
organically grown produce you will find that most of it tastes thousands of
times better than GMO foods, tomatoes included. Plants having their genes
altered by producing their own glyphosphate (Roundup) kill indescriminately.
Bugs and animals eating these Roundup Ready plants often die (as BT cotton
has shown in India and elsewhere). Often, the bugs who eat these GMO plants
develop resistence to the toxins and require even MORE and more potent
insecticides and this too has shown to be true in studies. It is a fallacy
that less insecticides are used, more are used and more potent and deadly ones
at that. Fooling with nature is sheer stupidity built on greed and has the
potential of killing all life on earth.

Hello Ode,

Just trying to understand this a little bit more and thinking out loud...

I have a SG6 generator that uses flat strips of silver. If I bent the flat
strips (just a little) so the edges were slightly further away from each
other would that help to minimize the edge effects?

Also, could you expand a little on why we are interested in reducing edge
effects?

Thanks.

I also don't know how thick the coin is to begin with, since all currencies

Thanks in Advance!

Oh, you also mentioned, that they last longer than the wires or strips. Why
would that be? Does it have anything to do with the total area, like the
larger it is, the better the energy is dispersed?

And I'm trying to think of what someone said about brewing in the sun and
adding something to it for the stirring motion? I tried to look for it
again, but that's hopeless. Just in case someone might remember, or the

track might intersect the container, but may not eliminate them as the
majority of crud [but not all of it ] comes from water contamination being
used up by highly reactive ions forming nonconductive particulates...in

added ions that don't find a reaction partner make it more conductive with

 So
The crud is a good thing...to leave on the bottom...as the top becomes
more refined by its dropping out.
The *generator* always does the same very simple thing in a massively
 variable and extremely reactive environment.

A low frequency alternating current output to the electrodes eliminates DC
ion tracking thus reducing the need to stir and those direction shifting

molecule by molecule by impact, but mostly only directly between the

If the container is mostly filled with electrode, that's generally enough

end up with 1.5 times as much finished CS in the same time period.

Re: CS CLAY used for Lupus recovering Dog--Wow so far!!

2010-03-04 Thread Golden Aldi
Carol, What's living clay? Here in Germany, they have something called
Heilerde, translated: healing soil. Its in a powder form, but I also
bought some already mixed, so its a super thick paste.

I tried washing my hair with it, but I might have put too much in, and
didn't wash it all out. I'm really not good at trying out new things on my
own. Must be from my up-bringing. Anyway, I also have a dog with a skin
disorder of something or other. For the longest time, I thought it might be
mites, or fleas. Last autumn it was really bad. The vet said that she is
probably allergic to the saliva of the flea or mite, since we were free of
parasites, but she was still itching and scratching herself. Her skin is
fire red, all over her body. She's a sheltie.

Have you bathed your dog in the clay? I don't know how else I could cover my
dog in this Heilerde I have. Heilerde can also be ingested, so maybe its the
same stuff, just called something else.

I'm glad to hear that your dog is off of steroids and antibiotics. Very
glad! That's usually what the vets come with... that and cortisone. That's
what Sheldon ended up getting last fall. I feel so bad about it, but it
seems that no matter what I try, she still ends up getting this, and now
with Spring soon upon us, she seems to be scratching herself a bit more too
much to my liking.

Re: CSTake a stand now and reject Mon San To's GMO drive

2010-03-04 Thread Annie B Smythe
Yeah but most of them don't have the potential of
contaminating and screwing up every food crop on
earth. Of causing a planet wide decimation of
heritage crops. They're so sure they know and
they've made claims in arrogance, and with no
knowledge of long term effects. And they've tried
to suppress any study that shows ill health
effects from their tampering.

Take round up ready GMO crops. The plants have
actually become more resistant , and the
resistance has spread to other weeds. They've
opened up Pandora's box and they're not going to
be able to contain it. It is the height of
arrogance to introduce genetic material that they
KNEW would spread and contaminate other plants.
There is no way to control the spread of it. And
maybe that's what they want, for their genes to
end up in everything so they can claim they own
it. And then charge everyone money for having
their genes in everything from garden roses to
backyard gardens.

They don't care if they should do what they're
doing, they did it because they could. The guys at
the top aren't scientists either, they're not
interested in how or why it works or doesn't.
They're CEOs that are only interested in profiting
from the science, not what ill effects might
result from their tampering. This is the same
company that says BPA is safe.

And I suppose the broken eggs idea is a real
comfort to all those Indian farmers who trusted
Moronsanto about GMO cotton and committed suicide
because they went broke because of crop failures
and having to buy seed every growing season,
farmers in poorer countries can't AFFORD to buy
seed every growing season and the specific
expensive chemicals required for use on them. The
crop yields were miserable, much much less than
Moronsanto promised in their glowing sales pitches.

Moronsanto has proven to be a liar in the past,
and I don't trust anything that comes from them.
They poison people and the environment with their
chemicals and they could care less as long as they
rake in the bucks. If their lips are moving
they're lying.

I'm glad that a seed bank was created to preserve
heritage seeds. Because I think at some point
we're going to need it. It's the height of
stupidity to use and endanger the world's food
supply to test new unproven technology.

I liken it to them creating a new virus and then
indiscriminately spreading it in the population at
large. It's dangerous and reckless to proceed in
that manner.

I am scientifically minded and have taken many
science courses over the years, with the exception
of chemistry. And you cannot convince me, no
matter what you say or how you justify it, that
they did not know that their crops would
contaminate every field around them for hundreds
of miles. Anyone who knows anything about plants
and genes knows that pollen is spread far and wide
by birds, insects, and even the wind. Pollens can
be spread far and wide in the wind. We gett grit
and dust in the US from Africa for heaven's sake.
So it's not too far a stretch to realize that
pollens can be carried for great distances. Birds
fly great distances, and migrate. And bees can
travel a bery long distance. Butterflies, and
other insects flit from one filed to another with
no concern about fences. They KNEW it would happen,
and they deliberately contaminated other people's
fields.

There is a lot of skulduggery involved in the GMO
seeds, and the USDA even owns patents as well from
what I understand. So it's about money plain and
simple.

There needs to be a law enacted that anyone who
takes a job at the FDA or the USDA cannot be hired
if they worked for a company that creates a
conflict of interest, or might benefit from the
person taking a government position.

It's very easy to use and shuts off automatically when the solutiion is
made.

Hi,

My name is Ed and I'm new to this group.
I have been interested in and used as needed ionic/colloidal
silver for about six years now.
It has been very effective for me especially in early stages
of colds and flu. This has been
a tough winter so far and I have spent about $180 for 64 oz
of Earthborn Colloidal Silver. (16, 16, and 32)
In order to save money I have decided to start making my own
and just purchased a unit from SilverGen.
I haven't recieved it yet but I'll look forward to any
constructive words of wisdom.
Best of health to all of you! Ed

Do we have any Canadians on the list.
Is there any place in Canada to buy Silver Maple Leaf coins direct as
I live in Detroit suburbs and can go to Canada some times in Summer.
If I bought a cheap roller for making jewelry I could roll the coins
So the surface area is greater or just hang 2 in the water.
Looking for a way to buy coins cheaper.

-Cos electricity is bone idle and will take the line of least resistance...the
shortest route between two points...the quickest way to get from 'here' to
'there'.

'Edges' or 'high spots' on electrodes will be the shortest distance between
those points and the silver will tend to be 'stripped' from those points moreso
than the whole surface of the 'electrode?'.

With two 'flat' surfaces electricity will find it harder to find 'edges' or
'high spots' and silver will tend to be 'stripped' from the *entire* surface of
the electrodes more evenly, rather than be concentrated at any of those

I guess it could be said that round wire electrodes have two 'high spots' also,

 Hello Ode,

Just trying to understand this a little bit more and thinking out loud...

I have a SG6 generator that uses flat strips of silver. If I bent the flat
strips (just a little) so the edges were slightly further away from each
other would that help to minimize the edge effects?

Also, could you expand a little on why we are interested in reducing edge
 effects?

 Thanks.

Hi folks,

Please keep in mind that this is not the venue in which to actively
educate on the topic of GMO contamination of the food supply, as
critical a topic as it is.

Let's remember not to discuss politics-related heads-up messages on the
main list... more than a teeny bit, okay? The OT list is available for
deeper exploration.

I hope Steve will see the comments and be motivated to examine the
topic further. There is a serious difference between using gene
splicing technology and traditional (and safe) hybridization methods,
both in the stability and safety of the results and in the outcomes
being designed for.

I have yet to hear anything convincing to counter the widespread
condemnation of terminator seeds and roundup ready crops, to name two
of the technologies at issue, that seems to be found everywhere except
in corporate media and government sources.

I'm open to being influenced, but I start from a position of being
fairly concerned about it.

Be well,

Now this is just me...
Anvil...reasonably clean...don't really worry about it...good to knock
off the surface rust, if any.

Come to think of it you don't even have to do this flattening thing at
all. I just wanted to make silver ribbons (narrow thin strips of
silver).
You could hacksaw strips out of the coins.
You could just use whole coins.

 I don't live in
Canada, but I suppose I could possibly get one over here in Europe.

Almost any coin dealer
or even ebay ie: http://tinyurl.com/ydbc29d for example.
Remember: one time initial investment.

 The part I
didn't quite understand was the last part, after you make a thinner sheet,
like cutting into the ribbon? and what's
 a tin snip?

A tinsnip is a heavy duty scissors designed for sheet metal cutting.
The tool clerk will know (and so will your husband).

 I also
don't know how thick the coin is to begin with, since all currencies have
their own sizes, and then how thin is too thin, and how thick should it not
 be.  I don't
know if it would make much of a difference.

If you pound it out to about 3 times its original diameter, it should
be easy enough to cut with the snips.
Not important the thickness, more important the workability.

haven't experimented with any of this stuff yet, and would like to learn from
those with experience, so I hope you won't
mind me asking, what might seem as mundane questions :-)

 Thanks in Advance!
 Aldi

Oh, you also mentioned, that they last longer than the wires or strips.
 Why would that be?

The coins are a full ounce. That's a lot of silver for CS.
This will last you forever...

Does it have anything to do with the total area, like
the larger it is, the better the energy is dispersed?

 And
I'm trying to think of what someone said about brewing in the sun and adding
something to it for the stirring motion?

That's Ode's idea.
A black area on the jar in the sun will heat higher/faster than the
rest of the area, starting a thermal difference and thus thermal
stirring.

Nasal flushing.
I've had great success using a mix of vit C and Bicarb. What I'm doing
is 2g ascorbic acid powder plus a teaspoonful of bicarb in a cup of warm
water. Stir well. I do many flushes at a time. use a 50ml syringe with a
short length of silicon tube and do one nostril, snort out, then the
other, over and and over til the cup is done. This is profoundly better
than doing one or two nostril flushes.

OK,

to do much against anything with a cover layer of mucous. Anyway I think
it should be an excellent adjunct and will use CS/EIS as the 'water' in
future. I think it was Brooks Bradley who instigated this idea of VitC
and Bicarb solution.

Hey, adding CS is worth a try if the sinus tissues are inflamed or
infected. It would be good to leave some silver soaked into the mucous,
just lurking about to zap any microbes that emerge. Maybe silver chloride
would be better here, I guess the silver chloride 'salt solution' may
penetrate the mucous better that plain CS? Anyone know? Someone said
silver chloride is only 1/10 effective compared to CS/EIS. Sodium
chloride solution would work well as a mucous penetrant.

I've also used a small amount of H2O2 added ( just enough to foam
slightly on the tongue). But the gains are small in my case, in terms of
heavy duty flushing out dust and mould . Should be good for controlling
infection.

Thinks: maybe a daily single flush of Vitc and Bicarb in CS with a few
drops of H2O2 and Xylitol would work well to keep the passages clean and
well maintained. Could add some DMSO to that too.

In my limited experience the least involved and most effective is VitC
and Bicarb weak warm solution for a cleanout. And it loosened old crusted
bloody scabby black stuff . But only after many flushes and blows.

OK,
Tony

 Tony,

Do you add any CS to the Vit.C/bicarb mixture?

  Hi Bob,

  Nasal flushing.
I've had great success using a mix of vit C and Bicarb. What I'm doing
is 2g ascorbic acid powder plus a teaspoonful of bicarb in a cup of warm
water. Stir well. I do many flushes at a time. use a 50ml syringe with a
short length of silicon tube and do one nostril, snort out, then the
other, over and and over til the cup is done. This is profoundly better
than doing one or two nostril flushes.

  OK,

What was the (I believe it was 2) CS that was good for injection.
How would one use CS for injection.
I am troubled by sinus infections from time to time.
The cs I take does not appear to get to my sius's.
I do use a Nebulizer with cs in it.
I breath in through mouth and out of nose.
When I am done my nose is wet from cs.
This also does not help my Sinus's.
I was wondering about injections of CS.
How much how often and what kind and why only certain
  Ones were for injection.
I usually get rid of problem with an antibiotic.
The nebulizer does help me with by problem of getting
  Chest colds or worse.
