You're right -- I was unclear. He tests before meals, meaning when 4-6 hours

his numbers would be higher than his AM numbers.

So the highest numbers are after eating, but the highest

Re: CSvanadium BS count

2003-04-29 Thread Sammark4
John, will she be getting medical treatment for her blood sugar levels any
time soon? Those numbers are pretty high.

My husband, who was diagnosed two years ago, didn't know he had diabetes
until one morning, against my wishes, he indulged in half dozen glazed
croissants for breakfast. We made a Wal-Mart run later that morning and he
started to get shakey and sweaty. I thought he was having an anxiety attack,
and asked him to see the doctor ASAP for treatment.

He went to Urgent Care a few days later, complaining of anxiety, and they
did some blood work on him to rule out physical factors. High blood glucose
count was over 300 and they told him to see his doctor right away.

Since he has been treated for the diabetes, he feels so much better. He
eats well because he has to, he has lost about 40 lbs, his color is good, and
he's so much healthier than before he was diagnosed.

Being dependent upon the Establishment medical community like we are
because of this is not my idea of a good time. But that's just the way it is
right now. I understand people's reluctance to get Establishment-medical
treatment -- I personally avoid doctors whenever possible -- but I am so
grateful he is being treated for the diabetes. When they finally got control
of his blood glucose, his other numbers improved greatly: triglycerides,
cholesterol, etc.

Hi Jean,

I'm not sure I follow you. Is this right: You didn't have gum flare ups
or sinus pain before you bought your 8 oz bottle and used it. You stopped
using the CS while waiting for your generator to arrive and your gums flared
up and your sinuses started hurting. And your question is, is it normal for
these things to happen once CS is stopped?

My experience with CS is that it helps most of what ails me, that in the
beginning it gave me a bit of a herx reaction (body struggling to detoxify as
a result of CS-killed micro-critters) but that nothing new that was bad ever
popped up after stopping use for any reason.

I can understand how stopping CS could allow a former ailment to resurface,
but for a new ailment to pop up after CS use (and then stopping) doesn't
sound like anything I've heard before.

Between batches of CS I use over-the-counter hydrogen peroxide to get the

peroxide comes in contact with every part of the inside of the glass, and
then I rinse 3X throughly with distilled water.

I use the peroxide to clean my silver wires too -- just let them roll

CSCurrent vs PPM question for Ole Bob

A few years ago you posted some numbers correlating the ppm
of the CS with certain current readings.

I lost track of your numbers, though I recall that with 1 1/2 inch

Re: CSRe:Making your own brew.............. help!!!!!!!!!!

2002-12-27 Thread Sammark4
Hi Kendra,

I don't use air bubbles, I just swish the CS-making glass every 15 minutes
or so to stir. I don't use a potentiometer either. I don't limit current.
Sometimes I clean the one cruddy electrode, and sometimes I don't. If I
don't, I filter the finished brew through a non-bleached coffee filter.

I do use an ampmeter. (My husband had a volt/amp meter around the house).
But before using it, I would cook my 12-16oz brew for about 1 1/2 hours. I
was told that I could never know the ppm of CS I was making that way, but I
trusted that if my CS came out clear or pale yellow, that it would be safe
and effective. Sometimes I probably ended-up with CS of less than 5 ppm in
strength, but I did benefit from it anyway.

Ole Bob, who used to post here, advised that if you know the amperage of
your brew, you'd know the concentration (ppm) of your colloidal silver.

Once my husband showed me how to use the ampmeter, I would stop my brew at
3.3 milliamps which Ole Bob advised would equal approximately 8-10ppm CS.

In short, everyone has a different way of making CS. Some refine the
process more meticulously than others ... but if you're using good quality
silver and good quality distilled water and your CS is either clear or pale
yellow/pale gold, it is my understanding that you will end up with safe and
effective CS.

I like the amperage testing method because I found that it really is true
that depending on atmospheric conditions and whatnot, the brew time to make
8-10 ppm CS (3.3 milliamps on the meter) varies considerably! From one day
to the next, the brew time to reach that amperage can vary up to 45 minutes.

But I ingested the CS brew I made when I was only timing it (not taking
amperage readings), and I benefitted from it, and am not blue! Oh, I've
never checked the Tyndal effect with a laser either. I rely on the color
more than anything. There's a lot I don't do that others here do, but I feel
confident about my end-product. I get the benefits others describe -- help
in fighting infections, etc., so I'm happy.

Laura

Re: CSRe:Making your own brew.............. help!!!!!!!!!!

2002-12-27 Thread Sammark4
Hi Kendra,

I'm sure there are plenty of CS users who don't read amperage and have other
ways of assessing the strength of a brew...? The point I was hoping to make
is that there are many ways to brew CS, as long as certain things (like salt
and tap water) are avoided, you'll find CS pretty user-friendly. I hope
you'll read other people's input before making any decisions -- it's just so
easy to get overwhelmed when new to CS, and I hope you'll be able to avoid
that.

As for the amp meter, I looked it up, and what my husband has is a
multimeter: it reads voltage, current (in amps) and resistance. Switch it
to the voltage side and you can check the strength of the batteries you're
using and know when they need to be replaced. Switch to the amp (current)
side and you can check the current of the brew. Starting current for the
distilled water I buy is usually about 0.20 milliamps. I want a 3.3 milliamp
CS solution, so I would cook my brew until the meter reads 0.20 + 3.3 =
3.53 milliamps.

If you decide to use this method, can you ask a relative, friend or neighbor
if they have one you can use? It might help to have someone help you figure
out how to use it, plus it's cheaper to borrow than to buy!

My husband's is a lot like this one:

http://www.gadgetscope.com/rsmeter.html

The one in the picture retails for $39.95, but there are several for sale
at eBay for much less.

ebay.com search multimeter.

No worries if your set-ups are a little different, these pictures really help

Re: CSMSM (mixed with Rx's?)

2002-12-21 Thread Sammark4
Dear Brooks,

One thing I haven't been able to puzzle out about either DMSO or MSM is if
they increase the power of drugs already in a person's system. My husband is
on many rx meds, yet could benefit from DMSO or MSM. But since I don't
understand if these would increase the potential of the drugs he takes daily,
I'm afraid to recommend DMSO/MSM for his surgical scars, sprains, etc. out of
fear that he might OD on his rx's. Thanks in advance if you can help me sort
this out.

The most obvious conclusion indicated by the

Re: CSMSM (mixed with Rx's?) thank you

2002-12-21 Thread Sammark4
Dear Brooks,

Thank you very much for explaining. Many people who are on prescription
drugs probably would also like to use DMSO specifically, so it's important to
know the possible effects.

I would like to use DMSO on my husband's back to soften his surgical scar
tissue and possibly help him avoid another surgery, but it's too risky with
all the meds he's on.

  Thanks again,

Laura

 Dear Laura,
In our past researches involving DMSO and MSM, we
 have
found that both have pronounced effect in INCREASING the potentcy of 95%
of
 the
systemically introduced drugs. DMSO routinely increased effectiveness of
 many
drugs by 4X and more..in in vivo protocols. MSM gave a reduced
multiplier-effect (less than 50% and sometimes even less), but was
 tolerated
for MUCH higher dosage levels, than was DMSO. We utilized DMSO in vivo
very
sparingly...primarily because of its very pronounced odiferous effects.
Additionally, DMSO capability for powerful entrainment of a majority of
 drug
substances..caused us concern for the SPEED of transfer throughout the
secondary circulation system. MSM, on the other hand, is much more benign
 in
that it is not an entrainment agentrelying primarily for its
 effectiveness
through its pronounced solubility and ability to enlarge/flush cell- wall
 pores.
We found no definable data establishing an advantage for DMSO or MSM for
providing the organic sulphur fraction necessary for proper human body
 health.
However, from a convenience consideration, plus secondary concerns of
entrainment, DMSO presents a dose-limiting restriction reduces its
appeal
 for
protocols inviting aggressive in vivo address.
A word of caution. Although less powerful in the
multiplier effect than DMSO, MSM can on occasion generate multiplier
 effect of
4X..under certain combination with specific drug substances.
MSM is, probably, one of the most benign
substances,
relative to human health function, which we have ever evaluated.
For topical employment, DMSO demonstrated to be
 markedly
superior to MSMin ALL applications we evaluated-and most
especially
 in
cases involving arthritis of an articulating joint.
 Sincerely, Brooks Bradley.

Hi -- I can't comment on the cloudiness, but I've been reading up on DMSO
lately and understand that a 70% solution of DMSO mixed with (distilled?)
water is optimal for most uses. If you were using full strength, that might
account for the level of burning you felt. The DMSO, when mixed with water,
will likely get warm. That's to be expected. Also, if a rash develops
anywhere on the body OTHER than where it is applied, that could indicate a
possible allergic reaction, and DMSO use should be discontinued. Allergic
reactions are rare, according to the books I'm reading. You should expect a
funny taste in your mouth after using DMSO: some describe it as an
oyster-like taste or a garlic taste.

Source: Bush to announce plan for smallpox vaccinations
From Elizabeth Cohen and Ann Curley
CNN
Tuesday, November 26, 2002 Posted: 9:24 AM EST (1424 GMT)

excerpts

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush is expected to announce a plan in the next
few weeks to protect 500,000 health workers by vaccinating them against
smallpox, an administration source said.

...The total number vaccinated in that first round is expected to be about a
half-million people, the official said. People in that group would be those
at the greatest risk of occupational exposure, such as emergency room
workers, infectious disease specialists and intensive care workers.

The second round would be available to 7 million to 10 million first
responders -- health care workers, firefighters, police and other emergency
crews.

Members of the general public who wish to receive the vaccine could
participate in clinical trials. The administration official said authorities
don't believe there is a sufficient risk at this time of a smallpox attack to
warrant recommending a general vaccination for the public.

the
 apparent scare tactics.

 Thanks if you can help,
 Laura
 --

 Stan Jones' FAQ:

Here's my standard response. I think it answers most of your
 questions.

Don't stop what you're doing. Colloidal silver has been so completely
researched that we know it is very safe. Many people don't see any
difference in my skin. This news blast started because a reporter who
saw me in a debate in Great Falls, Montana interviewed me and
published a story with a doctored photo (made my face decidedly blue).
The associated press picked the story up and put it all on the
 Internet.

 To answer your questions:

 1) I use a generator with three nine-volt batteries connected in
 series (27 volts D.C.);

 2) I started taking colloidal silver in Seattle where the tap water
is generally free from minerals. I added a few drops of salt water to
improve the conductivity. When I moved to Montana 1998, I continued to
use tap water but here it is full of minerals. I never had it tested.

 3) I made my solution in an eight ounce paper cup, conducting the
current for one hour. I then added one half of this solution to two
gallons of drinking water that I kept in my refrigerator. I have no
idea what the PPM of this solution was.

 4) I drank my water over the entire day , but mostly in the evening
after work. I have no idea how much I drank during any day.

 5) I never filtered the solution.

 6) People began to tell me my complexion was getting pale or
green or blue. I never noticed the difference in my mirror every
day. I did notice that under my finger nails was turning blue -- like
a lack of oxygen. That's probably the first sign. No other part of my
 body shows any indications.

I hope this is helpful. I know that I am an unusual case -- only the
second or third case to be reported. If you are as careful as you
indicate, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. Stay healthy.
You are with millions of other Americans that take silver. Here's a
good web site to visit www.silver100.com.

 Best wishes

Yours for good health and freedom

Stan Jones, Libertarian Candidate for the U.S. Senate

enter the cell to replicate so easily and the viral load will drop.

Conversely, infection of all types is increased in the presence of low

The supplement should be taken with selenium for best result. Selenium
taken at the high dose of 800-1100 mcg even by itself (short term) has

how helpful Laetrile and amygdalin can be, but also about how dangerous and

His cancer metasticized and they removed the lower right lobe of his lung a

According to what I've read, his chances for five year survival are roughly
7%. I doubt that's what his physicians are telling him, though. It is very

Re: CSPlease help - never been so sick on 8oz CS treating Lyme

2002-10-23 Thread Sammark4
Dear Kevin,

I am far from an expert but I didn't have lyme (or any serious illness that
I knew of) when I started CS and I started with just a few teaspoons per day
and I had a herx reaction.

Please stop or cut down your CS intake until the herx reaction subsides or
stabilizes. 8 oz is too much to start with for anyone, in my view. A
person's reaction should be tested slowly at first. Very slowly.

There are the plain issues in conflict here. Stan does look like that or

The problem here is the same problem that often occurs... Those who feel
threatened begin by striking back; they enter attack mode. This in turn
sets a tide in motion that results in end confusion.

Stan Jones has Argyria. If there are differences in the photographic
display of the images, there could be several reasons, most of them likely
non-intentional, including what color profile was used to digitally render
  the images.

It's just like the incorrect story that STILL floats around about
Rosemary... Stating that some diabolical scheme was put into place,
including the rendering of images... When the truth is: The Argyria
condition was severely aggrevated when some uneducated doctor decided that
perhaps dermabrasion would cure the condition... Dermabrasion being
similiar
to taking sand paper and removing layers of the skin.

The diabolical story is repeated here, as it is on the news: people like
sensationalism, people like power, and people like attention.

Nothing gets one's attention like a good conspiracy theory... However, the
truth is, again, that the real conspiracies are seamless, well-thought out,
and unbreachable. The amauteurish stuff? Fear not the truth... The truth
catches up with those who enjoy the games for the sake of ego. Let these
types of people be handled by those who are trained to do so. Those who
are
trained to do so know how to go about doing it without destroying
everything
  along the way.

Fighting ignorance with ignorance is ill-advised.

Just like one doesn't have to be afraid of the truth, one doesn't have to
be
afraid of the lies... When one studies truth for long enough, not only
does
one discover how much one doesn't -- and cannot! -- know, but one discovers
how impotent the lies truly are. The power of lies is executed through
those who believe them, not the lies themselves. People are conditioned to
accept lies. Don't fight the lies, fight the conditioning.

There is either a desire to know the truth, a desire to believe the lies,
or
  a lack of caring...

Beating confusion means accepting when one walks in the unknown. This
means
relinquishing a bit of control. Those who need to be in control also have
a
need to be controlled. The fear becomes too great, the power too
demanding.
The unknown elements become paralysing. Thus is the unwise ruler ruled.

Confusion is paralysing. This is the one principle one really needs to
grasp to understand how large populations are nuetralized. Whether or not
there are those shouting the truth from roof-tops is irrelevant. If there
is enough confusion generated, the confusion will prevent action.

To overcome confusion where the truth is displayed in blinding clarity?
Screaming louder doesn't work. Another scientific study... doesn't work.

  Attraction works.

Where you really want to focus your attention is reaching those who have
the
desire for the truth... You can't be doing two things at one time.
Someone
who is seeking the truth will not be attracted to the ensuing fight of the
idea sellers -- those trying to convince those who could care less,or those
who want to believe the lies because they are too afraid to accept some
  personal responsiblity.

The truth is often lost in the conflict.

There are those who would like to state that we know the absolute truth
about Argyria. We have mounting evidence, but we do not have the absolute
truth. What we do have is threshold levels that have been scientifically
established with relative certainty. Whether or not isolated
electro-colloidal silver exceeds this maximum intake, like many of us
suspect, and how much it can exceed the threshold levels, has not been
  established.

To claim that is has been established is an insult to the very thing that
some are trying to stand for: The truth.

This claim sets to stone confusion. The interested party becomes confused,
because they are trying to believe propaganda. It is very hard to make a
distinction between two equally shared lies.

It's the same thing with hydrogen peroxide. Those seeking the truth will
find it. The journey in finding the truth will teach them how to safely
use
it. In the end, there will be no fear, nor confusion. The iteration is
the
same: The desire drives the interest -- the caring -- the caring becomes
  more

1) I use a generator with three nine-volt batteries connected in
series (27 volts D.C.);

Senate

4-Year-Old Fights for More Than His Life

A HREF=http://www.cbn.org/Newsstand/stories/000504.asp;FDA, Friend orFoe?:
4-Year-Old Fights for More Than His Life/A

http://www.cbn.org/Newsstand/stories/000504.asp

By Joie Munda and Ken Hulme
May 4, 2000

-- EXCLUSIVE -- A young boy fights for his life from an aggressive form of
brain cancer. Has the FDA become his worst enemy?

People continue to protest over Elian Gonzales. Why is it that no one is
fighting over Thomas Navarro?

Thomas is the 4-year-old son of Arizona parents Jim and Donna Navarro. He has
medulloblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Recently doctors
operated on the young boy to remove a golf ball size tumor. Without
additional treatment, Thomas will die.

What would you do if you were Thomas’ parents? Worse still, what you do if
your child were suddenly struck with this fatal form of brain cancer?

As his young life hangs in the balance, vital questions have emerged for
Thomas’ parents, and by implication for the nation:

1. Which cancer treatments are best:

The prescribed Food and Drug Administration (FDA) treatment of radiation and
chemotherapy, with their dramatic and debilitating side effects?
Or an experimental treatments (approved in FDA trials) with an high success
rates and no known side effects?
2. Who has the right to decide which treatment is best for this 4 year old—or
any child with medical options: the parents and their doctor, or the
government?

3. Is the FDA always right in its policies and practices?

The Recommended Treatment

When Thomas was diagnosed with brain cancer in September of 1999, not
surprisingly, his parents were devastated. But within days, surgeons had
successfully removed the cancerous growth. As a follow-up, they recommended
an aggressive cocktail of radiation and chemotherapy, a course typical for
this type of cancer.

Medulloblastoma takes just 45 weeks to grow a second tumor. If the first one
has been removed, the second one is fatal unless the patient undergoes this
type of salvage therapy, as one study calls radiation treatment in children
Thomas’ age.

Initially, Jim was willing to trust doctors with the next step in his child’s
care. But, he soon became skeptical when no one would talk to him about what
Thomas’ condition would be like after chemotherapy and radiation. And doctors
were not willing to show the Navarros any survival reports of
medulloblastoma.

That’s when the Navarros learned some shocking news!

Every patient, which doctors have treated with radiation and chemo at his
son’s age, was 'either crippled or dead,' says Donna Navarro.

When Jim wanted to know the ingredients of the chemotherapy, the doctor said,
You don’t need to know. That's when, Our first red flag went up, says
Jim.

Later, Jim was assured by the radiologist that the side effects would be
manageable. He had listed skin redness, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, and loose
stools and had me sign it, says Jim. The doctor leaves the room. About 10
minutes later he comes back and says, Oh, Dad, by the way, I forgot. He’ll
also have fluid on the middle ear, hearing loss, memory loss,
hyperthyroidism, low level hormones, spinal growth deficit,
hyper-pituitarianism, secondary tumors, cerebral necrosis, and he went on
down the list. Thomas’ doctors were unavailable for comment.

The Journal of Clinical Oncology confirms the Navarros' fears. In a December
1999 study by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, all patients lost
cognitive function during and after [radiation] therapy.

In fact, the summary went on to state that all patients treated in this
fashion…with salvage radiation therapy…have significant neuropsychologic
deficits [including a significant loss in IQ]. Our experience demonstrates
that medulloblastoma in infancy is a curable disease, albeit at significant
cost.

Suddenly, Jim and Donna realized their son could become an invalid, requiring
a lifetime of care.

Searching for an Answer

As they began to turn a deaf ear to the radiologists, Jim and Donna worked
feverishly to find a solution.

Using the Internet, they spent thousands of hours becoming experts on their
son’s condition. They also made friends through online chat rooms with other
families in similar straits. There they also learned of a clinic in Houston,
Texas, that had been approved by the FDA to do clinical studies for certain
types of cancer.

Would this clinic provide the answer?

Then, the unthinkable happened. Because the Navarros were unwilling to submit
their son to traditional FDA approved treatments, doctors finally turned the
family over to child protective services.

The Navarros decided to flee the state. They’ve been living in a hotel in
Houston for the past six months.

There they located Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski, a medical doctor and cancer
researcher. The Navarros found Burzynski to be candid about his successes –
introducing them to a thriving young man in college, a cancer

Diane, I agree. It was shocking to read that the doctors called
protective services when the parents refused the chemo and radiation for
their son. And the Polish doctor from Texas who provides alternative
treatment has been harassed beyond measure, though the article didn't mention

Drug-resistant tuberculosis threatens millions
By Debra Watson

Back to screen version

The super-deadly strains of drug-resistant tuberculosis that killed 500 people
in New York City in the early 1990s are now turning up in alarming numbers in
the underdeveloped countries.

Each year over 2 million people, mostly poor, die from the disease. Just 22
countries, designated high burden countries, account for 80 percent of the
world's tuberculosis cases. These include China, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan,
Indonesia, Russia and the Philippines. Of new TB cases, fully 95 percent are in
the underdeveloped world.

One third of the people in the world are believed to carry the tuberculosis
microbe. Of the estimated 2 billion infected, one in ten are expected to
develop active tuberculosis at some time in their lives. The bacterial
infection can live for years in its host, causing chronic debilitation, and is
often fatal. Drug treatment has been available for over 50 years that can
easily kill susceptible strains of the bacteria, yet even at a cost of $10 per
patient in the underdeveloped world, treatment remains out of reach for
millions.

It costs $5,000 per patient to treat the new drug-resistant strains and
multidrug-resistant strains are often incurable even with modern antibiotics.
Drug resistance is a wholly man-made phenomenon. Selective mutation of the
microbe burden in a host results from inadequate or intermittent drug supply
for the patient or from the misuse of available anti-tuberculosis drugs.
Health workers fear that the high cost of treating drug-resistant strains will
be impossible in countries already reeling from several epidemics of infectious
disease as well as social and political factors such as war, massive poverty
and inequality and economic crisis.

Our biggest worry is that drug-resistant TB will also begin increasing in
other developing countries, said Dr. David Heymann, executive director of
Communicable Diseases for the World Health Organization (WHO). North America
and Europe may have the billions of dollars required to contain this emergency.
The worst affected countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America do not, Heymann
added. During the five years of the New York City epidemic it cost over $1
billion to treat approximately 3,800 patients and to contain further spread of
the deadly strains in the US.

WHO estimates 50 million people worldwide are already infected with drug-
resistant tuberculosis. There are several “hot spots” in the world where
multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) makes up more than 3 percent of new
TB cases. Growing numbers of drug-resistant tuberculosis cases apparently are
being contracted directly through breathing the same air as a person already
sick from a resistant strain. Researchers believe a person with TB infects
another 10 to 15 people each year he remains ill.

In Estonia nearly 37 percent of new TB cases were resistant to at least one
drug. Resistance to all four drugs tested was 8.5 percent among new
tuberculosis patients there and the country also had the highest level of MDR-
TB of any area of the world in TB patients who had never before been
treated—14.1 percent. MDR-TB is defined as resistance to at least the drugs
Isoniazid and Rifampicin.

MDR-TB in new cases was also found in large numbers in Henan province in China,
10.8 percent and Latvia, 9 percent. In Russia in Ivanovo Oblast it was also 9
percent and in Tomsk Oblast it was 6.5 percent, well above the global median of
1 percent. Iran also had high levels, 5.8 percent of new tuberculosis cases
were resistant to at least two drugs.

Estonia is also a documented example of increasing levels of drug resistance.
In 1998 the percentage of patients with MDR-TB who had been previously treated
for tuberculosis was 37.8 percent, up from 19.2 percent in 1994.

Anti-tuberculosis drug-resistance in the world, Report No. 2 follows up on a
1997 report from WHO and the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung
Disease. Researchers now warn that unchecked epidemics in underdeveloped
countries will spill over into more affluent countries. Already in the earlier
report they documented cases of MDR-TB in every one of 35 geographical areas
surveyed between 1994 and 1996, and on every continent.

Transnational tuberculosis, spread across the world in human hosts via global
travel, is suspected as the cause of rising drug-resistant TB and the more
dangerous multidrug-resistant TB in Europe and other countries with few overall
cases. In Germany and Denmark the percentage of TB patients resistant to a
single drug has increased by 50 percent since 1996. It doubled in one year in
New Zealand. Germany is currently treating over 100 cases of MDR-TB.

Re: CSProducing CS using HVAC/ Ivan

2000-04-27 Thread Sammark4
Hey Ivan,

I've been following this thread with some interest. I have a comment and a
question below..

In a message dated 4/26/00 10:43:33 AM Central Daylight Time, i...@win.co.nz
writes:

Are you saying that the reaction,

   2AgNO3 + H2O2 Ag2O + 2HNO3

would not go to the right? Why not?

No, I am saying that (although I don't think that reaction is
balanced or a redox reaction) :

You're correct - the equation isn't balanced. I fiddled with it for quite
awhile and couldn't rig it. The only reaction I could find that referred to
silver nitrate and peroxide also included sodium hydroxide. A book reference
said that AgO2 is usually prepared by adding a strong, hot solution of AgNO3
to one of KOH.

  2Ag + H2O2 + 2H+ --- 2Ag+ + 2H2O

will occur, E(cell) 0.977V, and K 1.15^33 (high amount of product and
  fast reaction)

Where does the 2H+ in the reaction come from? From the small amount of
free-floating H+ ions in any solution of H2O?

Thanks,
Samantha

5)Why does CS harm bacteria and virus but not harm human cells...

  Dear Rob,

I found an explanation on one website that coincides with what I
understand about the mechanism of CS. There is a lot of good information
there, but please keep in mind that the statements are not always sourced,
and that the website is in the business of selling their product. Here's the
quote:

The presence of Colloidal Silver near a virus, fungus, bacterium or any
other single celled pathogen disables its oxygen metabolism enzyme, its
chemical lung, so to say. Within a few minutes, the pathogen suffocates and
dies and is cleared out of the body by the immune, lymphatic and elimination
systems.

Unlike pharmaceutical antibiotics which destroy beneficial enzymes, Colloidal
Silver leaves these tissue-cell enzymes intact as they are radically
different from the enzymes of primitive single-celled life. Thus Colloidal
Silver is absolutely safe for humans, reptiles, plants and all multi-celled
living matter.

The apple cider vinegar I bought at the grocery store doesn't say if it's
raw or not. Do I assume it is because if it were distilled, it would be
white?

  Where can I get one?
  Ron

The device is manufactured by Sunbong Trading Company, C.P.O. Box 4063,
Seoul, Korea, Tel 753-4841 The product is the Super Ion-Q, IW-501. This
is the info that came with the box, and the box is OLD!!
Please don't take this info as a recommendation on my part because I
don't know if it works yet!
Some of you may be able to take this info to your local Korean Food Store
and see if they can order it for you. For others who would like my source to
ship it .
The store owner said she could send these UPS for under $10 shipping (US,
I presume). Mine came to $63.13 with tax (without shipping, duh). She
wanted me to tell her how many of my friends wanted one so she could place
the order and give me an estimate of the time involved. But it won't be fair
to her if I tell her a certain number and some don't want it when they
arrive, so I'll clear it with her tomorrow to have those of you interested
contact her directly and secure the payment arrangements or whatever.
I've listed the names below of 4-5 people I'm pretty sure of who want
more info. Private email me if I should add anyone else's name. I think we
should take this topic off-list now.

Re: CSCalcium deposits/water ionizer?/bought one

1999-07-12 Thread Sammark4
In a message dated 99-07-12 01:35:01 EDT, you write:

I found a water ionizer at a Korean Food Store for $59. The
box says one side of the machine (which looks somewhat like a
coffee maker) makes acidic water and the other makes
alkaline. Would this be a good thing to have? Sound like a
good price? I can research this, I just thought I'd ask here
   first. Thanks.
   Samm

The only one I have seen is over $1,000 bucks, so
either this is a GREAT deal, or it is junk.

I bought one today. It runs on 120V, looks like a big coffee maker and
has two compartments -- one on the left and one on the right -- separated by
a diaphragm that is white and porous and leaves a chalky substance on the
fingers when rubbed. On the acidic side, there are two long electrodes,
about 1/3 diameter made of ferrite. On the alkaline side, there are two
made of stainless steel. The machine has a four liter capacity and makes PH
alkaline between 9-10 in about 10-15 minutes. A phenylthaline (sp?) solution
was supposed to have been enclosed for testing PH but the little bottle was
empty.
The only thing that for sure didn't work was the water spout! I made the
ionized water and depressed the alkaline knob to get water from the spout and
nothing happened. Same on the other side. I emptied the water and looked
underneath. There was a lock knob for each spout. I turned them to unlock
and tried the tab levers again. The plastic pieces that they move to press
and release the water both broke. It's as if the plastic is ancient. I
mentioned before that this ionizer and another were both collecting dust in
the shop.
I plan to return the device tomorrow and try the other one. If it is
ancient too, I'll ask them to order a new one. They said they can order
more. It appears to be a nice, well-made machine.. just old. The spout
mechanisms appear to be the weakest link in the chain. So, does this sound
like a real water ionizer? I have no experience with them whatsoever.
