problem!

2005-03-04 Thread Cees

Het is vrijdag 4 maart 2005 en 23:50:34 uur :

Hallo tbbeta,

I'm having a major problem sending mails with attachment. They just don't
arrive. I've found out that these are causing problem at the mail-server
that is trying to send it, and resend it and million times. Mails
without attachment apparently do NOT have this problem.
Since I also work for a couple of non-profit organizations I DO have to
send images on a regular basis (relocation of pets) so... if this could be
fixed on short notice I'd be EVER so grateful!
Btw, this concerns JPG images. Word documents for some reason do NOT cause
  this behavior.

  Thanks.

Filter problem

2009-07-06 Thread Stuart Cuddy
Hello all ,

I have a filter that I activate manually. It has worked for at least 2 years on
the currently highlighted message. In this version it not only acts on the
message that is highlighted, but on the one above it as well. (As if you held
the combination of keys too long)

This filter exports the message to a text file and has two sub-filters. The
first creates an automatic reply and the second moves the original message to a
different folder.

In order to test this I created a new filter. I did it one step at a time.
Export step - Resulted in the same message being exported twice instead of just
once.
Automatic Reply - Same result as above with 2 messages being sent to the
same
address.
Move to a different folder - Resulted in the original scenario. The current
message and the previous message are both exported, two replies to the two
messages and 2 messages moved.

This is extremely odd and very dangerous. I have copied my newly created filter
below. It should work with the only modification needed being a to the
folder the files are moved to.

Try out on some test messages. By removing the check mark from step 3 you
should be able to see the other result I was getting as well.

Filter Problem?

2013-02-07 Thread Steven P Vallière

I've been noticing that message from one particular sender
are often sent to the junk folder instead of going where
the filter that matches both the subject and the sender
(though the filter is set to the OR of either one.) This
doesn't ALWAYS happen, but it has been happening often
enough that I need to ask a question:

What happens first: Filtering or Junk Checking?

I have the Regula anti-spam plug-in and, overall, have
been very happy with it, so this is more of a curiosity
than a problem. I think I can correct it by adding the
automated account that sends me the daily report that is
having trouble to my address book (and thereby whitelisting
it for the anti-spam plug-in.)

I'm still curious about the order of evaluation, though.

It certainly /looks/ like the anti-spam is run BEFORE any
of my filters. I wonder if it would be possible (and useful)
to be able to have the anti-spam and anti-virus plug-ins
listed in the filters so that we could move some of our own
special exceptions before or after them?

Restore problem

2007-04-08 Thread Maurice Snellen
Listmembers:

I'm not sure if this is a beta issue, but here goes:

I accidently set my auto-backup to only backup folders with messages and
nothing else. Last week disaster struck and I got into a situation where
no version of TB! would launch against my OTFE copy of my mailbox.

I decided to try and do a restore, but ran into the problem that the
restore would almost immediately notify me of success without doing much
of anything. If any mail was restored at all, it was just my Inbox and
Sent Items, but none of the other folders.

Can anyone confirm that the Restore function doesn't restore the folder
structure from a 'folders with messages' only back-up when you try to
restore to an empty account?

Eventually I had to do a restore from a full mailbox restore I made
about a year ago, but I am sure that all folders created by me since
that back-up are missing from my system now, even after restoring the
'folders with messages' only back-up into the resulting mailbox.

Vista problem?

2007-10-25 Thread Gunivortus Goos
Hi,

since I use Windows Vista, TB can't called from any
mailto link in other applications. It happens quite
often in Internet Explorer where, after writing a
message online, the default emailclient is used to
send the message.
Every time I get the message:
Could not perform this operation because
the default mail client is not properly
installed.
Of course I have set in Vista TB as my default mailclient
with all options checked, so mailto links too.

Is this is Vista or a TB problem?
Is there a way to solve it, except for setting Windows Mail
as default client?

CC problem

2008-07-01 Thread Vili
You have to help me out here. User reported a problem, I reproduced
and I am in trouble too :))

So:
- backup your HKCU/Software/RIT key first :)
- set to show CC always
- pull up the divider between the details and the processes in CC, so
you dont see the processes anymore
- ask to download mails for one of your account
- after this, you cannot pull down the divider between the processes
and the details (server, status, time), even if the cursor shows that
you drag onto the divider...

I think, the RIT/The bat!/CC columns key stores the info how the CC
should look like, but it is binary... Can someone send me this key in
private? Thanks.

I have this problem from... I dont know... v3.9 or so. When I open

- resize the window
or
- click in the Scheduler panel on the left and after on the SmartBat

the tabs appear.

This is a problem for me with the newest version as well.

I know, that nobody else saw this problem, so I made a video about it,
you can see at: http://www.macasoft.hu/Maxim/2008-09-07-14-24-38.mpg

Any help what to try? I dont want to reinstall Voyager (I tried a

When you send the jpg have you noticied if the sent size of the Email
actually shows it being sent? eg, its too big not to include it? I
just sent myself to another account a jpg, and the size out was 20k,
which for the blank msg + img was about right.

It also arrived. One thing I may have done you may not is that I have

Sounds like something things they are bad.. Check the Anti Virus

Well if the size is saying it sent it, it sent it in some format,
something else must be going on. Its either not properly encodeding
it, or, something else is at fault.

I was thinking of the scanning directly in thebat, not an external

However, if the size of your sent msg actually going (eg, in the log)
says its got the pic in it, it can realistically boil down to an
encoding issue.

Scheduler Problem

2006-08-31 Thread Stuart Cuddy
Hello tbbeta,

I am trying to send myself a message to remind me to change a paypal
amount. The code generated by paypal is as follows:

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_xclick&business=person%40onetwothree%2eca&item_name=PAM%20Active%20Membership%20%2d%20NEW%20%28Oct%20%2706%20to%20June%20%2707%29&amount=45%2e00&no_shipping=2&cn=Member%20Comments¤cy_code=CAD&lc=CA&bn=PP%2dBuyNowBF&charset=UTF%2d8

I pasted this into a message that scheduler would send me at the end
of the month, which it did.

Unfortunately the message I actually received was as follows:

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_xclick&business=person&item_name=PAM&amount=45&no_shipping=2&cn=Member¤cy_code=CAD&lc=CA&bn=PP&charset=UTF

You'll notice it is much shorter and missing information. For
example [EMAIL PROTECTED] was the email address, but in the
second one the onetwothree.ca part is missing altogether.

Any idea what is going on here. If someone could test it, by
copying the first URL and sending it in a message to yourself using
scheduler I would appreciate it. I think you need to send it to a
second email account to make it work. BTW if you send it to
yourself in another email it works as it should.

Filtering problem...

2004-12-22 Thread Thorvald Neumann
Hæ!

Yesterday, my spam filter did not filter a couple of spam mails. I
have no idea why. Those messages are not filtered from my inbox, "Test
Filters" shows my filter should be working.

My spam filter is the last filter in a chain of filters and looks
like this:

 TB! Message Filter
beginFilter
UID: [564C1620.01C4B05E.1A441C3F.7FE14B3D]
Name: SPAM
Filter: {\0D\0A\20`7`X-Text-Classification`0`junk\0D\0A1`2`0`[SPAM]\0D\0A}
MoveMessage folder \5C\5C\5C$JUNK$
MarkRead
SetColour 226723330
IsActive
Ignore
IsSendQueue
endFilter

Serverside filtering works as intended and adds the tag [SPAM] to the
subject line and K9 correctly adds the X-Text-Classification marker
"junk".

Any ideas why the filter does not move the mails to the junk folder?
Other spam mails are filtered correctly.

Or is this a bug?

weird problem

1999-11-30 Thread Martin van Soest

Hello TBBETA,

I ran into a weird problem. Weird in the sense that a friend is not
  bothered by this:

When I select text from a message, the line just dissapears. This is
only the case if I select text from a line which is quoted (with >).

  This is what I do:

  1) I open a message containing some quoted text. Something like:

> This was written by someone else.

2a) I move the mousecursor to the start of the line and start
dragging to a position somewhere mid-sentence (to and including
  'written' for example).
What will happen is: '>This was written' will dissappear.

2b) I move the mousecursor to the start of the line and start
dragging to the end of the line.
What will happen is: the line will be selected as normal.

2c) I move the mousecursor to the end of the line and start
dragging to a position somewhere mid-sentence (to and including
  'by' for example).
What will happen is: the selected text will be highlighted as
expected, but everything in front of the selection will dissappear.

2d) I move the mousecursor to the end of the line and start
dragging to the start of the line.
What will happen is: the line will be selected as normal.

2e) When I select multiple quoted lines, the same problems as
  described above will occur.

Ok, although the text disappears I am still able to copy the
selected text and to 'get it back' by deselecting. This problem also
occurred with me with version 1.36 and some other 1.38 beta.
When writing a message, the disappearing happens as well and show
  similar behaviour.

Another problem I ran into (don't know which version that was, it
is fixed in the 1.38/4, but it can't be that long ago since I am not
using The Bat! very long): when I was editing a message and my
mousecursor was at the start of the line (by pressing the Home-key)
(perhaps it was the end of the line (End)) and I pressed the
Right-Mouse-Button-Key on my keyboard, I got some weird
  Access-Violation error.

I hope I was clear in describing my problem. Some specs of my system:
  - P200MMX
  - Diamond Stealth 3D 2240 Pro with 2MB
  - 96MB of memory

Martin

Intpack problem

2002-02-28 Thread marcus

Hello tbbeta,

When installing the international pack strange things happen to my
dictionaries. I choosed to add Swedish, English and German
dictionaries and so far everything worked as it should.

However, when I first tried to use one of the internal dictionaries it
is greyed out and no spell checking is done. This applies to all
dictionaries above the line (i.e. all internal dictionaries). When
choosing another language I can't go back again, the former language
is still greyed out.

I don't know if this is a beta issue or not, but I have only tried the
intpack on 1.54 beta 41 running on a W2K Pro SP2-machine.

Problem installing v4.1.5

2008-12-23 Thread Robin Anson
TBBETAs,

I downloaded the latest version from the Ritlabs download page, v 4.1.5 and
installed it over my v 4.0.38. It seemed to install correctly, and it
correctly updated 4 of my 5 accounts. However one account seemed to have
lost all the old mails and only have the ones downloaded with this latest
version.

Each time I started TB! I also got an error message saying something like it
had found old index files and that this seemed to indicated an older version
had been run since the new version had been installed. I'm afraid I can't
remember the exact wording.

Fortunately I had done a backup before installing the new version and was
able to restore my previous set of data and version 4.0.38.

Anyone got any ideas what went wrong??

Problem with deletion?

2009-01-12 Thread Roger Phillips
Hello All,

In the message window which appears if I click on the 'Reply' icon when a
message is in focus, and then there is some of the original message text
which I want to delete, I highlight the text to be deleted and then do one
of the following:

1. If I use Ctrl+X, the block of text is deleted.

2. If I right-click on the block of text and then click on 'Delete' in the
context menu, the block of text is deleted.

 3. If I merely click the delete icon, only the letter following the
 selected text is deleted.

 4. If the selected text is a complete line and I click on delete icon then
only the whole of the following line is deleted.

Can anyone confirm situations 3 or 4?

If you can confirm, then do you know if they are working as designed?

Message sending problem.

2009-06-02 Thread David Elliott
Hello tbbeta,

I keep getting a problem sending messages.

It goes like this.

Get messages via pop.
Read messages and hit reply to all
save the messages.
Go back to the out box and finish replying.
put the messages back into the out box (not as draft)

The message then stick in the out box and it never seams to get seme. I have
to open it back up and then sent the time delay to ensure it get sent.

I have had this for a number of beta's.

I will keep on testing this to ensure that I still have the problem.

[v5]: Filter Problem

Hello TBBETA Members!

I mentioned before that some filters don't work correctly, i.e. my
rule to put server-side marked spam directly into the universal Junk

  Buzz notifications.

for the latter I found that the filter works partially: it puts the
messages in the account Trash but does not mark them read although

Hi TBBETA

What I did with an IMAP account:

1. Set a new folder under INBOX
2. Set a new filter - filter message with found header string - move

3. Re-filter the INBOX
4. After some messages found filtering stopped. When I re-start
re-filtering when process finds a message it stops - but there are plenty of
message to move

Something seems not to work.

Junk checking happens first. Cannot be altered.

However, what you can do, is make your spam filter add a header (or
add something to the subject), but not drop it to the junk folder.
And configure the sorting office to move everything with that spam
header to your junk folder.
You should place that spam filter in your sorting in such a way that
addresses with lots of false positives get filtered before your spam
filter gets activated.
Unfortunately I don't know for sure whether this is possibe with your

Thanks, that's what I needed to know. Maybe my suggestion
for allowing the user to choose where in the filtering sequence
junk (and virus) checking occurs will be considered...

I just checked the config and there's no option for header
modification. BUT it does have its own filter rules where
I could mark specific header values (just like TB!'s filters)
as always being SPAM or HAM.

BUT...

Today it was all of the new messages from this group (TBBETA)
that landed in the Junk mail folder. Even the one I posted.
Something is definitely wrong. TBBETA messages have been
filtered correctly for *YEARS* with virtually zero false
positives for junk. It is almost infinitely unlikely that
ALL of the messages from yesterday would be considered junk.

All of my other filters (including TBUSER) are still working
correctly today. I'm thinking that my question actually
belongs in the "Incoming message filtering stopped working??"

I should note that this behavior is what I saw during the

and now the TBBETA message are being filtered correctly again.

So it seems that TheBat! is now doing different things for me

Problem signing messages

2006-10-14 Thread Claude Renaud
Hi All,

I just requested a certificate from Dekart and have problem to use
it with TB 3.86.02.
When I try to sign/encrypt message with my certificate I receive the
following message :
"The certificate is invalid. Please use another certificate.
The revocation status of the certificate or one of the certificates in the
certificate chain is unknown.
The revocation status of the certificate or one of the certificates in
the certificate chain is either off-line or stale.".

And after, I tried to do the same thing with Outlook express and there
no problem signing or encrypting, but when I retrieve those messages
sent with outlook express, in tb the signature appears invalid ...
What's wrong ?

3.96.01 %Text% Problem

2007-02-03 Thread Stuart Cuddy
Hello tbbeta,

I receive messages that are generated by a webform that show up in
my inbox looking like the example below:

John, Doe, Box 131, Ottawa, ON, R0R 0R0, [EMAIL PROTECTED]

When this message arrives I have a manual filter set that exports
the message to a text file. It uses the following macro:

  %TEXT%-

In past versions of The Bat! it would always paste exactly what you
see above. But in 3.96.01 it pastes the following into the text
  file.

  J o h n , D o e , B o x 1 3 1 , O t t a w a , O N , etc.

In other words a space between each character. Could someone please
confirm before I add it to bugtrack?

Voyager activation problem

2007-05-21 Thread Vili
I just had a user who experienced problems with the activation of
Voyager. He did everything okay, but he still got the following error
message in Internet Explorer when he pressed the Fetch key button:

"ERROR Text string is too long (should not exceed 250 characters)"

I tried with his reg. key (put his USB stick's Volume ID in the link),
no problem at me.

As we finally figured out, the problem was that he used Internet
Explorer v7, I used IE6. IE7 replaces the final = (equation) character
in the link that points to the secure Ritlabs site when you press the
Fetch key with %3D, the ascii code of the character "=".

In my browser:
https://support.ritlabs.com/...&TokenSernum=NTFS-&KeyBlock=AW...Yy0=

in his IE7 browser:
https://support.ritlabs.com/...&TokenSernum=NTFS-&KeyBlock=AW...Yy0%3D

So, conclusion: IE6, Firefox can be used to get the Activation key,
IE7 does not... Maybe Ritlabs should change something how it handles
this queries on its server?

Customiser = Usability problem

2007-12-25 Thread Thomas Fernandez
Hello TBBETA,

This Customiser is still a nightmare. I thought something was improved
in the GUI for it, but I must have remembered that wrong.

I just opened the Customiser and wanted to create an icon for the URL
Manager.

I found the URL Manager in the left panel. "Containers" is *not* a
word a non-programmer can understand, by the way.

The middle panel shows Account / Messages / and is called
"Actions". I didn't know an Account is an action.

The right panel is called "Layout" (Hm?) and shows, among other
entries, "Show URL Manager".

I clicked on the "Show URL Manager entry", and this activated some
arrows between the middle and the right panel. Fine! So I clicked on
the left-arrow.

The Customiser closed, the display of TB! flickered, and finally -
nothing. No URL Manager toolbar or icon. Back into the Customiser:
Now, in the Layout panel, I don't even have an entry "Show URL
Manager" any more. It is simply gone.

Question 1: How do I put an icon for the URL Manager into my toolbar?

Question 2: Is somebody working on the GUI for the Customiser?

Editing Filters Problem

2008-07-09 Thread Jens Franik
Guten Tag   The Bat! Beta,

i tried to edit an older Filter, which has the Action "Delete the
Message". The Button "Edit" is active, but nothing happens while
pressing it.

I deleted the Action and added new Actions, now the "Edit" Field of
"Delete the Message" is no longer active/able_to_press_button.

I found out, that the Action "Delete the Message" is not able to edit in
any way - or change the Action without Deleting.

And i found out, that if it is the first Action, the Edit Button appears
to be click-able, if it is the second Action, the button is inactive.

Do you see the file SSCE5132.dll in your installation directory?

Interesting that the installations go so differently. I had simply did a
complete install of the pro version.

It proceeded to do everything by itself, i.e., deleting and replacing
files without even prompting for an installation directory.

I was then up and going, and the spell-checker works right.

It's just that in the 'Dictionaries' configuration dialog, American
English is the language that I'm indicated as using. However, when I go
to the Spell-Checker/Language menu, 'British English' is selected.

However, I think that's a longstanding and already reported discrepancy.

Just inferring that it likely does since the 'Speller' directory
contains mostly files of the name SSCE*.TLX/CLX.

But you have yours. I draw a blank then. :/

I still have American English dictionary. Before I run the MSI installer I
made a copy of my Bat folder and then copied the dictionary files from one

American is still an option in my menu. I can zip it up and send it if

Header problem, v3.60.05

2005-08-27 Thread Vili
Hello tbbeta,

So, my TB! is very slow after it runs for a while, so maybe I see
stuff you dont really can observe. (However, I restarted it, and I can
still observe.) After installing v.3.60.05, if I open a mail with the
photo shown in the header, there are two pictures shown for a while (a
half a sec), see attached pic (with after-permission from Alexander
:))

I have the Display sender and the Fit headers to image clicked (it
should be, I guess, more likely Fit image to headers, not?)

Anyone confirms?

(PS. If anyone likes the skin on the picture, I have the original
grayish picture that I used to make a bluish one, product of a
Hungarian TB! user, if someone needs it.)

Serious AV problem

2005-10-18 Thread Richard Wakeford
Hello,

A friend has just sent me three articles (perfectly safe as he has
written them himself) in "dat" format. Don't ask me why as he normally
sends in Doc but he's in Brazil on a different PC. However, each time I
try to open them, I get AV after AV followed by an insistence that TB!
debugs before it allows me to close it down.

TB! reacts so violently that I can't even CTRL-C to copy the AVs to
paste here as I get more AVs when I try to copy and I can't do anything.

Date problem & MyGate(?)

2005-11-03 Thread Peter Fjelsten
Hello beta testers.

Something is very strange in the way MyGate have been running here for
some months. For some newsgroups, I get the same messages over and over
again so I end up with many duplicates. The strange thing is that this
happens only sometimes. I have uninstalled all virus checking and set
MyGate/TB to delete messages after fetching them. I have also delted
the whole installation and tried again. The problem reappeared.

MyGate is not really a very stable solution. I wish someone would be
interested in trying to make a better solution for TB and newsgroups.

I do not know if it's related to this issue, but get a load of this:

3.62.11: Filter Problem

2005-11-03 Thread Bill McCarthy
Hello TB Beta List,

I have a filter that is triggered by empty subject - it does
nothing but does not continue processing (leaving the mail
in the inbox).

The filter is:

Header field Subject match ^\s*$

I have two emails in my inbox that triggered this filter (I
checked these emails with Test Filter). The both have
subjects!

One of their subject lines is:

Subject: =?UTF-8?B?S2V5d29yZCBOZXdzOiBbYWN0dWFyeV0=?=

This looks a bit strange, but it is not empty. How is it
matching ^\s*$ ?

This can be easily reproduced.

Search dialog problem

2006-02-18 Thread Curtis
Hi all,

It would seem that in the search dialog, the switching to the 'any
string should match' option doesn't work.

I typed in a search for string 'x' in text. I got a list. I then
switched to 'any string should match' and added another condition. The
same list appeared. Hmmm. So I added a string that would be found in
most, if not all messages, i.e., 'the'. Again, I got the original list
of messages.

So, if I search for messages matching string 'x', I get list A.

If I then do a new search for messages matching string 'y', I get list
B.

If I then do a search looking for string 'x' or string 'y', instead of
getting a list A+B, I still get list A.

The beta I was using before this release candidate was not working,
though it was broken in a different way.

Once I combined string searches, the search simply didn't occur. The
matching list remained blank.

My guess is that your template is interpreting everything starting
with a % as a macro until it reaches either another % (and TB
interprets another macro) or characters like = or & that aren't
included in macro names.
Of course non existing macros return no text at all, therefore
shortening your URL.
I think that the best solution is to place your URL in a separate text
file and include that in your template with the %Put macro (not with
the %Include macro as that will try to interpret the file as a
template).

I guess it isn't a real beta issue as it's behaviour that TB's been
showing since forever.

Years ago after running theBat for quite a while and thus being
convinced that with all its bugs it was better then others with even
more irritating bugs, I deleted my hacked version and registered it
and got my key emailed.
The password was under v1.xx what you yourself selected and from what
you say it sounds like V2 got this thing removed. In a way a good
thing as several times I thought I forgot that mine was pi or in
how many decimal places...
On the other hand I think that not only due to current bugs in beta 2
but also being stuck with a registration deadline, I prefer to wait
testing v2

Essentially I have a very sick creditcard system, havent seen my card
in at least 7 years I think
Ok, I know where it is but believe me using and maintaining a card
based in the UK while in Thailand is a pain...
Unless I know what upgrade price is and whose creditcard can be used
in exchange for a cash payment (Thomas in BKK??)

By the way I was very busy, this latest worm is a gold mine to clean

View mode problem

2003-12-25 Thread Zeynel Abidin Öztürk
Hello,

When I select View threads by References, all folders including all
accounts becoming grouped by references. Same for View Threads by >
None. Is this normal? I've created different view modes, but selecting
a View mode for a folder makes no change to message list.

Thanks in advance

IMAP problem list

2004-06-01 Thread Allie Martin
Hi all,

1) mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

This message gives a detailed discription of a problem I'm having
with TB! IMAP on a slow connection where message attributes aren't
being correctly changed on the server.

2) mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

This message touches on another serious problem I'm having with TB!'s
IMAP and I think it would be greatly improved by allowing TB! to
establish multiple connections with the server. In this way while
TB! is doing one task such as syncing a folder or updating mailbox
message counts, my request to retrieve a message body can be
carried out by another connection. This would then lead to a much
reduced waiting time during use over slow connections. There's
concern about IMAP servers and multiple connections, but
ThunderBird, Mulberry, Gemini and Pegasus, the only clients worth
mentioning all implement multiple server connections.

The mid searching is getting tedious so I'll just list. :)

3) We need, on a per message and not only a mailbox basis, to be able
to download only a messages body and delay transfer of attachments
until we expressly request it. It's terrible having to wait for a
large attachment to be transferred on a slow connection when all one
really wishes to do is to read the text. Ideally, we should have a
threshold setting where attachments below a certain size is
autotransferred locally, while large ones are not loaded unless
   requested.

Setting the mailbox to sync only message bodies is not good enough
since that will happen to all messages. We need a more selective
   system than that.

4) Despite testimonies to the contrary, I'm still having a lot of
problems with using a server side Outbox. Copies of the message are
being left in the Outbox after sending. I usually end up with two
copies with each send. Additionally, autosaving leads to a fresh new
*separate* draft being saved to the outbox with each autosave.

5) Incoming mail sounds are not working with IMAP. Hopefully a
   solution is in the making.

6) Auto-filtering not working - I see this is being worked on.

7) Access Violations *STILL* occur when working with the Manage IMAP
folders panel. I've been getting them while trying to delete
multiple IMAP folders, one after the other. What I end up having
to do is to delete one, close the panel, reopen the panel and hope
the AV doesn't occur. If it occurs then I have to restart TB!
before I can delete another folder.

8) Support for IMAP server specific message colouring. The colour
groups system is TB! specific and difficult to use across different
IMAP clients. Not to mention that storing colour group attributes
on the server is a likely problem.

AFAIK, the IMAP protocol already supports specific standard colour
label attributes which would be very useful to implement.

9) Moving messages from an IMAP to a local folder is problematic when
being done with large numbers of messages. The movement of messages
hangs at about 300 and will not continue further. I have to restart
TB! to continue. I currently move large amounts of messages by
doing an export operation from the IMAP folder and then import the
exported messages locally. I then delete the exported messages from
   the IMAP mailbox.

Even the export/import exercise is not without problems. At times
when doing the operation with multiple mailboxes, an export
operation fails. I hit the export command and nothing happens. A
restart resolves the problem. The failure of the export happens
usually after having done an export from another mailbox.

There may be others, but these are the ones that immediately come to
mind. I've previously written about all these problems.

IMAP Sound Problem

2004-10-27 Thread Michael Acklin
Hello tbbeta,

I just finished downloading the latest Beta, 3.02.2.2 Rush and wanted
to report a problem I just encountered while opening it.

I was very happy to see that the IMAP improvements are included in
this version. And that is why I am reporting this problem. I am not
for sure if this has been reported or not, as I just joined the list.

When I start the program, my IMAP Account starts sounding off with the
message received .wav file I have selected. Surprised me, as I had
forgotten I had it set in the Released version. :)

What I mean is that it continues to repeat the same sound. Even
though I have not received any mail. To turn this off I go into
Account/Properties/Sound and unchecked the box for sound. BUT, if I
re-click the box, it will not start over again.

This only happens when I start the program.

Just reporting problems with this version.

GnuPG 1.3.92 Problem

2004-10-29 Thread Kevin Coates
Hello TBBeta!

Using the recent GPG trial seems to cause some problems with TB. When
verifying signatures on clear-signed messages, pressing the verify
button the following message is displayed:

gpg: conversion from `utf-8' to `CP0' not available

Anyone have any idea what this message means?

Mass mailing problem

2004-11-03 Thread Jon Polish
Hi All:

Is this by design? If so it is not functional for me because some
intended recipients are skipped.

1. Individual contacts in the address book generally contain
distinct email addresses. One or two contacts in my address book
share email addresses. These are listed as separate contacts, but
have the same email address.

2. Open the address book. Select an address book or highlight all
contacts (it does not matter). Choose "Mass mailing using
template." Send the results to the outbox.

3. If there are 500 contacts in the address book with two pairs of
duplicate addresses, only 498 emails will be generated.

I hope I have been clear about this problem.

New Ticker Problem

Howdy Flying Rodent fans,

I've noticed an interesting new ticker problem. It leaves off the
last unread message on my main account, so it doesn't appear in
the ticker window. Has anyone else noticed this behaviour?
