funny you should mention farley jackmaster funk when it comes to appropriation

basically hot 97 is what makes or breaks tracks. so nothing is going to marketed
distributed overseas by the record companies until it makes it on hot 97. hence
the time lag.

last night rolando and larry burden played at the new upstairs lounge of twilo.
rolando played the best set of techno i've ever heard. funky as fuck. mainly
played tracks in the low 130s, with a fair smattering of old kevin saunderson

The track itself had highly distorted vocals of someone reading the
lil louis is from chicago (also recorded as herclules with marshall jefferson on
trax) and is skinny and black while little louie vega is from the bronx and is

last time black people making dance music made a widescale impact in the u.s.

up there with 'f.u.' and 'loop'. great bit of acid with more than a nod to
chicago. unfortunately, it's near impossible to get on vinyl as far my
experience goes.
of course, if anyone wants to prove me wrong and point in the direction of where
i could locate
no need for the charivari bootlegs. it's been re-released on the kickin records
juan atkins compilation. (this is unmixed--unlike the earlier wax trax vinyl
release).
