Joe, I created the character field with 5 rows. After further testing I realized that it stopped writing to the file once it reached the first space. That tells me that it doesn't treat the character field as a single input parameter, but rather looks at spaces as a delimiter between multiple

Thank you everyone for the suggestions. The easiest option for us would be doing data transfers over https/443, that's why we mentioned web services. However, a colleague of mine mentioned that they investigated using Stunnel (www.stunnel.org), a universal SSL wrapper, to encrypt their DSO

Filter Problem

OK, I am stumped. I have a filter firing that should not be. I have a filter that sends a notification based on the qualification statement: ( 'AssignedConfigTech' != $NULL$ ) AND ( 'DB.AssignedConfigTech' != 'TR.AssignedConfigTech') If I am reading the statement correctly, the

I believe if you type in the name over again, even if it matches the old value, it will still push data. Which is why you usually check to see if it matches the db as well as the transaction value. -Original Message- From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList)

I did not realize that the TR. value would = $NULL$ just because it was not being modified, when it already contained a value. It makes sense now that I think about it. The 'AssignedConfigTech' can possibly be set to $NULL$, but in that case I do not want the filter to fire. Andy L.
