aradmin account to be AR#ADMIN#. Look for the Db-password: line in the

Our users receive email(s) with email received date in the future. For
example user logs in to the system at 3:15 PM anc checks email form (a view
form of email messages form), the email received date has time-stamp of 3:52
PM.
When users see the date what date would they see? Date
I fail to see a line starting with Db-password: anywhere in my ar.cfg
file.
I'm currently reinstalling the SQL 2005 tools on the AR System server to
test connectivity via that vehicle. Further, I think I've written some
java SQL 2005 jdbc connectivity apps that I might try as well.

What you could also try doing is if you have another test system, change the
password on that system, and then copy the DB-Password: line from that
configuration to your configuration and ask your DBA to set the password of
the DB user to the same password that is on your test system..

The oracle has spoken. Apparently it's a known issue
with ITSM 7 that views/forms with a / on them won't
open in browser.
That's a biggie. To install ITSM and have a whole
bunch of screens broken. There's a 10MB patch I am
evaluating.
So the lesson is don't use / in form or view name.
The funny
If the line is in the config file then the connection is probably using
AR#ADMIN#. Try logging into the database with that id and password
through another process.

I never heard of any one else that has gone ahead and set up the system
in a manner that doesn't user the aradmin user. Was it ever documented
that the folks actually changed the password. That maybe why the
Db-password line doesn't show up in the ar.cfg file.

Moral of the story - avoid using special characters to name your forms or
views. Limit use of special characters to a ':' or a '.' or a blank space
which does not seem to have any issues. I would think use of characters that
are used in URL's to represent other things should be avoided for e.g.

know. Might save some of us a few miles of work someday if we know it

Evidently, the Group List field on the user form is set to have 255
characters. That's fine, except that when you get someone who belong to
a large number of groups, 255 characters doesn't cover it. The only way
I know of to fix it is to increase the size of the Group List field on
the User

that as one option, especially since it also fixes a few other problems that

I did not realize that the TR. value would = $NULL$ just because it was
not being modified, when it already contained a value. It makes sense
now that I think about it.
The 'AssignedConfigTech' can possibly be set to $NULL$, but in that case
I do not want the filter to fire.

Be careful of the OR check against the database then. If the field changes to
NULL the TR portion will not evaluate to true but the check against the
database will.
