I wonder how many home sales roadtrip has been responsible for over the years.
Considering how many people attend each year and its been happening 7,8 yrs?

So what drove AP to where it was today?
1. Ever since Bradley first envisioned HIS Asbury Park, redevelopment,
corruption and greed plagued Asbury Park, just as it does almost every other
piece of land. This is America and we are capaitalists - most people like to
have money and some, even
I thought everything going on this weekend was fantastic for the boardwalk, the
city and for those merchants who have bet the ranch to make it here.
Regardless of the initial intent of the Road Trip, it was a reason (along with
Tiesto) for thousands of people to come here and spend money,
Do you know what makes a great real estate agent?
A perfect seller and perfect buyer.
A seller has to be willing to sell and a buyer has to be willing to buy.
Nothing worse then giving a seller a real offer and having them respond they
want more.
You have over 100 agents that are licensed
A little kid was walking with his big brother past my house the other day. I
was picking weeds from the garden.
The little kid is telling his brother...
...we got to Asbury beach..they have everything there...it's real
fun...it's like a city
The kid was around 6, his brother around 15.

No, I paid the $15 and went meet and greet smarty. Last time though.
I would rather the out of

Dan just sums it all up. Those boys from Brooklyn.
Imagine if you had to pay school taxes for real - what those property taxes
would be?
Here's a summary of a new tax bill I just got on a property I own in Ocean Twp.
The lot is 100x100 and next to wet lands and is on a DIRT road.
The HOUSE
My house (it is a carriage house about 1200 sq feet give/take, it is a
condo with 5 units in the Mansion house) was billed in AP at almost
$8000/year. It was lowered then til about $6k, but yeah if I had to pay another
couple of grand on top of that for the crappy schools system I would be

You misunderstand. They close off a portion of the 5th ave beach for the sat
sand blast portion of road trip and then charge $45
While I don't agree with the rationale about Sand Blast and the beach getting
used the way it does, I do adamantly agree about CH
To me, its the beach, and there is a lot of it compared to the space used for
Sandblast, its only one day out of the summer, no big deal.
However, CH not being open
All valid points about CH, but we can't stop there. I guess someone needs to
bring this all up at the next city council meeting. I guess when we can kiss
the Asbury Film Festival event at CH goodbye as well since it's closed off for
their welcoming event. Let's kick out revision theatre from
From a residents point of view, I agree with you 100%, its ludicris to want to
end any of that stuff, quite frankly its what makes AP so great, however, look
at it from a visitors point of view...
I bring my family in from out of town to hit up the beach, and the kids want to
hit Biggies
I understand where you are coming from, but looking at the big picture, its a 4
hr window (7pm-11pm) that CH is closed to the public. I think my guests would
be more pissed off if they were mugged or had their car broken into. In my
opinion, crime is more of a problem than whether I have to
You can say that again.
I mean there are several factors playing into the crime, and though its not the
biggest factor, I think our city officials are so concerned with parking
meters and the waterfront that they forgot about the crime and addressing it
Sure the undercover prostitution bust a

I would of called biggies and asked them to get me at the door or bring me an
order of clams.

No problem disagreeing. I
The use of the beach was not free for Sand Blast. The city charges a fee
for the use of the area and depending on the number of guests the fee gets
increased. The participants also have to buy a beach badge if they want to
use the beach beyond the party. Weddings have to pay a fee, and so do
Oh yeah, one more thing. All events such as the ones that took place this
past weekend do come before a special events committee. Recommendations are
then given to the City Council and they have the final say if the event
happens or not.

Why doesn't anybody start a movement to get this city to actually do something
about the eyesores that diminish what's good about our boardwalk.
1- The Esperanza. It needs to go.
2- The pathetic construction lot behind the Empress - it also needs to go. I
attended a laughable council meeting

Insist on FINES - The city needs money.
