I think the ges. you're seeing is the last part or abbreviation for his
surname, followed by de funto. Also, fourth sentence from the bottom reads,
moradores nesta villa.

Something is not right. The left hand page indicates a birth and baptism
record from 1799...the record of interest on the right hand side, indicates a
birth and baptism in 1777. Given that many of the pages are loose in this
book, I would say that either the page was inserted in the wr

Theresa is mention. Is the second Theresa Manoel Furtado's daughter or is
it a reference to the Theresa being baptised?

I'm finally trying to locate some Azorean records for my ancestors, and am
starting with dates for people who I already have info for. Not sure
whether I succeeded on this person, or not, so would love some help.
Since I can't seem to upload the file, here is a link to a shared pdf file
I just found the marriage record of Jose Machado Lauriano and Isabel
Silviera La? in Ribiera Secca in the year of 1901. I can make out some
of the parental information but not all of it. Also, having difficult with
the brides surname. His parents look like ANtonio Silviera de Euadro? and
I think I may have found the Baptism of Adelaide (Andrade/Aydra? - big
question on her surname - it is listed as Andrade/Aydra on two her son's
death records - but I have no real "proff" that Andrade was the surname she
used. I know that she was born between 1867-1870 in Faial.

I've listed below the link for the bapstismos record of Antonio Inacio
Cabral. He is on the bottom of the left page.
He was the son of Antonio Inascio dos Reis and Maria Izabel. I read the
grandparents as Joan Ignacio da Costa and Francisca Izabel for the paternal
side and Joaquin Joze Soares

The document you posted has the margin cut off. And you want a translation
of the margin. No one can translate if words are missing. It's a bad copy
(originally cut off) or a bad scan (not on the scanner correctly and cut

problems with the translation are Antonio Villalobos' middle name should be
Sousa and not Silveira. And right after Maria Ri

Folks, regarding the couple mentioned from Ginetes:
Andre Carvalho married Jacintha Rosa in Ginetes Säo Miguel 04 May 1822
André's parents are Manuel Carvalho and Victoria da Conceiçäo (Vittoria)
Jacintha's parents are Luis de Sousa Martins and Leonor de Säo José.
Luis and Leonor are my 4th gre

Fred, I no longer subscribe as I found that the info that ancestry provides is
primarily for North America. That tree is a bit outdated. If your ancestors
match in that online tree, let me know as I might have info going further back.

The 1900 census says she was born Dec 1867, and the baptism is for March
1869. Doesn't means the census is right though. Needs more study. The side
notation is saying that in 1879 there were witnesses attesting to the
parentage of Adelaide,
that she was the daughter of Christiano Paulino and

they got married , legitimated the child as their daughter (1872) and that is why there is
the notation at the margin.
