i'm a web developer, building sites with php and mysql (for the most part).
although i don't use all of bbedit's functionality it's the ultimate power
tool for what i (and apparently many others) do.
the developers have always been incredibly responsive, supportive,
proactive and consistently

the simplest answer to your question is 'no, not really... but kind of'.
css files are text files... which means that you're a simple search and
replace away from anything you want.
have you tried bbedit's css tools? how was what you got different from what
you wanted?
'one

yosemite? previous os?
maintained through reboot?
btw, it works as expected for me...

i just went from 10.1.3 to 10.5
10.5 changes the way sites work. in 10.1.3 i just opened whichever client's
files i wanted to work with, and could preview rendered php pages using my
global development site.
in 10.5, as far as i can tell, sites are project-specific. in other words,
i almost just moved all of my accounts (personal + client = 100+) to
bluehost, until i stumbled upon bluehostsucks.com
they apparently come down hard on any script that uses more than 10% of the
cpu its on, by killing the account instead of just the script.
there are a number of other problems
rather than script this, here's what i would do... old school, but quick
and dirty:
1. drag the folder of original images onto an open/empty bbedit window.
this will give you a list of all the images, no matter how many there are.
2. select all (command + a)
3. slam everything to the left
sorry - the replace string should be:
a href=images_big/Photo\1orig.jpgimg src=images_thumbs/Photo
\1prev.jpg/a\r
no html entities, and a line return at the end
not sure how html shows up in these posts... we'll see in a minute!

why are you asking about the scripts folder in a thread about multiple
dev environments and localhosts?
twice now i've logged in to see if anyone answered my question, and
thought that someone had replied... only to find out the posts had
nothing to do with this thread, or my question.
, and want to be able to
open them in bbedit, make a quick tweak or not, and then preview as
above... with the php rendering just as if it were under ~Sites.
under 'setup', i currently have:
site name: dev
server url: localhost/
path on server: ~blinde/
default page: index.php
applescript?
i use two applescripts to toggle my bbedit (and other app) window
sizes and locations, depending on whether i am at my desk and plugged
into my big monitor, or mobile somewhere with just my laptop screen.
when i get back to my office and plug in, i run this:
tell application BBEdit
is good.
i guess a better phrased question would be: when i drag and drop a
file from the desktop to an open browser window, it shows as file:///
Users/blinde/Desktop/index.php.

i don't really use the feature, but can you preview the template in a
browser? or just in bbedit?
if the former, you could just 'save' or 'save as...' from there.

so... i've been trying to use lowercase tags... struggling to use
lowercase tags.
bbedit does 'help' by offering them as the default, but it's not what
i'm used to.
based on the discussions thus far: SHOULD i use all lowercase tags?
does it really matter? if
it hurts!
please advise (although my question stands)

ok, so now I'm confused. if tags are supposed to be lower case, why
release 3077 broke the ability to restore saved workspaces.
this has been a problem for me as i switch back and forth between my

resetting palettes and windows has been a drag.
the problem has been reported and confirmed as a bug, and
just curious... why would you want (or need) an unbroken/unwrapped
line with 20,000 characters?

i'm kind of tweaked that bbedit still puts 'algin' instead of 'align'
in some of my tags... especially when i'm typing quickly.
i thought this would have been fixed in 10.
