One thing that's helped me is to wrap the file upload action in a try/catch
block. If it fails, return a message with the error details. If it

I noted on your Blog that you say Create a directory named CFFormGateway
under the IIS webroot. You may leave this newly created directory empty.
I am using IIS so under inetpub/wwwroot I create the CFFormGateway
directory?

I'm not in tune with the client/server side validation discussion that
was going on but I have noticed many sites taking a similar stance as
Gap.com. The JS libs coming out today make it too easy to add very
attractive features to a site and kind of forces a site to choose

Some sites can get away with things like that because of the brand. Others
need to worrie about user approval.
Some stats while were at it because javascript ins't the only thing
developer forget about. Screen Res. is another.

Sorry, Pete. I should have clarified. The technote helped me see
that, in my case, the problem with the Flash Form not displaying
properly was that the CFFormGateway directory wasn't resolving
correctly. In my case, though, it was a mod_rewrite rule that was
being applied if the file
I've had an application set up for awhile now that allows a user to post
and email newsletters from their site.
The body text is entered on a form using fckeditor, and since these
folks are lawyers, almost everything is pasted from Word and fckeditor
is handling whatever is thrown at it.
