The answer is yes. The FD/HD issue isn't switch port dependent but GBIC
port dependent. If you're only using a single Gigastack port, even if you
have 2 Gigastack GBICs in the same switch, then the GBIC will set up a FD
connection both upstream and downstream.

I've never seen what I call a cheap source for them. They are the simplest
of things though and any sheet metal worker worth his salt will be able to
knock them up in no time.
As long as you've got one, they shouldn't cost you more than a few quid each
if you need more than a couple.

There are no cheap atm routers. What I have in my lab is a 7505 with a
vip2-40 and a pa-a1-oc3mm for one router and a 7010 with a cx-aip-sm for the
second router. The 7010 does not run 12.1 ios and the commands are a little
different then the 7500 with the 12.1 ios - but it was a lot cheaper. O

It's the middle two pins. The order doesn't matter with ISDN. I have also

The DCE/DTE cable is all you need. On the cable that is marked DCE you must
use the "clockrate 64000" under the seral port you are using.

contents on all Cisco press books and pass the 4 exams the next day. I

A couple of things come to mind:
a) I would like to see the show int bri0:1 to see if the B channnel came up.
b) I do not see a dialer map statement, without it the packet will not know
where to go.
c) I had a similar problem with encapsulation failed on the packet debugs.

Does anyone know what Rx throttle means on a channelized DS-3 card. I
have one that has a T-1 bounce once every day or two. None of the other
T's bounce except this one and the only anything I see is it has Rx
throttle numbers that very slowly increase. It is a 7204VXR with 2
PA-MC-T3 cards.
