The only problem I see with Access lists on the router is the ports having to be in the same VLAN. This will allow them to see each other without going through the router. If the ports do not need to see each other why the need to be in the same VLAN, you could try put the ports in separate VLANS

PDM location commands have no functionality. Think of them as PDM build a map of networks/hosts around it based on the static, nat, global and route statements you have configured on your PIX. You can remove those commands if you wish, but next time you'll use PDM, they'll be back in your config.
