Anyone have heard of this term? I heard that anything smaller than

The router would use the IP address of the interface by which the packet
leaves the router unless you choose otherwise.

Advantage? Other then the fact it can be used to "patch together"
two networks in a bind, none. It can be considered harmful for
performance. Imagine:
Router: 10.0.0.1/24, and 172.16.0.1/24 secondary

Given that the very last bit from a binary perspective, it cannot be a
network address, unless you wanna split hairs and call /32s networks.
Note that is a reserved for private lan ip, 172.16.0.0-172.31.0.0 is the
reserved block this is part of, that particular /21 would be
172.16.0.0 to 172.16.7.

A network address can never end in an odd number. Given the IP address
172.16.0.1 and a /21 subnet mask, the network number in this case would be
172.16.0.0. The next network number would be 172.16.8.0 and so forth.

looking at a question like this. A class B address has a default mask of 16
bits, so if " You have an IP address of 172.16.4.58 with a 12-bit subnet

However the secondary network doesn't get Hello packets from the OSPF

2/ NAT appoach
NAT is not considered because it does not support ICQ.
Do anyone know other better appoach to centralized allocate IP address? (No.
of genuine IP is less than no. of async port)

do
debug ip arp
clear arp
make sure you set the scroll buffer on your terminal client to about 8
times the amount of hosts .
this will tell you all the hosts the router can see and you can watch all
the
"where ARP thou's " do there thing..
Not pretty tho on a busy segment on a production router a
