What order would be MOST
recommended for taking the 4 CCNP 2.0 tests? Also, any reviews on the exam

Hello colleagues,
I have a question regarding how to test an ISDN connection for a dialer
interface that is mapped to a loopback interface. I am used to dialer map
statements where I can ping the IP address that the dialer is mapped to, and
that brings up the ISDN link. The interface I want to
Question... Anybody know how I can test to see if our dial backup on our =
devices actually kicks up when the primary interface goes down? We have =
dialer interfaces as our backup and I want to see if they work. I just =
got to this place a month ago and have noticed that in most of the =
devices
e ping will fail, because (presumably) the router at the other end
doesn't know where to send the ping, but it should raise your backup link.
Remove the static route after testing.
This is not a complete test. It does test physical connectivity (in my
experience, the main problem with backup links
Anyone testing at Vaser in Foster City, CA, should call Prometric and
reschedule.
I found out when I went to reschedule my exam. I guess no one was going to
tell me. :(

Some suggestions.
Make sure the ISDN link works first by not placing
backup interface commands in the config. Just ping the
remote dialer interface IP and see if it is succesful.
If its not theres a config issue. Once you know the
dialer connection works then place the backup
interface command on

Make one interface dte and the other one dce and then put clocking on the
dce side .
Also check ur encapsulations is the same on both sides .
And check the physical interfaces are up .

Interface-type [dte|dce] not too sure about this one
You'll need to make a back-to-back cable first. Pins 1&2 cross to pins
4&5. Config as you would for a true WAN, except have one router clock
internal and one router clock line.

I can only get csim working if the telephones are connected
via an IP Peer.
Testing locally, i.e. two phones connected to different ports
on the same FXS module doesn't give me any successful values.

I am trying to confirm the number of a NT1 device so that I can configure an
ISDN dial up to this device.
Should you be able to call this device with a standard phone and hear a ring
tone?
Is there any other way you can test the device without getting the phone
company involved?

Guys,
VoIP Testing, do you go by MOS or PQSM. I mean when testing VoIP will
perform on a network before implementing it. There are many tools that give
a MOS score and many other tools give a PSQM report. What do you recommend?
